Quilted Cowgirl

Todays inspiration is from a quilt at Garnet Hill. The first thing that jumped out at me was the pattern that reminded me of the cowgirl paper by Crate. This weeks sketch challenge was perfect since the inspiration was a quilt. I started with my main image. Ive only used this MFT Ride em cowgirl set a few times and I couldnt use cowgirl dp without a cowgirl!LOL! I paper pieced the dress and used prismacolor marker to color the scallops on the dress. I stamped the image 2 more times and colored the hand on one and the rope on the other and cut them both out. I put the rope onto my paper pieced dress first then the hand. I colored her boots with Y11 Pale yellow, prismacolor crimson red, and E33 sand. For the ground I used the E33 sand again and for the sky BG10 Cool shadow. For my squares I used 2 patterns from the cowgirl line, soft sky prints, and real red prints. I matted each 1 3/8" sq onto close to cocoa textured cs ( 1 1/2") and layered onto barely banana cs. I added faux stitching to the middle panel of squares. I stamped the sentiment Howdy on twill ribbon using timber brown stazon and added a red dot with the prismacolor marker and attached to the middle of my card. It was at this point I had my card leaning against my little trash bucket I keep in front of me that my card fell onto the pad! AARRRGGHH! I matted the main image onto the polka dot dp and textured close to cocoa and added dimensionals. After I assembled the card I realized it needed something else and I wanted to try to cover up the place where the card fell on the ink pad the main image thankfully covered most of it! So I pulled out my stash of buttons and played around with them I finally ended up putting them on the four corners.

Have a great day!

Ladybug Playground

Sorry no post yesterday I was having computer issues! This is the card I made for yesterdays limited supply challenge. Our challenge was to use brads on your stamped image and use brads as your only embellishement so ignore the ribbon on my card!LOL! I need to make sure next time I read ALL the restrictions!
I pulled out my Inky Antics ladybug cottage for this challenge. I colored the image with primsacolor pencils and added black brads to the spots on the top of the mushroom. My sentiment is from Verve Visual. After making this card I realized it would go cute with the ladybug playground I bought Madison. They are really cute and only cost $3 at Walmart(toy section) and they have a ladybug coloring book for $0.99. A great little gift set for a little ladybug lover!
Recipe:
Stamps: ladybug cottage, polka dot background, verve visual sentiment
Paper: wild wasabi, black, yo yo yellow, pti white, real red
Ink: pallette noir
Other: black brads, prismacolor pencils, gamsol, ribbon
Have a great day!

Groovy Plum Mojo Bird

Todays ways to use it challenge wt172 is to use birds on your card. Birds have been really hot in the stampin world this year! I love this bird from Spring Solitude its my fave hostess set from the S&S catalog. Its a level 2 hostess set and will be retiring soon so get it while you can!

For my card today I started with Julees Mojo43 for my layout. I started with the main image layers . I inked up the tree branch with close to cocoa marker. I used the wasabi reinker and a fantastix to make a temporary marker to ink up the leaves. I stamped the bird in perfect plum. I dont have the oval nesties yet so I had to leave off the scallops and use my fiskars oval cutter. The bird image is 2 x 2 1/2" and the wsabi mat is 2 1/4 x 3". The close to cocoa layer is 2 1/2 x 3 1/4 and I attached the oval layer to it. I knew I wanted to do something to the corners but decided to wait until I got the rest of the card made to see what I was going to do. I cut a 4 x 51/4" piece of perfect plum and a 3 x 4 piece of groovy guava. I stamped the wheel onto guava using tone on tone and attached it to the bottom of my plum layer. I then cut my textured cocoa card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I put all the layer together to see what else I needed to add to my card. The plum looked kinda blah so I pierced it and added faux stitching with my plum marker. I wanted to do something to add more wasabi and guava so I pulled out my ribbons and decided to use the wasabi ds ribbon. I wanted to add a flower so I went digging through my very small stash of primas. I found a pretty close match to guava in a set of MM primas and brads I got at HL and because the flower is so small it fit perfectly over the leaves. My corners still needed something so I added piercing to 2 corners of the cocoa layer and used my cocoa marker for the faux stitching. I attached the main image layers with dimensionals. Now the only thing I had left to do was add the sentiment. which is usually the hardest thing for me!LOL! I have a very limited supply of senitments. I always want to get cute images instead of sentiments! The first sentiment I tried was a verve visual sentiment you brighten my day that fits the ww punch. I stamped it onto textured wasabi tone on tone. I put it on my card to see what it looked like before I attached it. I didnt really like the way it looked and then I thought about my oval punch since my main image was an oval. I had found that some of the verve sentiments fit the oval also. Not the one I had though!LOL! So it was back to searching for a sentiment. I pulled out the Pti faux ribbon set its always what I grab when I need a small font sentiment. I decided on the many thanks so my card went from a you brighten my day card to a thank you card!LOL! I attached the oval sentiment to the card and then I remebered HH!! I always forget to use it! When the stylized silver HH tin came out I HAD to have it. I love all things silver! Well today is the first time Ive used it. Isnt that why we buy stuff and hoard it so that when youre making a card and you think it needs just one more thing your precious stash comes to the resuce and now you've used it at least once so can buy some more!LOL!

