A child is born

Ive missed stamping!!! I was so happy to sit back at my stamp table this afternoon even though it took me 2 hrs to get this card made. If I dont stamp everyday it takes me awhile to get back into my groove KWIM!?!?
I made this card for todays sketch challenge although I dont think I followed the sketch completely (shhh! Dont tell the challenge police!LOL!) I used H & M's A child is born. I love this set and I cant wait to play more with it! I colored the image with prismacolor pencils and blended w/gamsol. I also went over the straw with my gold sakura pen so it sparkles a little. The saffron layer is wheeled with the jumbo stars wheel tone on tone. I thought the wheel went perfect with the sentiment! I also pulled out some gold embellishments for this card. I rarely use gold Im more of a silver girl myself but I think gold goes better on this card.

Okay now onto the fun stuff.....The blog candy winner is......Lucky #13!! Carla (cmsuto)!! I totally know what you mean. I'm not a fast stamper at all. But it's about the creative process right?

This is beautifully colored Shannon, and well worth the time you put into it!

AND I tagged you girl, come play if you can! :)
