Chocolate Truffle Heaven

I love todays sketch!! What a fun one Rox!! This sketch gave me a chance to pull out these little truffles from H & M stamps Sweetly Stamped set. I colored the truffles with copic markers and then added crystal effects. The dp I used is from MME and I think its called Urban window but Ive already cut off the bottom part with the dp name on it. I only used one embellishment on this card!! I used a self adhesive chocolate pearl from Kaiser available at Treehouse stamps.

Wingin it

How could I NOT use this duck with todays colors ?!!LOL! He always makes me smile! I paired the HH wingin it duck and sentiment with retired SU ghostly greetings dp. I sanded the edges of the dp just b/c I like how it looks!LOL! I used Julees mojo75 for my layout. I added the tag sentiment for the OCC use a tag challenge. I sponged the tag using summer sun and sponged soft sky for the sky on my main image for High hopes sponging challenge. Wheeww!!(wiping brow)!LOL! Alot of challenges in one card that just all fell together!! Love when that happens!

English Afternoon Tea Magnolia style

Hubby and I were chillin out watchin a movie tonight and I looked up and saw it was almost 12 so I decided to pop in SCS and see who the FS is today!! yayy Jami!! Congrats!! I cased Jami's card here. I changed the colors/dp and stamps but I kept the layout. I changed the circle to a square and moved the image to the opposite side.

Remember yesterday when I said I was trying to step out of my norm?!!? Well this is totally out of my norm!LOL! Magnolias are the cutest stamps but totally intimidate me b/c I thought they would be hard to color and I dont have the landscaping/scene gene!LOL! I have to say I loved coloring this image!!! I got the image from a friend and I think shes called Picnic Tilda. Oh and I totally have Guns N Roses Mr Brownstone stuck in my head tonight!! As I was coloring the images I realized I only have one copic gray marker so I looked through trying to figure out what colors to use for the stone walkway and archway. I forgot choc chip is in the dp so I pulled it out and wondered how it would look you see where Im going here?!!? Have a great day!!

Hoppy Kisses

My Moms always calling me when shes not happy with a card telling me to make her like it. So its your turn now Mama! Make me like this!LOL! Im still not sure about it. Ive been trying to step out of my norm so I wanted to make a card with some white space. Im always in awe of Silkes card and how striking her designs are! I dont think I captured Silkes style here!LOL!

Danny and I went to see a late movie tonight so when I we got in I thought I'd check the IC and see if it was up. While browsing through the Flutter gallery I found this pillow and had to stamp!LOL! Its an obsession I tell ya!!LOL! I used Treehouse stamps hoppy kisses b/c its the first thing I thought of when I saw the frog. I used the colors on the frog for my color combo. I loved Amys sketch and thought it would be great for some white space.

P.S. About the movie...I lost (dont ask!!) so I had to go see Friday the 13th! I couldnt sleep now if I wanted to!!LOL!! Have a great weekend!

Bittersweet Reading

I dont know what it is about Basic grey dp and Whiff of Joy images but its like they were made for each other!!LOL! I just love pairing them up! I used bittersweet dp and Melinda reading from the Guardian angel collection available now at Treehouse stamps. I used Katharina's sketch for my layout and realized when I was loading my card I left off the ribbon panel! Oops!LOL! I also used a bridal flower for the circle panel instead of a sentiment since I wasnt sure what sentiment I wanted to use yet. I added some sand brads available at Pink Hedgehog Papercrafts for my embellies.

I got in some more copics today and started playing around with them. I think everytime I get some in I realize how many more colors I need!LOL! Im still trying to find my groove with these things!! Have a great night!!

Designer Green Blessings

For my card today I used a new set from Treehouse stamps Count your blessings. A great set with scriptures and 2 crosses. I paired it with raspberry tart dp for todays designer green challenge. I stamped the cross in kiwi kiss and stamped the Faith sentiment over it with rose red. For my embellishments I used some ribbon from Michaels and dew drops. On the inside I stamped a verse and a corner flourish from the set.

Well we're off to the vet to take the dogs to get their booster shots! Have a great day!!

Seeing Double Stripes

Since todays challenge was stripes I had to make two cards!! I used H & M images for both of my cards. I pulled out my fave (for right now!LOL!) striped dp. I think its called Front Porch by MME. I paired the dp with Old English and colored the house using ink pads/reinkers and blender pens. I also used some Core'dinations cs on this card and sanded the edges (I love how this looks!!) For my second card I wanted to make a simple masculine card so I pulled out the flannel plaid background and paired it with Natures Style. The buttons on the card are closer to the kraft color than it shows in the pic.

