Wassail Christmas Emma

Its been awhile since I had a chance to play along in the challenges so I was excited to play in todays FS challenge. Congrats to Mrs Boz! I cased her card here. I kept the layout but added some layers, moved the piercing to the main image mat, added some pearls, left off the sentiment, and used different nestie labels. I used this adorable new image from ATS. I love the sugarplums! Im lovin this wassail dp right now for some reason. I also did something that Ive never done before on this card. I couldnt figure out what embellies I wanted to use and went looking through my bling box and came across some off white pearls but they wouldnt work and then I remebered you can color them with your copics! Another perk of copics!LOL!! So I colored my pearls and love how they look! The red pearls were just what I needed to finish off my card!

Peas on Earth

LOL!! This image is just so cute to me...AND the best part is its a freebie if you join the PCP Whimsie Doodle group. I usually dont really do sentiments for a focal image b/c of course I like to color and I always feel my cards are too BLAH with nothing colored on it!LOL!! Other people make GORGEOUS cards with just sentiments but I dont like MINE!LOL! So this card was a little different for me but I love how it turned out!! I used Jens sfytt for my layout and paired the image with Eskimos kisses dp. The letters were harder to shade than I thought they would be since Ive gotten so used to coloring people!LOL! Dont look too closely at my E since it was the first one I colored and I couldnt get it to blend the way I wanted BUT I already had all my little peas colored and didnt want to redo the image! After I colored the image I cut it out using the large labels and sponged pretty in pink around the edges. I used PTI new leaf and aqua mist cs along with SU pretty in pink. I added some piercing along the bottom of the card and used MS snowflake punch and pink dew drops for my embellies. I think this turned out pretty cute!!

I had a blast today shopping but oh Im soooo tired!! I left my house at 3:45 am to meet up with my friend to begin our shopping day and I just got home at 4:00 pm! I finally found someone who can hang shopping with me!LOL!! My Mom and MIL cant hang!! J/K Mama!! I love you!LOL! I was able to finish just about ALL my shopping today though and was able to spend the day with a great friend! Hope you had a great shopping day too!

Long card Ivy

I was going through my archives today and found this card I made last week that I forgot to share. I made this card for Mercy's sketch challenge from last week and Fridays long card challenge. I already had this image from The Greeting Farm colored up so I had to dig through my dp and find some that matched. I found this piece of polka dot dp from a stack from MME. I usually always find my dp first then color my image but since I was totally intimidated with this image I colored it first!LOL! I dont know why I was so scared to color it now! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving full of family friends and fun!! Im off to get some sleep so I can be ready to shop til I drop tomorrow!LOL!! Have a great one!

No dp Madelynn

OMG!! I had so much fun coloring this sweet little girl! She is from The Greeting Farm's Twinkle Tots line. I colored her using yesterdays color challenge colors Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, and Pretty in Pink. I used ALOT of colors to color her up but I love the result! Since I used a Greeting Farm image I decided to play along with the FFF challenge. No dp! I pulled out some very neglected background stamps and a new ef folder for this card. Using Mercys Tuesday sketch for my layout I stamped Linen (my fave background) onto the old olive layer before I used the ef and sponged the edges. For the bermuda bay layer I stamped the Tres Chic background and sponged the edges. I didnt want to add alot of embellies so of course I just stuck with ribbon. I cut Madelyn out with some of my new nesties and sponged the edges with pretty ink pink then added her using dimensionals.
I hope to get alot of stamping done on our Thanksgiving break but for today its cleaning before everyone comes for tommorrow! Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Santa Ian

Finally I can upload!! I tried 3 times yesterday to upload this card!UGHH!! For my card I used last weeks mojo sketch but left off the circle sentiment since. I went flipping through some of my dp and ran across this wassail dp from Basic Grey and thought the present dp was perfect for Santa Ian. I love this wassail dp b/c it has sahara sand in it and I NEVER use that color so I added some sponging to dp and cs. At least it get used one time a year!LOL! I colored Ian using copics and added some sparkly fluff from eclectic paperie to his suit and hat. I also went over his shoes and belt with sakura clear glaze pen and his belt with gold. I think I'll give this card to Bray's teacher for Christmas since Bray says Ian looks like him!LOL!

Candy Cane Snack

I warned you Im totally addicted to digi stamps right now. This uber cute image is from The Greeting Farm. I love Marina's animals! I colored this candy cane snack image using copics and cut it out with nesties then sponged the image using antique linen ink to make the white on their clothes stand out more and to match the dp. I used Jolly by Golly dp by Cosmo Cricket it was just perfect for these candy cane snacking mice!LOL! Okay normally Im NOT a mice person but these are adorable! I kept the embellies off this card and just added some piercing in the corners since this will be a mailed card.