Have a great day!

Canvas Bags

Ive been saying for the past couple of days I was going to post the kids creation. I bought a pack of 3 canvas bags at Walmart in the craft section for $6. I thought these would be great for their library books. The library gave them a plastic bag and it lasted about 2 weeks!LOL! So of course we had to dress the bags up! For Alanas bag she wanted Doodle this and a doodle alphabet ( I think I got it at HL). I let her do the stamping and coloring and I added the tulip puffy paint to the dots in the flowers. She added rhinestones to some of the flower centers. Madisons bag is stamped with Silly Sealife, Fishy Friends, and Itty bitty backgrounds. I stamped most of Madisons bag and let her do all the coloring. Then I added blue tulip paint to the bubbles. Madisons name is stamped with Karen Foster alphabet. Braydens bag is stamped with his favorite image the rocket from pun fun. I stamped his bag and we colored the rockets together. His name is also stamped with the Karen Foster alphabet. As soon as they finished the bags they wanted me to take pics of them and put them on the computer!LOL!
I havent posted a pic of the kids lately so I thought Id add a pic of them today too. This pic was taken last month at VBS with their friends Keegan and Kaleb. Kaleb in the front then Brayden behind Brayden is Keegan then Madison and Alana with her head poking in!LOL! This pic was taken on the night of their program and they were sooo cute! Remeber you can click on the pic for larger views. Have a great night!

Froggie and friends

I almost forgot to post on my blog today!LOL! Ooops! I made this card today for the sketch challenge and posted it on SCS. I had to run to a local farm to pick up some bushels of peas and while the peas were blanching my intentions were to post on my blog....then I started commenting on SCS and frogot!

Okay! Here we go!LOL! Madison is on a frog kick lately since she found a pet frog those of you who read my blog probably remeber the story about Madison finding the frog if not you can read the story on this post unfrogettable smile. The kids are in the Catch the reading bug program and Madison has been reading alot of the Froggy books by Jonathan London. As most of you know little froggy here is retiring (boo!hoo!) so I made this card for Madison. I kinda jumped around alot when making this card. I started by stamping the images onto pti white. I stamped each image 3 times. I punched them out with the 1 1/4" sq punch. I colored the images using prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. I added an outline to the bottom of each of the images using copic cool gray no.1 marker. Then I colored my main image and outlined with the copic marker. I punched an apricot appeal mat for each image using the 1 3/8" sq punch. I used my grid paper to figure out what size to make my card. I used the lines on the grid paper to figure out my spacing, etc for my squares. With my 3 sqs across and down I needed at least a 5" card base. I used cool carribean for my 5" sq panel and layered my images. I added my cool carribean layer to a textured wild wasabi 5 1/4" sq card base. I matted my main image onto textured wasabi and punched a hole in the lower left side for my ribbon. For some reason it didnt look right to me so I added a guava layer also and that looked better. To finish off my card I had to add some sparkle! I used diamond stickles and added them to the frogs eyes, the wings of the dragonfly, the circles on the mushrooms, and the snails body.

I will be back later today to share what the kids made other day. For now Im off to bag up peas!LOL! Have a great day!

Wild Teal Birdday

I have a triple card for you today since Ive havent posted in a few days. Sorry Ive been absent we have been spending some quality time together. No stamping, computer, etc. Its been nice. We have been spending days in the pool and nights playing our Wii. We have been having a blast. I love stamping and I love SCS but I spend too much time sometimes doing both so I decided to give it a break for a few days. Ive missed stamping so me and the kids made a project I will share with you later.