Have a great night! We have a basketball game tonight only 2 more to go!! Woo-Hoo!! They are doing sign ups for Soccer but we told the kids NO!LOL! We need a break!! Seriously though the kids have had a blast playing and cheering but they have so many tests, etc coming up in Spring and practice is on Tues night and games on Thurs nights we just needed a break since we did football and then now basketball. I like being home SOME nights!LOL!

Beep! Beep!

When I first saw todays sketch I thought uckkk!!LOL!! I just got in these super cute Spotx Botz availabe at Treehouse stamps so I couldnt wait to pair them with the retired SU Jersey shore dp. I colored the robot using gamsol magic and outlined using cool gray no.1 copic marker. I stamped the cluster stamp with the nuts and bolts tone on tone onto the pumpkin pie layer and then stamped the Beep!Beep! sentiment using versafine onyx above the circles. Even though I didnt like the sketch when I first looked at it the more I look at my card the more I like it!LOL! Brayden has a friend in his class that has a bday next week so I think I will give him this card to give to his friend. I think these robots make the best boy cards!!

I have to tell you Im so excited! Im typing this to you from my NEW computer!! yayyy!! FINALLY!!LOL!! I love it!! Mama and Jessie came over last night and we went to supper and to find me a new computer/stamp desk. It should be here on Thursday and I cant wait!! While they were here they got to meet our new family memebers. Our babies Tanner, Bailey, and Marley. We got them about a month ago and they are growing fast!LOL! They are lab mix and just the sweetest things!! And yes if you've seen the movie Marley and me or read the book my little girl had to name hers Marley!LOL! TSMFL!! Have a great day!

Rock and Rolled Kisses

Is 2009 over yet?!?! SERIOUSLY (said in my best Meredith Gray voice!) this has not been a great year for me so far!LOL! We had to cancel our trip to FL b/c Madison got sick Thursday night. We spent Saturday Alanas bday in the ER b/c Madison had strep and scarlet fever. Thank goodness they were out of school Friday and Monday!! I have not had time to even think about stamping until late last night!LOL! The kids are all well and back in school today and I finally got to stamp!!

I used todays color challenge and inked up this swirly butterfly from Treehouse stamps. The butterfly and sentiment are from a new set called Butterfly kisses. I rock and rolled the butterfly in kiwi kiss, more mustard, and then rose red at the very edges. Ive not used this technique in a long time and love how it looks on this butterfly!! I started out using Mercys sketch but my butterfly is too large so I had to go with plan B!LOL!!

Angel on duty

I have more sneak peeks coming I promise!! I got called into work yesterday and I was already scheduled to work today so I will be posting another sneak peek this afternoon after school. I made this card for the color challenge on Tues. I still had papers out on my desk and I need to make an angel card for one of my friends. I pulled out this sweet angel image from Treehouse. I love the sentiments in this set!! Hey...didnt I just say that yesterday!?!LOL! Ashley does a great job w/the sentiments in her sets!! I colored the angel using gamsol magic and added stickles to her wings. The yummy pink satin ribbon is also available at TH and its a perfect match for pink pirouette! I added a rhinestone brad to secure the ribbon. I took a pic of the inside of the card and accidentaly deleted it!!LOL! Oopss! So I just tell you the inside has the sentiment "I'm sending you prayers on angel wings" with the same design as the front carried over. Have a great day!!

Bittersweet Blessings

Woo! Hoo! I have some new goodies from Treehouse and that means a little sneaky peek!! I love this beautiful new set called Count your blessings. It has 2 crosses and several beautiful verses. I used the swirly cross for my card today. I also paired it with Basic gray bittersweet dp TH is now carrying. I have to say Ive been worried about using this set just b/c its not my usual style but I love how my card turned out!! Maybe oogling over Lauries and Amys cards have paid off!!LOL!! I added some primas and Kaiser chocolate pearl (available at TH) for my embellishment and paper piercing along the bottom of the card. I sponged all the dp edges with sahara sand ink (Thanks Laurie!!)

Girly sfytt

When I saw the colors in todays challenge I thought GIRLY! So I pulled out this Livin the girls life set from H & M stamps. I used Jens sfytt for the layout. This little girl reminds me so much of my oldest daughter. She says she wants to be an artist. She loves sitting down with me and stampin up!LOL!! I still cant believe she will be 8 yrs old this Valentines day. Boy does time fly!!LOL!

