Sc130 Doodle blues

I love the new in colors especially the new blues. I was a dummy though and forgot to order my reinkers to watercolor with and to dye my ribbon. So I had to improvise this morning. I watercolored with my pad and blender pen (not my favorite watercoloring technique). I also used my silver cord since I didnt have any ribbon to match. I used my silver stickles on the the swirls. Again this morning my pic is dark so I think its time to change the batteries! Im still not really in a playing mood. My ear is killing me! I think I posted about a week ago about the hole in my eardrum. Well I had to go back to Dr. yesterday for follow-up and there is fluid behind the hole and my entire eardrum is irritated. It hurts to even touch my earlobe! okay Im through whinning now! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Stamps: Doodle this
paper: blue bayou, soft sky, watercolor

Dino party invitation

This is the invitation Im sending out to all the kiddies that are invited to my sons 4th birthday party. I saw this on SCS in the Dirty Dozen Gallery a couple of months ago and knew this is what I wanted to do for his birthday. Lauren(mytime) is a genius! Lauren used a set from My Favorite Things for hers but I used the new set from CTMH called Dino Roar. I waited until I saw the new SU catalog before making these b/c I wanted to see if SU came out w/a new dino set.

I got the puzzle invitation from Joann's. I left it where they can color the invitation when they put the puzzle together. The party info is on the back. I had a hard time getting a good pic of this and Im not sure why. Everytime I took it the bottom of the card was dark.

UPS brought me some goodies the other day that I still have not had a chance to play with but as soon as I do I will post them here.

I'm BAAACCKK!

Well Im back up and running(for now). My cable modem needs to be replaced but I can still get on until they bring my replacement.

I was sooo mad Friday morning! I got up early looked at the challenge...got my card made before kiddies woke up...went to computer to load card...kiddies still in bed...computer crashed! You can take a look at my gallery to see my bee card I was going to put on here Friday morning. It was for thurs. square card challenge. I love me some square cards!

Todays card is for yesterdays technique challenge and todays color challenge. For TLC122 we had to create a long card that would fit in a business sized envelope with retiring sets. So I pulled out my fave set..you know youve seen on here before! Fishy Friends!!! Now I love fishy friends but have to admit I find myself only using a couple of the stamps out of the set the most but I believe thats true for any stamp set. Come on ladies I know you've bought a stamp set of 8,10,or 12+ just b/c you fell in love with one stamp in that set! The jellyfish is the stamp in this set that gets the least amount of love from me so I inked him up today! Now the details...I stamped ittybitty backgrounds in pretty in pink on the white card base. Cheesecloth is stamped on the cool carribean layer for tone on tone. I colored the jellyfish w/my prisma pencils and gamsol. The jellyfish is colored in yellow orche and highlighted with light pink. The bubbles are colored in cool carribean. I added stickles to the bubbles and the jellyfish. The riveting circle is stamped in marigold moring with the center image stamped in pretty in pink and popped up. The circle is placed where it is to cover up an uh-oh! (dont ask)! I did some tearing and fauz stitching on this card! Polka dot ribbon is from ribbons and bows oh my.

My fingers are crossed that my cattys come in today! According to UPS they should so I will be stalking Mr. Brown today!

