Krafty Saffron Nights By the Sea

I made a SUO card!! The colors for todays challenge are so saffron, night of navy, and kraft. I wanted to make a pretty quick card since I have my neice over today and I didnt want to color an image. (GASP!) Did I just say that out loud!?!LOL!! I pulled out this retired SU set and thought it would be great for todays colors! I stamped the image onto kraft using night of navy. Seriously probably the first time Ive used this pad and Ive probably had it for 3 yrs now!LOL! I even dusted off my hardware for this card. I used Julees mojo93 for my layout.

Stamps: Summer by the sea
Paper: kraft, textured night of navy, saffron prints, white
Ink: night of navy, so saffron
Accessories: kraft taffeta ribbon, dimensionals, pewter hardware

Little Bear

Todaystechnique challenge is faux burnt edges. I decided to pull out this image that I love just b/c it reminds me of the Little Bear books. My kids love them and we have read them 100s of times!LOL! I decided to actually use the book cover as my inspiration so I pulled the colors from the cover. I also used the leaf ef to try to match the leaf design. I think I'll stick this card in the book and the next time one of them want to read it they will find a surprise inside!LOL!
Quick post today! Alanas checkup is today so we have to head out the door!

Eggspresso

We had a bad lightning storm here today after lunch! Lightning was popping everywhere...and I dont do lightning!LOL! Our power has been out most of the day today so Im finally getting a chance to load this card I made this morning.

Todays featured stamper is Dawn L. While browsing through Dawns gallery I found this you crack me up card. I ordered this eggspresso whippper snapper image a few months ago and havent played with him yet so I decided to case Dawns card and finally give this image some ink. I didnt have the dp Dawn you used but I found this AC dp with funky circles on it and used it. I also kept the button and ribbon Dawn used on her card. I colored the egg using prismacolor pencils and copics and just couldnt get the egg the right color I wanted!!! It turned out too grayish! I think its time to place another Icopic order!LOL! Have an eggcellent day!!

Tropical Mouse Sweets

I wanted to make a super quick card today so I went through my stash of colored images and came across this mouse sweets image. So fun and bold and bright!LOL! Perfect for todays ways to use it challenge. I used some Amercian crafts cs from the tropical collection that I picked up from HL on one of mine and Mamas shopping trips. Super yummy cs!! I cut the mouse out with the largest labels 3 nesties. I also added some stardust stickles to some of the candies so now they look sugar coated!LOL!! The pink on the mouses nose is way more pink than I wanted but lets just pretend hes on sugar overload..okay!LOL!! Alana loves this image prolly cuz all the candy!LOL!! Okay maybe Im on sugar overload here too!! Have a sweet day!

Sparkling Froggy Gift

I made this card for todays sketch challenge. Ive had this cloud 9 dp for the longest time. I love the sparkling frogs on it although my paper cutter didnt like it!LOL! The frogs are raised so it wasnt the easiest to cut. I paired it with HH froggy gift that I colored using copics. The colors in the dp were hard to match up. I ended up coloring his hat 3 times before I finally got it where I wanted. I finally ended up adding some cool gray shades to tone down the b01 to try to match the blue in the dp and then most of it got covered up!LOL!! I used labels 3 nesties to cut him out and added quickutz photo corners. I paper pierced the two sq panels and decided to leave off ribbon. Have a great day!!

Stamps: Froggy gift
Paper: textured night of navy, textured sahara sand, textured certainly celery, white, sparkling baby frogs dp
Ink: memento black, copics e50, e51, e53, e35, e37, b00, b01, g20, g21, g24, bg78, bg75, (I cant remeber the greens I used for his shirt!)

Fishy pacific summer tango

Forgive my camera...Tangerine tango is not very photogenic!LOL!!

I made this card for todays color challenge that is being hosted by my Mom n5stamper...so I wasnt getting out of this challenge!LOL! The colors for today are summer sun, tangerine tango, and pacific point. The kraft cs just kinda worked itself onto my card. Dont ask how!LOL! I pulled out one of my old favorites from SU fishy friends. I love to color this fish. He always makes me smile!! I even water colored him! No copics!LOL! I used reinkers and a blender pen to color him. Since I was using an old fave set I decided to pull out some old fave embellies. I used eyelets and staples on my card that I never use anymore (and still have a ton of!). Have a great day!!

Hes so cute or in this case maybe she!LOL! I used some MME dp and paired it with AC cs. I kept the embellies limited for the challenge and only used green ric rac and some paper piercing. Wild West Anya

As I was loading this card I realized both of my cards today not only have cowgirls but have a red/blue color combo!LOL! I made this yesterday for Jens sfytt. I had to show it to Mama in person first before I loaded it since I hand stitched on it!LOL! My sewing machine is a little old and after several failed attempts at stitching on the card I paper pierced the panels and just used a needle and thread!LOL! We had an eventful night last night so by the time I got home I was too tired to load it. I do love how this turned out though! And.....take a look at the inside...I even remebered to take a pic!! I love how Amy R stamps her image on the inside of her cards using a light color so I decided to try that on this card. Have a great day!

