Dont you hate when you load a card you see something like the ribbon that moved on this card?!!LOL!! I made this card for my son so I used the SU jersey shore dp that I love to use for boy cards. I used another adorable image from Dustin Pike. Brayden loves these dragons!! I colored the dragon using copics and outlined him using cool gray no.1. I love outlining the images to make the "pop"! I added some piercing to the corners and wild wasabi ribbon for my embellishments. My son doesnt mind ribbon on a card as long as it doesnt have a big bow!LOL! Well thats all I got for today! Dustin Pike

Im behind on all my baby cards I need so when I saw this super adorable Dustin Pike image I knew I wanted to use it for a boy card. I pulled this star Crate dp I think this is the Cowboy line. I LOVE Crate dp!! I decided to give my copics a break and dust off my primsacolor pencils and use them. Well obviously Ive forgotten how to color with them!!LOL!! I outlined the image using warm gray no.1 copic and cut and embossed the image using circle nesties. I did add a little sparkle to the star but since this is a baby boy card I didnt want alot of embellies. Ive had these buttons forever so I decided to use them. I also added some paper piercing to the orange strip. What do you think?!? Are they too big?! I feel like the card is kinda plain but the buttons seem to stick out like a sore thumb to me!LOL! My Moms ALWAYS fussin at me telling me Im too hard on myself which she will probably say in her comment on this card!LOL! Have a great day!!

Urban Prarie Postbox

Wow has it really been over a week since I posted?!!?! I will not bore you w/all the details of why stamping had to be put on the backburner for the last week so I'll just move onto the card. Todays FS is Kathy aka Wattle. This was a new gallery for me to browse through. While browsing through her wonderful gallery I found this happy mail card to case. I knew I wanted to keep the image and the colors reminded me of the urban prarie dp so I used similar colors. Since it was a sketch card I changed the layout. I wanted to keep the card pretty simple since I havent stamped all week so I just popped up the girl image and added a button. Have a great day!!

Afternoon tea reflection

I love todays simple sketch. I knew it would be great for a Sugar nellie image. My friend Lori sent me this image and its now her fault Im obsessed with Sugar nellie!LOL! Im still working on using some of my retired dp. I have too much of the stuff!LOL! I colored the sugar nellie image using the colors from the afternoon tea dp. I colored this image a couple of weeks ago when we were waiting out storms at my MIL's so I forgot to write down the colors I used! Sorry!! I used Inges dp corners again but I did both corners instead of one and Michelles button. I went a little crazy with the sponging on this one so Im not sure I totally love it plus I have brown fingernails now!LOL!! Have a great day!

Delight in life

The uber talented Christine is hosting the color challenge today and she picked some great colors!! Todays colors challenge is bordering blue, so saffron, and pink pirouette. I love when the color challenge includes a color I rarely use! I love bordering blue but for some reason it sits neglected. After Delight in life fell out of the drawer while I was looking through my stamps trying to find which set I wanted to use I decided to go with it!LOL! I havent used this set in a very long time!! Im not a big fan of flower cards! Dont get me wrong I LOVE looking at everyones elses flower cards but I just dont like MY flower cards!LOL! I have to say Im pretty happy with how this one turned out though. I used Julees mojo82 for my layout. I didnt have room for my sentiment so I stamped it on the inside. I added some piercing and sponging and the button is something I saw on Michelle's blog and wanted to try. Time to go pick up the kiddos from school! Have a great day!

Miss Zoe case

Ive been taking a break from stamping and blogging while the kids have been on spring break but I had to play along in the Fs challenge today. I adore HH stamps and was thrilled to see Inge as todays FS!! Congrats!! I cased her just saying hello card. I got this Miss Zoe image last month and just had to ink her up for todays challenge! I colored her using copics. I "tried" to make some stripes on the kitty-can you see them!?!LOL! I used Taylors sketch for my layout. I love Inges use of different dps but Im not that brave!LOL! I used a dp that was similar to one of her other cards I found while browsing through her gallery but stuck to just one. I do like how she does the dp corners so I used it on my card. Sugar and spice

Okay so since I wasnt lovin my first card today I decided to make another one. I wasnt going to let that strip beat me!LOL! I used circle punches to make a faux embossed panel. I like the strip but the sq panel beat me this time!! Sc-2 Shannon-0!(waving my white flag!!)LOL! I wanted to do a quick card so I pulled out an image already colored. I used a image from Whipper snapper cling mount sets by Shellie called Sugar and spice. Isnt she sweet?!?! Sorry I forgot to write down the copic markers I used on this one! I stamped the border on the raspberry fizz using SU pink passion ink. The buttons are from my stash. Amethyst ribbon is from SU. Have a great day!