Happy Stampin

CTMH Circle Album

Remeber I told you we made a circle album the other day well I finally got around to adding pics to it and finishing it up. Let me start this post by saying I wasnt too thrilled w/how my album turned out that night. I think it was more the paper than anything. For about 4 yrs everything in my house was safari. I went safari crazy! About 2 yrs ago I completely got sick of it and started getting rid of all my safari/palm tree stuff. Anywhoo when I saw the paper was safari type paper I cringed. My first intentions were to come home and completely redo the album w/some different paper but thought about it and didnt. I went thru my pics and found some close-up pics of all of my family that were taken @ a church supper on Valentines Day. I didnt have a pic of all of us together for the cover so I decided to put the theme of the album instead. I hand wrote everything in the album except the title. I think the title was the typewrite alpha from CTMH. I also added a button to the front. The theme of the book is The many roles the erskine play in everyday life. As I was looking at the pics of my kids and they funny looks they had on their faces I thought about Bill Cosby as himself. It you havent seen this you have to! Its old but it hilarious! In it he talks about the nightly routine at his house and all the roles the kids play. So thats how my album was born. As I was writing each of the roles for everyone in my household I decided to add an animal that kinda represented the role b/c of the safari paper. So then I tured my album into something I was really liked. Again I didnt want to post all the pics but with this album I did want to tell you about the pages I didnt post. The first page has "Its a jungle in here" on it with some flowers and buttons with the date of the album. The second page is Daddy. The lion-The enforcer. The second page is Mommy The giraffe-The referee who oversees. The third page is my DD Alana I have to explain this pages a little to tell you why I decided on this for my daughter. The hyena-The informer. I know all of you have seen the Lion King well the hyena are always telling the lion everything that going on. Same thing at my house! Alana tells all!LOL! The next page is Madison. The monkey-the entertainer. I dont think I have to explain that page. The next page is Brayden The snake-The sneaky, slithering instigator(sp). So I finished two albums yesterday! Yahhhooo! Today we have a bday party the one w/Cinderella so I will definetly be taking some pics! Hope you enjoyed my albums and stories. I also wanted to say Thanks to Catherine and Kim I now LOVE my album I made!

Coca-Cola Album

Hello all! I told you the other day I seriously needed to get going on my scrapbooking. I wasnt quite ready to jump into my 12x12 albums yet so I made a fun chipboard album. You can find directions for the chipboard album under resources at SCS. Beate wrote a great tutorial for it. Since this album was for my hubby I didnt want it too flashy! My Mom got me some great Coca-Cola paper and stickers on one of her shopping trips that I have been saving for this album. If you havent already figured it out my DH works for coke and all those signs you see hanging up at stores with pricing etc. the drivers have to do for their stores and routes. Its called POS. My husband is king of POS at the Tifton plant b/c of his little helpers. My kids love to help Daddy do stickers as they call it. At least once a week sometimes more they pull all the stuff out the bottom of the kitchen island my DH built for me but his POS stuff has taken over it! They all get in the floor or take over the coffee table and do stickers! Now this works out great for Mommy b/c while they do stickers Mommy STAMPS! So one day during all of this I snapped some pics. The cover of the album is just DP with one sticker bottle cap. I didnt want to take away from the amazing DP. The inside pages of the album are very small 31/2" square so not alot of room to embelish so I just decided to put stickers on the backs of the previous pages. I didnt want to post the entire album but the coaster album holds 5 pages. It turned out to be a nice little something for DH. I had to make the images smaller since I was posting a few pics but you can click on the pics if you would like to see them larger.

Sc129 Glorious Turtles

Hello everyone! I am super excited about this card today! Dontcha love when you have an idea in your head and it completely comes out right on the paper. Now let me start my story with when I saw the sketch challenge this morning I let how a big (SIGH) not circles AGAIN!
Reason #1: The sketch is very similar to the one I posted yesterday so I didnt want to use the scallops again and I new alot of people would be posting cards w/the scallops and I gotta be a little unique!
Reason #2: I went to a CTMH class last night hosted by a friend (Hey Kim!) and guess what we made CIRCLES! a super cute circle album.
So I was not exactly thrilled about the sketch. I knew I needed a bday card b/c Madison got an invitation in the mail yesterday for one of her classmates bday. This little girl is a super sweet girl who has been through alot. Her aunt and uncle are raising her and her sister b/c the Mom was an unfit mother. The kids also got an invitation yesterday for another bday party on Thurs. that I already knew about; its for their cousin (Ella) my SIL threw together a last minute party for her. SIL is having Cinderella come to the party and my girls are going to have a fit!! We have a bday filled week this week. We have Ella's bday on Thurs, Lexi's on Sat @10:00, and Rebekah's @ 1:00 on Sat. I have Ella's gift and card made already but I have to get busy on the other two. Anyways back to my point this card is for Lexi's bday, I will post the rest of her gift later (after I figure out what Im going to make!).