For todays card I used the colors in todays color challenge and for my layout I used Jens sfytt. The OCC girls post their challenge on Sat so I decided to pop over there and see what it was. Their challenge was to use at least 1 brad and 1 button on your card. Well that went great w/Jens sketch and I have so many colored brads I never use so I added in the OCCC. I love the pun fun set. I just cant stop using it!LOL! I colored the bird with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. I added an outline with copic cool gray no.1 marker. The button was hard to add into my card so I decided to just add it to the corner of my image. I used wasabi prints under the button and glue dots which I would not recommend since you can see them. Next time I will use vellum tape or sticky strip and maybe they wont show through.

Recipe:
Stamps: Pun fun
Paper: Taken w/teal, wild wasabi, pti white, wasabi prints
Ink: Pallette noir
Other: 1/4" circle punch, wasabi ds ribbon, prismacolor pencils, gamsol, dimensionals, nestabilities, clear button, MM brads

Bold Bright Sunshine

I made this card for todays sketch challenge Sc181. I love the sketch!!

When the retirement list was posted I of course pulled out all my sets that will be retiring to use over the next month. Time well spent is one I have barely used. I think the problem is the few cards Ive made with this set have not been my faves. I am happy with my card today though!LOL! For my main image I stamped the large flower on pti white w/pallette noir and colored with prismacolor pencils. I then added an outline to the flower using copic cool gray No.1. For the pink passion panel I stamped the smallest flower image randomly and used the white gel pen to color in the middle of the flower. I added the ribbon that inspired my colors to the left side of the card. I still thought the card needed something so I went in search for a sentiment b/c the sentiments that come with the set were too large. I came across the MFT sentiment Sending you sunshine and thought it fit the card b/c of the bright colors. I stamped the sentiment but when I did the end of the g and y didnt stamp as well b/c I already had my knot! Oops! So I went over them w/a SU marker. I added a line under the sentiment with the SU summer sun marker and used the mat pack to line up my 3 rhinestones. I attached the main image panel to the green galore card base stamped with polka dot background. After I attached the layers I added stickles to the flower. Ive learned the hard way to always add my stickles LAST!LOL!

For those of you who asked for a step by step process HTH! Have a great day!

Kraft Seashore skies

When I saw todays color challenge I wasnt thrilled. I tried to go a different way but the colors just kept coming back to beach. So I looked through my beach images and saw the MFT By the seashore set I had just used...I saw the bird image in it and this card was born.

Since I was using a MFT image I decided to pop over to the MFT forum and see what Cindy cooked up for a sketch challenge yesterday. I used MFTsc35 for my layout. My main image is stamped with the waves and birds from By the Seashore and popped up on dimensionals. The bird was cut out and popped up on the wave layer. I used the shells from the set to make my seashell "dp"and added dimensionals. I also used soft sky prints and soft sky ds ribbon. This card will go to my bestest friend Dusty who lives in FL. I talk to her all the time but its been awhile since she came home to visit and talking is just not the same as a girls night out!LOL! Have a great day!

By the Seashore

I made this card yesterday for the featured stamper. Denidill was the featured stamper. I changed just about everything on her card except the layout. I like her colors so I used similar colors. Im still playing with the few copics I have so I decided to use them. For my card I used prismacolor markers and copic markers.

I really liked the colors of my card. They remind me of bedding and pictures you see in beach hotels!LOL! The idea I had for my card was to use the layers as backgrounds. The top layer is soft sky stamped tone on tone with the waves from the MFT set. After my card was uploaded I realized I goofed and layered it upside down!LOL! Well just think of them as clouds instead of waves! The bottom portion is kraft stamped with itty bitty backgrounds in chocolate chip for sand. I added soft sky ds ribbon and kraft taffeta ribbon using Hollys easy peasy ribbon tutorial.

For my main image I stamped the image using pallette noir ink. I colored her shirt in spring green prismacolor marker and her pants and hat with BG10 Cool Shadow. For the skin tones I used E00 Skin white. I didnt know what to do to color the dog so I used Y17 Golden yellow and the colorless blender. I touched the blender pen to the marker to pull the color so it wasnt as dark. I outlined the image with C1 Cool Gray No.1. I wasnt as pleased with my coloring on this image as my first guess I had beginners luck!LOL!

BTW if you get a chance stop by my friend Denise's blog and congratulate her on getting DIRTY! Yayy Denise! She is an awesome stamper and definetly deserves to get dirty!LOL!