I think I forgot to mention on here but Im so very proud of her!! She won the writing fair for her school. Her paper is now going to county. She is so excited b/c they took her pic and are going to put her paper and pic up in the mall. It was so funny b/c the day after we found out she won the writing fair her and another little girl were on the news where their school went to see an iced over farm down the road from the school. I have some cool pics the school sent me that I will post later.

Granny is home and well!! Yayyy!! Unfortunately I cant go see her b/c Ive still got this cold and she told me to stay away!LOL!! The kids were so excited to see her pull in her drive they darted out the door. Now that everything is fine I can tell you how very scared we were that we were going to lose her! It was a very stressful month and Im glad its over!! Have a great day!!

Polka dot Annabella

Yes I went crazy with the polka dots today. Maybe its b/c I have a head cold and being seeing spots all day!LOL!!

I colored this sweet Annabella image using copic markers and Im still trying to get the hang of blending and shading with them. The colors turned out more fallish than I wanted but I still think shes cute! I used High hopes sketch challenge for my layout. Sorry for the quickie post but my head is throbbing!! Giddy Up Outlaw

Congrats to Karen todays featured stamper! I love this challenge b/c I find new galleries! I cased this card of Karens. I really liked the layout so I kept it but I changed the piercing and pierced around the strip. I used this super adorable sugar nellie image my friend Lori (mwah!) sent me! Isnt she the cutest?!!? I distressed the image and sponged with river rock ink. I added a star embellie instead of the ribbon and clip Karen used. I also left off the side tab embellishment. I added two brads to the bottom of the card instead of a sentiment. I stamped the howdy sentiment from Cowboy kid on the inside. I also added in some extra layers. I kept some of her colors b/c when I saw her card I thought about this outlaw dp Ive only used once! I think this turned out so cute and she was so fun to color! Hey look I even remembered to take a pic of the inside of the card! Im on a roll I tell ya! A challenged card posted and a pic of the inside! woo hoo for me!!LOL! For all you Nascar fans out there...last nights race was unbelievable!! Go KEVIN!!LOL! I LMBO when Darrell said Kevin went through those cards like a hot dog slipping out of a bun!LOL! Hunkydory OCC Love

Im having fun with this super cute set by Kim Hughes. I used the Love sentiment and heart image to make my dp which is something I havent done in a LONG time! I added some dots to the paper using SU tempting turquiose marker to fill in some of the white spaces in my dp. I pulled the colors from the ribbon and colored the images and my dp using gamsol magic. I added some highlights to the birds using my white gel pen. I used SU circle punches and circle nesties to cut out my images.

Im so behind on the OCC challenges that today I combined 3 along with todays inspiration challenge. For my OCC challenges I used my ribbon for todays embellishment challenge, last weeks crazy for hearts challenge, and this sketch. I was inspired by this candy striped lampshade b/c it reminded me of the paradise punch striped ribbon from doodlebug designs.

Have a great weekend! My plans for this weekend are to stamp away!!LOL! We are going out of town next weekend so Im going to try to pack all the stamping I can into this weekend.

Charmed Bees Pile-up

I got some new goodies!! Yayy!! I love this set from Kim Hughes! I saw a card Lori made when she was FS using the hexagon tile background paired with this set. Its looks like a honeycomb! Love it! I stamped the background onto more mustard and summer sun inked in more mustard. I used Jens sfytt for my layout. I used an acrylic button, gingham ribbon, and a charm I made using polyshrink and the heart image from this set for my embellishment pile-up. I wanted a colored button and dug all in my stash and came up with nada so acrylic it was!LOL! I colored the images using copic and prismacolor markers then I added diamond stickles to the hive and stardust stickles to the bee wings. Im so behind on my Valentines so I plan to try to work on those today! Have a great day!!

Raspberry Tart stems

I held off on this raspberry tart dp for awhile mainly b/c I usually dont make alot of flower cards and find it hard to use flower dp for some reason! Im a striped or polka dot kinda girl. When I saw the sweet stems paired with this dp I had to have them both!!LOL! Todays sketch was the perfect time for me to pull them out and use them. Dontcha just love it when that happens!??! Ive been missing seeing everyones beautiful creations and commenting! I plan to plant my behind in my computer chair today and catch up on everything Ive missed! My life has been getting in the way of my stamping time!LOL! I do have a couple of cards I finished over the weekend I just havent had time to take pics or post them. I hope to get them posted some time today!

Quick update on everyone...We are down to one still in the hospital and its Granny. She is scheduled for another CT scan on Friday so still no word on when shes going to get to come home. Have a great day!