I wanted to use fun colors on this card since it's a girls bday card as I was looking throught my color combos I remebered I had some cuttlebug pieces that I did @ Moms house. I dont have a cuttlebug b/c Im not a huge fan of the embossed cards and to be honest they are on just about every card you see in the gallery and I get tired of seeing them! So, I had this ballet blue piece that had bubbles (circles) embossed on them and my card was born! I colored my images w/prisma pencils and blended with gamsol and stumps. I also colored the background this time which really makes a difference in the image to me so you will be seeing alot more of that! The cameo coral layer is stamped with the bubbles (open circles) from Itty Bitty backgrounds. I use that stamps everytime I use one of these cute little images from Silly Sealife they were just made for each other! I put a dot of stickles on each of the bubbles and on the turtles so its super sparkly IRL! The sentiment is from the faux ribbon set by PaperTreyInk.

Stamps: Silly Sealife, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Faux ribbon
Paper: cameo coral, glorious green, ballet blue
Ink: same as above + black StazOn
Other: stickles, ribbon from Taylors ribbon share, cuttlebug circles, fiskars circles, stickles

Color Challenge-No celery!

Hello everyone! If you've done the color challenges posted by Emily you know she is a total fan of celery. Today she wanted to find a color combo that didnt use celery. This is what she came up with...real red, barely banana, and creamy caramel.

I used my scallops that I punched out from Mamas a couple of weeks ago. I tried 4 times to get the flower centered in the scallop and finally just settled on this one it was the closet to the center. I think I need to remount that stamp! If you have any stamps that need to be remounted its very easy to do. Stick your stamp in the microwave (rubber side up) for about 10-15 seconds and it will come right off for you to remount! I stamped Well worn words background on the real red layer but you cant see it in the pic. The creamy caramel layer also has some tone on tone stamping. I colored the flower w/prisma pencils and gamsol.

Stamps: delight in life, well worn words
paper: real red, creamy caramel, WW
Inks: stazon, creamy caramel, real red, barely banana
other: ribbon, scallop punches

Hope you all have a great stampin day! I plan to lay the cards aside for today and try to do some scrapbooking. I am so behind on my scrapbooks! I bought some photo storage boxes at HL and just finished getting all my pics organized-I filled up 3 boxes and I think they hold about 1,000 pics! Most pics have 2-3 copies for the Nanas books too! I hope I will have something to post for you later on today!

Ella bday animals

I made this altered DVD tin for my niece for her bday on Thursday. I saw this in Papercrafts new magazine and new I had to do it for her. I used DP from a slab of Paperstudio paper I got from HL and Rose Red to cover the outside of the tin. The ribbon is from Michaels. I used my Quickutz Olivia for her name and Emily for the word animals.

The inside is covered with the DP and has all the images from Silly Sealife and Fishy Friends stamped in black on regal rose, rose red, lovely liliac, only orange, old olive, and barely banana to match DP. All the animals have stickles along them for some sparkle. The are glued to craft mini sticks with their names handwritten on the sticks. The pic of the inside of the tin is blurry for some reason. Sorry! I had the kids help me name the animals. All the animal name begin with the same letter as the type animal they are like Sammy the Shark. My kids liked it so much now I have to make one for them.

Speed Racer cards

Hey everyone! Today seems to be back to normal. Hope you all had a great fathers day weekend. I had a weekend of stalking, grilling, swimming, and just hanging out w/family. It was fabulous! We went to see Fantastic Four yesterday. Awesome movie! DH got a new grill for fathers day and had to use it all weekend which works out great for me....No cooking for me always makes for a great weekend!