Lighthouse OCCC

Quick post for today. Im trying to finish up the last of my Fathers Day cards today while Danny's at work.

My card today uses the OCCC sketch. Amy posted a card on her gallery the other day called Dream Thyme. She used river rock, true thyme and ruby red color combo. I loved it! The main thing I liked was how great the river rock and true thyme looked together. River rock is my least fave of the In colors but I love how it looks w/true thyme. I have 2 unopened packs of true thyme from stocking up last year!LOL! I finally opened one of the packs this morning.

I used my new Su set A light unto my path. I love this lighthouse image! The sentiment I used is from HM stamps Dads Outdoors. I dont know if Im thrilled w/this card or not. Something seems off to me like its not balanced but I decided to just leave it alone before I messed the card up by adding stuff to it!LOL!

Recipe:

Stamps: A light unto my path, Dads Outdoors

Paper: textured river rock, true thyme, vanilla, kraft

Ink: true thyme, artichoke SU marker

Other: Ribbon from Joanns, Brads, paper piercer, dimensionals

Lsc172 Knotty Cabin

Sorry I havent posted the past couple of days. I think I mentioned that my exclamation point was worn out. Well the next day none of my symbols or numbers worked so I couldnt sign in to my blog. Uggghhh! So you know how you go to town and come back w/everything except what you went to town for? Well guess what I forgot?! Yep a keyboard. LOL!

I made this card for todays Lsc172 and Beates wsc52. I need Fathers day card since I havent even started on them. Masculine cards are not my fave to make so I tend to put them off until the last minute. I LOVE how my card turned out today. Theres alot of dimension on my card since it will be hand delivered. Its very heavy and I had a hard time taking a pic of it b/c it doesnt want to stand up.LOL! Okay onto the deets. I started w/ a garden green card base stamped tone on tone w/canvas background. My next layer is choc chip layered w/close to cocoa strips stamped w/a wood grain background I got at Michaels a couple of years ago. I also sponged all the edges of the strips w/choc chip ink and used my choc chip marker to put a dot to look like nails. The ruby red layer is stamped w/weathered background inked in choc chip and all edges are sponged. I also popped this layer up on dimensionals. For my main image I stamped the cabin from H & M stamps onto Pti white w/timber brown stazon. I colored the image using prismacolor pencils and blended w/gamsol. I wanted to do something so I wasnt left with all the white background so I decided to give the Zindorf brayered scenes a try. I used my Versamarker and covered my image w/clear detail ep. This is the first time Ive ever used it and Ive have it for over a year. I was shocked it worked!LOL! Next I used post it notes to cover the top portion of my image and brayered wild wasabi ink for the grass. I used the garden green marker to make some grass. For the sky I used post it notes and covered the grass. I brayered soft sky and then cool carribbean. The edges are sponged w/garden green and cool carribbean. I layered the main image onto garden green and added stacked two dimensionals to pop it up. The Dads cabin sign is also popped up on the image. Since this was a masculine card I thought twill ribbon was the best way to go. I stamped the sentiment from the set onto twill ribbon and I think it was the perfect embellishment for my card.

Have a great weekend!

Real Regal Punny Farm

Todays color challenge is real red, regal rose, and so saffron. At first I thought ackkk..but as I was pulling out the colors I got inspired. Yayyy. Love when that happens. LOL. I knew I wanted to use a MFT set with the Mftsc34. Ive neglected my MFT images lately so I wanted to give them so love.

My card base is real red stamped tone on tone w/the weathered background. The saffron layer is also stamped tone on tone w/ the chicken wire background. I used primsacolor pencils and gamsol to color all the images and used copic marker cool gray no.1 to outline the images. I used Fiskars oval to cut out my ovals. For my embellishments I decided to not use ribbon on my card *gasp*. I used 2 large pewter eyelets and placed a crystal bella bauble in the center. The right side still needed something so I decided to do some faux stitching. This is the point where I wish I would have left it alone. My white gel pen decided to act up this morning. It threw up on my card. LOL! It just came gushing out so if you're wondering I was going for the crossstitch. Other than the white gel pen blobs I love how my card turned out today.

We're off to the library. The kids are in the catch the reading bug program and they have a little show today. I think its a juggler. Last week they had a clown and the kids loved it. Brayden got to help do a trick. He was so cute.