Why arent there enough hours in a day to do the things we WANT to do and not just the things we HAVE to do!LOL!! I have several images on my desk just waiting to be colored and Im just dyin to color them but Im in the middle of a book I just cant put down plus theres that job/wife/mom thing too!LOL!! Im so looking forward to Thanksgiving break! Come on Tuesday!!LOL! Plus I did a really stupid thing and agreed to meet one of my besties for the midnight showing of New Moon tommorrow night. What was I thinking!?!LOL! I know we'll have a ball but seriously...you need sleep to survive a Friday at the Prek!LOL!! Have a great night!

Eskimo Kisses

Isnt this image the sweetest!??! Ive seen qutie a few beautiful cards in blogland using this image from Mo's Digital Pencil and I just had to have it. (I say that all the time dont I?!)LOL! This is my first time ordering from them and I just love this image so I will probably be getting more soon! Im really hooked on digi stamps right now the only thing is my printer wont take the thicker cs like PTI or CC designs copic paper so Im having to use my GA pacific cs and its not my fave to color on with copics. I have a HP deskjet 3940 so if anyone has found a trick to using the thicker cs I'd love to know. If not any suggestions on printers that will use the cs would be great too.

Okay onto the card. Of course I colored my image using copics. (BTW I plan to pull of my prismacolor pencils and give them some love this week!) I colored the image using the colors from the MME dp. I have no idea the name since I got it in a stack at HL but I thought it had nice wintry colors so I went with it. I added some snow glitter to the ground and sponged the edges with antique linen ink. A double row of piercing and a bow finish off my simple card. Have a great night!

A treasure for Birgitta

Horray for Dawn todays featured stamper!! I love Dawns gallery and had to case her swiss pixie card here. I kept the layout and stamp but changed the colors, left off the sentiment, and add some embellies. I love this peppermint dp I got from Michaels a couple of years ago. I cut into my last sheet today (pout!). It was just perfect for this Santa Birgitta image and candy cane stripe ef. I colored her using copics and added frosted lace stickles to her hat and some chunky Christmas glitter I got from a friend to her wings.

Swiss Pixie Nora

Two rainy days and no outside playtime does not make for fun days at the PreK! I needed to stamp today!LOL!! I had this image already colored for the Copic Creations red hair challenge and when I saw the sketch for today I knew I had to make a card. Thanks Rox and Dawn for a great sketch. I love the colors in the MME Christmas dp and while Im waiting on it to get to me I decided to play with this SU dp from last year. BTW the sponging around the image was supposed to be bashful blue but I think I picked up the sage shadow dauber! Oopss but I wasnt going to trash it so just pretend its bashful blue!LOL!
Angela thanks for the email about the hair colors!

Paper: white, tangerine tango, choc chip, SU dp from last year

Heidi Ornament

Have I ever said I hate Mondays before?!?! My Monday was actually going pretty good until I got to my car this afternoon only to find I had a flat tire! So there went my plans to go to Lowes today and get the light I need to take my pics so here I am with another pic with yucky lighting but I finally made a card and wanted to post it yucky lighting and all. Yall know I love me some Swiss Pixies so when All that scraps release 3 different Swiss Pixies last week I had to have them all!! I went on a shopping trip with Mama over the weekend and came across this dp from Paper Studio and thought it would be perfect with this image OH and that MS punch just ended up in my buggy too! Dont know how that happened!LOL!! I colored the image using copics using the colors from the dp and used added diamond stickles to her wings. I also added crystal effects to the ornament and it came out in a big glob so some of her hand is covered. Oh and a little piece of advice...dont add crystal effects before you cut and emboss with nesties! Thankfully you cant see it very good but it made an indention in my image for some reason!

Bundled Up Mike

This is another one of those cards Im just not sure about!! When I saw the Color Throwdown colors this past week I thought they would make a fun winter card for polar animals! So I went looking through my animals and found Bundled Up Mike from Whipper Snapper. I colored him using the colors from the challenge and added some sponging around this edges of the circle with Versamagic wheat chalk ink. I also added some stardust stickles to the image for some sparkle. I also went over his nose with the Sakura clear glaze pen to make it a little shiny. I used up some scraps of cs and dp to finish up my card and played around with them until I found a layout I thought would work. Now yall know me and layouts but I didnt use a sketch on this one! Yayy me! I added a Joanne buttony bow to finish off my card. I cant really put my finger on why Im not lovin this card but maybe it will grow on me!LOL!