Okay on to the card. Todays TLC was to create a card that you could create in 5-10 minutes. These type of cards are usually created in bulk so you can send out RAKS in the need a lift forum. Well when I think of quick and easy cards a one layer card always seems to come to mind. I also had some yummy ribbon that I got from Michaels in the $1 bin awhile back that I wanted to use. So here is what I came up with for a speedy card.
Stamps: Bodacious Bouquet, Faux Ribbon
Paper: WW
Ink: Aegean Blue, Tea Leaves Versa Dew Drops
Embellies: Ribbon

I also used my brocade blue marker and color spritzing tool all over the card for a little something extra.

Ashleys Bday

Today is Ashley bday! Go on over to her blog and wish her a happy bday! She is 24 yrs old today!

Shannon/Ashley Challenge

Well Ashley and Shannon are at it again! This time it was my turn to pick a challenge. I chose a sketch and a color combo! The color combo was ballet blue, lavender lace, and cool carribean. The sketch was from CPS sketch.
This is what I came up with for the sketch. I havent used my birthday banter set in 4evah! I thought the fish would be cute w/these colors. Its hard to see but the happy bday sentiment is stamped randomly in cool carribean on the card base. The fish and candles on the white layer are covered in stickles.
Here is the link for CPS.
Check it out and create your own card and post the link in the comment sections. Happy Stampin!
Stamps: birthday banter
Paper: cool carribean, ballet blue, lavender lace
Ink: stazon black, ballet blue, cool carribean, lavender lace
embellies: stickles, ribbon from Ribbons and bows oh my, tag punches, stampin dimensionals.

Friends are like flowers

This card was from Tuesday's color challenge I just never got a chance to post it. I wasnt really happy with the way it turned out. I think it was just my mood that day. Too much drama! I borrowed this set from my Mom since its retiring. I colored the images with reinkers and blender pen and I think that's what I dont like about the card. I think pencils or aquapainter would have been a softer look for this image. All layers are sponged with chocolate chip.
Paper: tempting turquiose, cameo coral, chocolate chip, certainly celery, WW
Ink: same
embellies: brads (MM), oval punches, tag corner punch, velvet ribbon from Michaels

Freaky Friday

Hey everyone! I am so sorry about the lack of posts this week. Today was a perfect ending to a messed up week. My 4 1/2 yr old decided today was the day to cut her hair. I know just about every kid has done this but I was so furious w/her! I have been growing her bangs out for over 1 yr now so her hair will be one length. So we had to take a trip to the beauty shop today. I cried! The only cut that would remotely cover the damage she done was a pixie type cut. so her hair is about up to her ears. I hope next week will be much better! I have about 4 things to show you guys but my camera does not do good @ night. I have a altered can I made for my cousins baby shower to show you and another Shannon/Ashley challenge also. I am also getting close to my first Hoppin Blog Candy!

P.S. I know you are probably tired of reading my drama but sometimes as messed up as it sounds I like to read about other peoples troubles. It makes me feel a little better to know that others are going through some of the same stuff as I am. I just try to remeber that there are people out there who are in much worse situations which makes my troubles seem less than I made them out to be. Although this week that has been kinda hard to me to do!

Kirsten's blog link is wrong I've added her link to my sidebar along with a few others so if you want to see her tutorial mentioned below click on her link(confessions of a naptime stamper) under Awesome blogs.