Spring Solitude Suprise Pop Up

Todays technique challenge was to make a suprise pop up card. I like to make them they are just harder to photograph. Ive havent made one in awhile and I just got this Spring Solitude set. LOVE IT! I can believe I waited so long to get it!LOL!

A couple of months ago I was browsing through the CTMH catalog and wrote down a few color combos from their dp. This was one of my faves. My choc chip layer is embossed w/stylized flowers ef. The pink back panel and soft sky pull out tag layer are stamped tone on tone with the flower cluster from the set. I stamped the sentiment from Hugs and wishes onto the pink passion layer w/choc chip ink. For my main image I inked the tree branch w/SU markers in choc chip and certainly celery and stamped on ww. The soft sky bird is getting ready for flight!LOL! Hes not quite on the branch. Next time I will definetly use my stamp-a-mig to make sure the bird is ON the branch! I used my fiskars circle cutter for the pink passion layer and to cut my main image. I used my choc chip marker to make the dots on my celery scallop layer. To finish off my card I added a Bazzill prima and K & Co celery colored bling to my main image. To my tag pull out layer I added a large pewter eyelet and soft sky ds ribbon.

Im very pleased w/how my card turned out today! Yaayyy! Btw I have to get new keyboard I think Ive worn out my exclamation point!LOL! Have a great day!

Fs70 Rooster case

Todays featured stamper is Cindy(YLM). Cindy had a rooster card in her gallery that I HAD to case. Ive had this rubbernecker rooster for awhile but Ive yet to make a card using him.

I wanted to give my prismacolor pencils a break for a couple of days so I pulled out my watercolor crayons. I embossed the image b/c somewhere (I cant remeber where) I read its easier to color the watercolored images if they are embossed. Dont quote me on that though!LOL! I know now why my crayons had a layer of dust on them. I needed the watercolor queen Kittie here for some tips and tricks! I really liked how Cindy added colors to her rooster so I tried to add some red and green to the tail feathers. The keyword is TRIED!LOL! I also added some white gel pen accents and sponging to my image.

The card base is night of navy stamped with flannel plaid tone on tone. I stamped the SU retired chicken wire background inked in close to cocoa onto creamy caramel. The rooster is layered on real red. The two circle tabs are more mustard and garden green. I used a pewter large eyelet on both circles. The layout on my card is Holly's (Toy) sketch thsc16 I did leave off the sentiment panel just b/c I didnt have the room!LOL! I made 3 sketch cards this weekend already! Yaaayyy for me!LOL! Have a great day!

Cherry on top

I made this card today for Taylors cupcake challenge (tecc19). When I saw the sketch I thought it would be perfect for the small images in tart and tangy. Looks like a pretty simple card right?!?!LOL! Not today! It took me over 2 hrs to make this card. I have no idea why! The main prob was the sentiment. I decided to use this sentiment and printed it out on my computer that took 5 times to get right! Im pleased with how my card turned out though. I guess when youre finished with a card thats all that matters right?!!? This card will definetly go to someone special though since I had such a hard time with it!LOL!

I love the summer picinic dps. I didnt like them at first b/c Im not a big fruit/veg image lover. My mom and MIL always tried to buy my kids clothes with watermelon, cherries, etc on them and I hated them. Well this year Madison swimsuit has apples on it. Its so cute! Great colors! I have an inspiration piece in the works so stay tuned for that.

I finally broke down and bought the bashful blue and real red striped grosgrain ribbon after I fell in love with the pumpkin pie striped ribbon. I have no idea what Im going to do w/out my in color double stiched ribbon!LOL! I think Ive used it on just about every card Ive made!LOL!

Okay Im through rambling....like I said the card is pretty simple. I used my SU markers to ink up the cherry and stamped onto PTI white. I still got a few blotchy looking areas so I went over it with my blender pen and smoothed it out. I noticed while my card was loading that when I did that I blended over the white part of the cherry so I went back and added it w/my white gel pen so for now just imagine the little white highlight!LOL! I added an outline to my image using the copic cool gray no. 1 and went over the cherries with crystal effects so they're super shiny!

We're off to the kids VBS program tonight after soaking up the sun today! Have a great day!