Follow the list beach scene

Sorry for the last post today. We just got home from a shopping trip to the LSS. I got some new goodies that I cant wait to play with but onto the card... When I saw todays Lsc list I knew Amys guest sketch would be a great layout for the list of required elements. I wanted to do a beach image so I went digging through my stamps and found this adorable High hopes beach scene! I colored it to look like my Bray! This image reminds me of him so much so I had alot of fun making this card! I colored him using copics listed below. I think my fave blue copic is b12 (ice blue) and this Coredinations cs matches it perfectly so I love using it! I paired it with Su kraft and green galore. I stamped the SU itty bitty background onto kraft using creamy caramel ink. For my embellies I used green gingham ribbon and kraft brads (my fave!!). Hope you have a great weekned its gonna be a hot one here!!

Stamps: beach scene, itty bitty backgrounds
Paper: kraft, coredinations blue, green galore

29th St Market Crinkled Flower

Todays wt challenge is crinkled flower. I've seen these on a few blogs lately and decided to try it out. My first attempt I tore the circles and I didnt like how that looked so I pulled out my punches and nesties!LOL! I cut the circles then used my cutter kit to distress them then I crinkled them. I like how these turned out much better! I used my oval punches to make leaves and then stamped a swirly from the green thumb PTI set. I also stamped the sentiment from this set onto the celery layer. I used some MME 29th market dp that Im lovin!! I added some celery ribbon and piercing to finish off my card. Im really happy with how this turned out even though when I showed the flower to hubby before I stamped the leaves he told me it looked like a clock!WHAT?!?! I still dont see it!LOL!

sc232 Behind Brayden

I love this image from High hopes and of course I had to get it b/c the name of the stamp is Brayden! They also had a stamped named Shannon on this same release. When the stamps came in the mail I showed it to Brayden and told him it was named Brayden he said I not a donkey!LOL! I colored Brayden over the weekend while we were at the beach. I took my prismacolor pencils and gamsol b/c Ive neglected them since Ive gotten copics. I used todays sketch for my layout. For the sq panels I decided to use a larger prima folded in half. I saw Amy R do this on one of her cards and liked how it looked. I had to make the card a 5 1/4" sq since the image is so large. Ive also been staming the inside of my cards but I always forget to take a pic but I didnt today!

Stamps: Brayden, little behind sentiment
Paper: white, Coredinations, ghostly greetings dp
Ink: versafine onyx
Accessories: prismacolor pencils, gamsol, buttons, primas, twine, paper piercer

Melon berry petals

Todays color challenge is a difficult one for me! One ink color and one layer! So I didnt EXACTLY make a one layer card but my layers are white!LOL!! I used a set that had some serious dust on it!LOL! I dont own alot of bold images since I love to color so much so I didnt have alot to choose from. About the only bold images I own are flower images and since its been awhile since I made a flower card I decided to go for it. Ive seen alot of cards using the brad/button combo and loved how it looked so I used it for my flower center which is the reason I needed another layer so the brad prongs wouldnt show through. I also used my curved rectangle nesties that was enabled by the fabulous Denise. She has made some gorgeous cards using these nesties and of course I had to have them!LOL! Im still trying to decide what type of sentiment to use on this card. I need some sympathy cards and I keep putting it off b/c I struggle with them. I never know what images to use. Do you think this would be a good sympathy card?!?!
We had a good time at the beach but I was ready to come home!! Alana started coughing alot while we were there and she went to the Dr yesterday and she has bronchitis. yayy fun!LOL! We went to Friday Fest while we were there. It was fun! The kids liked looking at all the cars/trucks and listening to the bands lined up on the streets. Have a great day!

To the beach

We are headed to the beach again this weekend. This time we are going to Panama City Beach to visit Dannys dad. I went through my archives and realized I hadnt loaded this card yet. This is one of the cards I made when I didnt have internet. I colored this super adorable RAM image I got from Treehouse Stamps using copics and paired it with some MME dp. I couldnt find anywhere to add embellies so I just left them off. Can you believe it no embellies!LOL! Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Urban Prarie Bee

Have I said how much I love the urban prarie dp?!! Love this stuff!! Ive been wanting to pair this dp with Kim Hughes bees and I thought todays sketch was the time to do it! I also used some bazzil bitty blooms Ive had forever. Im addicted to buttons right now for some reason so I had to add a black button and some twine to the bitty bloom. I colored the bee using copics y13, y15, and y17 then outlined the wings in c1 and added stardust stickles to the wings but it doesnt show up too good in the pic. I also used some thin polka dot ribbon Ive had for awhile that I got at Walmart. The inside is stamped with a Studio G sentiment Just beecause. Have a great day!

Stamps: The birds and the bees, studio g
Paper: urban prarie dp, black, coredinations yellow, white
Ink: memento black, copics y13, y15, y17, c1