Ashley's Color Combo

Hey everyone Im finally back today. This has just been a bad week for me! If you read my very long post below you know how Tuesday was for me. Well unfortunately Wed. wasnt much better. I got my ignition($125) fixed only to find out I need a new transmission. My cousin is on his way back to Alaska and we didnt get to see each other at all (insert frown). I ended up having to go to the Dr. yesterday after being in the pool all day Monday w/the kids my ears were bothering me. I have a hole in my eardrum caused by infection. So I am on a mega round of antibiotics for 20 days and after 10 days on the medicine if the hole doesnt appear to get smaller I have to go to a specialist to prevent any permanent hearing problems. So when it rains it pours right?!!!?
After the week I've had and on top of that NO SCS! So I was super excited when Ashley emailed me today to see if I wanted to do a color challenge! The colors she chose were creamy caramel, sage shadow, and bravo burgundy(or cranberry crisp). So I went looking through my stamps to see which one I wanted to play with for this color combo and pulled out my little Inky Antics turtle. I havent played w/the scalloped punches as much as everyone else in fact I dont even own one(GASP). My Mom does and when she went on vacation I borrowed them and punched some out for myself. This turtle fit perfectly in my mega?(pink) circle in WW layered with the giga(purple) in creamy caramel. The bravo burgundy strip is stamped with the flower from Background Basics in burgundy but its hard to see in the pic. The ribbon and button I picked up @ Walmart. The card sketch can be found at Sketch This #16. The turtle is colored w/prisma pencils and blended w/gamsol. Check out this great tutorial at Kirsten's blog on coloring w/prisma pencils. www.confessionsofanaptimestamper.blogspot.com
Also check out Ashleys blog to see what she creates for our color challenge. www.ashleyscreativecorner.blogspot.com . Hope you have a great day!

Warning: Vent and LONG post

Sorry no post yesterday. If you dont want to read my long drawn out story scroll down to the pics. I had the day from h**l yesterday. My day started with being woke up by AWFUL weather lightning that was lighting up the house..thunder that literally shook the house. It lasted about 2 hours and was gone as soon as it started so we could get on with our plans for the day w/o any weather. We were getting ready to go to Valdosta b/c my cousin is here from Alaska. He is in the navy and was stationed in Hawaii for 5 yrs. then he got moved to Alaska and he's there for 5 yrs. The last time he was home Alana was 3 months old. Let me start by telling you a little about my car-lately my car is turning into a ghetto car! You know the drill...car is almost paid off, warranty has expired and everything in it starts going. For some odd reason my AC and windows wont work when you turn on the card unless you jiggle or push on the key. When my engine gets warmed up and Im in 4th gear and I have to stop like at a stop sign/light(like on 319) my engine jumps and my car will not go past 2nd gear its like it gets stuck....now heres the ghetto part. If I pull over and restart the car its fine....until I have to stop again. This has been going on about 2-3 weeks now. My Dad is a mechanic and cant seem to find the time to work on my car for me. Story of my life. He was supposed to work on it this past weekend but I obviously intruded on his plans so he didnt work on it. If you know me personally you know the complicated story of my Dad. There are just so many things built up and they all came to head yesterday when once again he couldnt/wouldnt help me. So back to when we were at the gas station getting ready to head out to Valdosta. My air wasnt coming on so I jiggle the key still no air/windows wouldnt come down. I tried this about 3 times then started to push on the key and as I did this my key broke off in the ignition. WHAT??!!! My car completely shut off while Im in the middle of the gas station driveway. So, guess who I have to call.....Daddy. He actually comes through this time he was on his way to help me. While waiting on him I started fiddling w/it to see if I could at least get it to crank since the key was in the ignition. Got it cranked, called Daddy and he sent me to Tri-State lock. It took the guy 2 minutes and $6 to get my broken key out and make a new one. (Big sigh of relief) So I called my cousin again to tell him we would be on our way and loaded up the kids. Crunk up the car no air/windows wont go down. By now I scared to jiggle/push on the key. So I fiddled with it a few minutes...NOTHING. SO I said forget it! I called my cousin told him it just wasnt in the cards for us to see each other today. Me and my 3 head back to Omega-no AC no air PERIOD. We were all sweating our butts off b/c we couldnt let the windows down and the only thing coming out of the AC vents was HOT air from the engine. So we get home and I end up having to call my Dads friend at another shop to look at my car. Well their parking lot has been broken into 5 x in 3 weeks so I have to go there at 5:00 to see IF he has enough room to house my car inside for the night. My hubby goes to work at 6 a.m. and they dont open until 7:30 so that option was out. So I had to find another option to get my car there and get an alternate car. So I called my Mom and she let me use her truck. So that was checked off the list. My MIL was going to meet me @ the shop to drop off my car-Check. Now I needed a back-up plan in case he couldnt store my car overnight. So took a deep breath and called Dad. My Dad lives 3 miles down the road from me and has to PASS my house to get to Tifton where the shop is, so I ask him if they cant house my car could he pick it up in the rollback(wrecker) and take it to Grimes on his way to the shop. My Dad drives the wrecker everywhere b/c he's always on call so I thought this was no big deal. His answer was he would have to wait until tommorrow to see if he could. So I said "So, youre saying not to depend on you as a option". So I got my car to the shop @ 5 they had enough room to houe the car.(bigger sigh of relief). MIL took the kids went to a stamp class. On the way home I called my Dad to tell him I got my car to Grimes and they would start on it the morning. Longer story short what I said to him completely got turned around to me saying that he was not dependable. A few tears and harsh words later my Dad hangs up on me. So my awful day ended with me crying myself to sleep about my Dad AGAIN!