Unfrogettable smile

Its getting closer...retirement list! I love this set and hope its not on the retired list. I had to pull him out and give him some love just in case! I also had to make this card today to share a story with you.
Okay we went to my Moms house Friday to eat lunch and swim. We have been studying bugs these past couple of weeks and my kids can now spot a bug a mile away!LOL! So Madison was looking for bugs around Mama's porch and found a baby frog. She got her a cup and filled it to the top with water and pulled up some grass and threw in it. Now all of the above is something Im not aware of yet. After she's put the frog in the cup full of water and grass thhheennn she comes to me and says Mama look what I found can I keep him. I look in the cup and see the frog. Okay! Madison are you trying to drown the frog is all I can say. So I pour out over half the water and tell her yes she can keep it. So after we leave Mamas house we make a quick stop at Walmart to pick up a house for the frog. Its called backyard habitat and we first saw it a week or so ago and I told them when we got to frogs we would get one and watch the frog grow from a tadpole. So we get to the car and the frog is dead. I thought maybe the frog got too hot in the car even though I had let down the windows and the frog was in water. At this point my child is ticked off with me b/c I wouldnt let her take the frog inside Walmart. We get home and show the dead frog in the cup to my hubby who tells Madison she drowned her frog. The jury is still out on that one! Who knows! Okay so fast forward to Saturday afternoon we are getting the pool ready and we have a friend. A rainfrog....here comes Madison. She chased that frog for 15 minutes trying to get it I got so tickled at her until......She gets back around to where I am and tries to catch the frog who then jumps on my leg! I screamed he jumped! Madison caught him! It was so funny. My MIL got a real kick out of it! So now we have a pet rainfrog named Emily who we have managed to not drown yet!LOL!
Okay about the card. I pulled out my unfrogettable set and the sketch drawn out. I knew I wanted to use some dp on the bottom half of the card and went digging through my scraps and found a peice of wintergreen dp. I punched out a piece for my sentiment using the WW punch. The sentiment I used is from Verve Visual. I love the sentiment! It fits for alot of my images. I colored the frog with prismacolor pencils and blended w/gamsol then outlined him with copic marker. I then covered him with crystal effects. I used the fiskars circle cutter to cut out my circle. I added celery ribbon and dew drops for the embellishments. Have a great day!

Real Soft Bayou Love

Todays colors challenge is real red, soft sky, and blue bayou. Essence of love was the first thing that popped in my head since Ive been wanting to use it w/my new Martha stewart butterfly punch. So I went with it. I stamped the main image onto glossy cs inked with versamark and then blue bayou. I heat embossed the image w/clear detail ep. Ive been wanting to play with my brayer lately so I inked up the brayer w/soft sky and I love how it goes on glossy cs like a dream! I never knew that!LOL! I used my brayer a couple of times but hated how it always had a mark on the paper where I brayered. Pam told use to use glossy cs to prevent that line. Love Pam!LOL! Okay anyway back to the card... I brayered on the soft sky and wiped the ink off my embossed image then I sponged the edges w/bayou. I also went and added a few highlights w/my white gel pen. I punched the red butterfly 2x to raise the wings so its 3-d. I used the bayou prints pack and soft sky double stitched grosgrain ribbon under my main image. To finish off my card I added the sentiment and punched w/the ww punch. I also added 3 rhinestones from K & Co. Hope you have a great day!

Featured stamper Sunday

Well its Sunday and you know what that means!! Another featured stamper gallery to browse through and case. Todays featured stamper is Maren (mmbc). I loved the layout on the card I cased I know big surprise right!LOL! I looked back through my fs cards and most of them start out with the layout was the reason I picked the card!LOL!

My cousin just found out she is expecting her first baby so I knew I needed a baby card and as soon as I saw Marens Its a boy card with the awesome layout I knew it would be perfect for my Bella! I colored this Bella Monday and Im finally putting it on a card. The things I changed were :

-the colors: I love this color combo! Very girly! Can you guess what Im wanting the baby to be!LOL!

-ribbons: I used 1/4" grosgrain instead of wide ribbon

-stamps: I used Bella ( I forget the name), polka dot background, and circle of friendship for my sentiment.

-circles: I decided to layer my circles instead of spacing them apart.

-embellies: I used buttons instead of brads and added some stickles to the bears bow, rattle, and Bella's bow on her shirt.

-faux stitching: I added the faux stitching to the polka dot layer

-layer: I matted my main image

-coloring medium: Maren colored her image using copics. I colored mine using prismacolor pencils and blended w/gamsol.

I think thats it! This week was very busy but the kids had a great time at VBS. We also went to catch the reading bug and they had a magic show (Ken Scott) for the kids and it was so cute! They loved it! Have a great day!