Okay now for the card.. I made this card for Beate's weekend sketch challenge I love doing sketch challenges! I borrowed my Mom's In Full Bloom set that she just bought from my upline. I never bought this set. Another one of the sets I loved all the creations from it just never got around to buying it. The card is the gate fold. It was super easy to make and super fun! The first pic is the front of the card and the second pic is the inside of the card. The bee circle helps keep the card closed. All images were colored with SU markers.

Paper: Brilliant Blue, Summer Sun, Green Galore, WW

Ink: markers in above colors, Sahara Sand marker

Versa Dew Drop Doodles

Well its the start of a new week which puts us closer to the new SU catalog!!!!!! Im getting so excited! My Mom and I have planned to not look at the catalog until we are together and can drool together! (seriously Mama I promise I wont peek!) Hope you all had a great weekend. We got our pool put back up and its ready to swim in which we will defintely be doing today since the weather is supposed to be yucky tommorrow. I think Im going to take my 3 to see Surfs Up tommorrow. Did anyone go see it this weekend?
Okay on to the card.
I have some more posts for you today but Im going to start with this one. This was a sorta warm up card for me. Ive had a slab of textured cs my Mom bought from awhile back; so I pulled it out and started looking through some of the colors. I found this pink which was a perfect match with my Versa dew drops so that's how this card was born. The doodle flourish is stamped in Pink Grapefruit. I stamped the flowers in StazOn black on watercolor paper. I used my reinker and versa dew drops in Mango, Key Lime, and Pink Grapefruit to color the flowers. The sentiment is from PaperTreyInk and is stamped twice- the bottom layer is keylime then stamped over in Mango. The black ribbon is from Walmart I put the bow on a popdot for something different. The flowers are also up on popdots. I just love those little things! So a quick little card for you this morning. I will be back later with some cards I made over the weekend that just need a couple more little touches to them.

Featured Stamper-Seewah

Hello all! Just a quick post today. This card is for the featured stamper challenge. Today's featured stamper is Seewah. She has an awesome gallery. Her cards are crisp and clean lines-very pretty. I chose to case her boy bday card here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/552408?cat=500&ppuser=378

I changed her layout and brad placement a little since my card was longer. I needed a boys bday card too so I went with Wild about you b/c I dont have the dino set.

Paper: very vanilla, chocolate chip, card base from K&Co. from Hobby Lobby

Ink: chocoalte chip, sahara sand, most mustard, creamy caramel, old olive.

Challenge b/w friends

Hello all! I made this card today for a little challenge for me and Ashley. I was looking through Page Maps the other day and found this neat sketch. So I pmed Ashley and asked her if she wanted to do a little challenge with me. I decided to use the Bella images Ashley sent me on this card. I used the POP in amethyst , regal rose, and whisper white for paper. I colored the bella in regal rose, almost amethyst, close to cocoa, creamy caramel, chocolate chip, and green galore. The primas were some I got at Michaels awhile back. I used riveting and the birthday sentiment is from close to my heart. To get the curve in the paper I flipped it over and traced the edge of a paper plate from one edge to the other. Too easy! Hope you enjoy my Bella sketch card. To see Ashley's take on the sketch visit www.ashleyscreativecorner.blogspot.com
To see the sketch visit www.pagemaps.com
Hope you all have a great weekend! We are putting a pool up this weekend AGAIN. The last one we got(my Mothers Day present) had a hole in the valve stem so it wouldnt hold up and we had to drain it and take it back! Just a little hint for anyone is might be looking to get a pool at Walmart with the inflatable ring at the top....if the ring deflates your pool will not hold up! We got the 16" pool and the valve stem where you pump up the ring was torn at the seam so it would not hold air and our pool walls almost collapsed.

back to bed

Okay I need to go back to bed and start over! Im going to need some extra pages today for my boo-boos! The card below is not for the ways to use it challenge its for the limited supply challenge LSC119! hopefully thats the last boo-boo for today!

Link

Sorry the link below is wrong! Here is the link for the sketches. http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/

Ways to use it

Hello all! I made this card for todays WT challenge. The challenge was to use non traditional background stamps for backgrounds. No pp or cuttlebug. I pulled out my little monkey I love him b/c hes so cute! I found this sketch www.cardpositioningsystem@blogspot.com they have some great sketches! For this card I used certainly celery, regal rose, so saffron, chocolate chip inks and paper. I used PaperTreyInks new white paper for card base and image it is extra thick which makes it great for card bases. All layers have tone on tone stamping with images in the Monkey Business stamp set. I tried 3 times for my monkeys tail to line up with the vine and finally just settled on this one! The hearts in the monkeys hand and the bananas on the sentiment are pop dotted.
If you have as much stuff as I do you are always looking for some nifty storage solutions. I thought I'd share my fave storage solutions. If you've seen some of my cards you know sponging is one of my favorite things to do to cards so I had sponges and daubers everywhere! I hated having all colors on a sponge. My upline showed me how she stored her sponges and I went to looking for one. This is a matchbox card storage it holds 48 of the matchbox cars which means it hold 48 sponges and daubers. I cut my sponges in quarters so now I dont have to worry about hunting for the dabuber/sponge with the right color on it and I dont have to worry about cleaning them! I have them labeled on the outside
with the colors. It has 2 sides so I have brights/subtles on one side and earth/regals on the other side.
Happy Stampin

Lady Chipboard

Hello everyone! Im cheating today Im posting the same card on my gallery and on here. This card is for today's Ways to Use It challenge. The challenge was to use chipboard. I love the circle chipboard that comes in the On Boards accents chipboard. This is such a fun layout! Dont you love it when you are sitting down with your card and you have a layout in mind but the card takes on a life of its own! The best part is that it worked! These ladybugs are just too precious!
Okay on to the recipes. I used almost amethyst, Palette Noir for inks. The ribbon is from Taylors awesome ribbon swap! Paper I used was pallette o prints, almost amethyst, basic black and my new PaperTreyInk white which I love. It's so thick!!! Great for using to gamsol!

Well I have a swimming pool just calling my name so Im off to have some fun in the sun with the kiddies so I will post something else for you later on this afternoon. Have a great day!

Rubber Romance

Just stopping in with a quick post this afternoon. I posted this in my SCS gallery yesterday and wanted to share it with you here. I love this Rubber Romance stamp I got from Eclectic Paperie the other day. The image is so big and fun to color. I used Beate weekend sketch challenge #3 for the layout on this card. The ribbon is some I got from Ribbons and Bows Oh My. The dp I used on this card is Crate Cowgirl collection I got from Eclectic Paperie too (can you tell I love their store). Joy and Daisy are so sweet! The colors I used on this card are ruby red, bashful blue, close to cocoa, chocolate chip, barely banana, and creamy caramel.

Just a note: I usually post different cards on my gallery than on my blog so for more of my creations check out my SCS gallery.

Fishin Fella

Well I told you my super sweet friend Ashley sent me some Bella images but she also included some Fella images too. I love this fishing fella. My Dad and Stepdad are both fishermen so I knew I wanted to use this image for them. Alli Miles posted an awesome card using the Beach Fella and I cased her layout. I stamped the mellow moss panel with cheesecloth for tone on tone. I made the DP with my faux ribbon set from PaperTreyInk. The ribbon is some I got from Ribbons and Bow Oh My. They have an excellent selection of ribbon and shipping is super fast! I punched the circle of friendship with the 1" circle punch and matted it on the 1 3/8" mellow moss circle. The center of the circle of friendship is punched out with the 1/2" circle punch stamped in summer sun. The card base is brocade blue. I thought I would never use that color but I find myself grabbing it alot! I colored the fella with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol and stumps. The brads are mellow moss.

I know you've all been seeing some of the preview brochure cards on SCS! Im so excited about the new catalog. It seems like forever before July 1 will get here! My preview order should be in next week so I will be creating something for you soon. I will be back with some SCS challenges later this week I've been slacking on the challenges but I got some cards made for you today!

OOPS!

Sorry! The pics reversed for some reason when it posted!

Winder Swaps

Good morning everyone I hope you had a fab day yesterday! Well I've promised some pics of the swaps we did in Winder and here are a few. I will be including some in the post this week. I have so much I want to show you but can not get it all on one post! The first pic is my swap. I made a post-it note tote and a pouch. My pouch is very tired after a long drive and a day full of stampin fun so you have to excuse him for slouching! LOL! Because we had to take everything you needed to make the swap I tried to keep it pretty simple (less stuff for me to keep up with). The post it tote is old olive, cameo coral, and WW. The post it tote is super easy to make. You take cs 3 1/2 x 11 and score @ 5, 5 1/2, and 6. Then punch a handle using your word window punch. Attach your post it notes to the inside with sticky strip(red line tape). Tie a ribbon around the handle and VIOLA! A super cute gift to give along with a matching card and beaded pen! To make the pouch (again super easy) I used the Au Chocolate paper from the Spring Mini but your pouch will stand better with cs or cs weight DP (like American Crafts). The paper is 5x11 and score @ 1 1/2 for the flap. I added a scalloped edge to mine and glue the flap closed! I used the thank you from tags so much and stapled ribbon to the top. I put a cello bag inside filled with paper shreds and a cute little gift! Super easy and still so cute just the way I like it!

The second pic is some of my fave swaps we did on Saturday. The cards include rock 'n' roll, emboss resist, and watercoloring direct to stamp. It was so fun to meet these ladies we had a blast. Robin was fantastic for putting this thing together! Im looking into having one in Tifton soon if you are interested let me know. I will be starting a thread on SCS with the details but I will let you know when I have decided what Im going to do. Happy Stampin

Color Combo PaperTreyInk

Just stopping in this morning for a quick post! This is the card I made for this weeks color combo. Cool carribean, chocolate chip, & garden green. I cant use cocoa or chocolate chip on a card and not sponge and distress! I love how my card turned out! The stamp set I used is green thumb from PaperTreyInk. The ribbon is some I picked up at Michaels a couple of weeks ago it was a great find. I used my new pewter snaps on the right side of the card. The spotlight is the Marvy Mega scallop with the center cut out using my Fiskars. There is also piercing on the top of the card but its hard to see in the pic. Have a great weekend. I will be back Monday with some pics of the swaps from Saturday!