Hambo birthday

When I saw todays sketch and the small sq panel I thought about Hambo stamps. Their stamps crack me up and I knew one of their small images would be perfect for the sq panel. I needed a birthday card so I used this rabbit, carrot sentiment, and carrot image. I colored the rabbit and carrot using copics and added cotton candy stickles to his paw, nose and ears. I also added frosted lace stickles to his tummy and tail so hes sparkling all over!LOL! I stamped the carrot image tone on tone on the pumpkin pie layer then stamped part of the sentiment in black. For my embellishments I used coral brads and striped pumpkin pie ribbon. After I finished putting all my layers together the creamy caramel strip seemed to need something so I added some faux stitching and I think the black is too much I prolly shoulda used creamy caramel instead! Next time I'll just leave it alone!LOL!

Today is the last day of school this week so we will be on Easter break until Tuesday. I might have hair left we'll just have to wait and see!LOL! J/K!!

Easter theme Lily

Todays color challenge is so saffron, bashful blue, and close to cocoa. Great colors for spring and just what I needed to get my little girls Easter card made! I pulled out Lily to make her card and colored her using copics. I watched a Laurens Lily video and love how she made Lilys shoes and the sidewalk and grass line so I made a grass line. I paired her with SU prints since Im totally addicted to those!LOL! I used Jens sfytt for my layout. This is also for the Occ Easter challenge. 3 challenges! woo-hoo!LOL! I got a few weekend challenges done this past weekend! I have a few more to share with you that I made over the weekend but its very cold outside today and Im hoping it will warm up a little before I try to take pics!LOL!

Planting some copic love

Okay I know a funny title but hey it gets hard!LOL! For my card today I did a couple of copic challenges. I used the copic colour challenge and the copic creations challenge. The copic colour challenge is to use R22, E47, and B12. Super cute colors together! The copic creations challenge is skin tones. So of course I had to pull out some more Sugar nellies!LOL! This cutie is called planting some love (hence the title!). I used the wsc75 that is hosted by Mary Jo this week. I keep forgetting about the wsc! Okay so I love the layout but I did have kinda a hard time with it! I just really wanted to use this image so I had to make it work!LOL! I popped the kitty up on dimensionals for one of the circle in the layout and colored a bridal flower with my copic marker for the other circle. I used wide choc chip ribbon and the new SU corduroy brads-love them!! SO yummy!! The sentiment is also from SU but I cant remember which set (its one I borrowed from Mama) and I added some piercing below the sentiment. Well thats about it for today! Only 2 more days left of school this week before Easter break.

It increases your face value!I love that line from Dolly Parton in Steel Magnolias!LOL! I made this card for todays featured stamper challenge. I cased Julies card here. I loved the colors and the wave is gorgeous. I dont have a wave like hers but I do have this adorable Kim Hughes set Ocean Friends from CHF. I love the wave in this set! I used Amys sketch 56 for my layout. Ive been wanting to try Rileys color dare and this week the colors are kiwi kiss, tangerine tango, and taken w/teal so I added in kiwi kiss and left off the black mats. I embossed the teal layer with swirls ef. I stamped the bubbles from the set on the kiwi kiss layer tone on tone and the smile sentiment with memento black. The main image is colored with copics and sponged with soft sky and taken with teal. I popped the jellyfish up and added some white gel pen highlights to her eyes. I added the tangerine tango ribbon and dew drops for my embellishments.

Im not sure I love this card but I think it would cheer someone up! Have a great day!!

Boy oh boy

Two posts today! yayy!LOL! I went ahead and posted my second card from Wed sketch challenge since SCS was down most of today and I wasnt sure if I was going to get to play. I did get play along with the LSC challenge today though. I needed a card for a friend who is having a boy. I know this isnt a baby image but hes just so cute that I thought he'd work! Todays lsc challenge is to use only one cs color and neutrals, 2 patterned papers, and 3 embellishments. I actually followed the rules today!LOL! I used Taylors sketch 62 for my layout. Its been awhile since Ive made a square card so I kept the sq layout. I used

some SAB goodies today too. The delicate dots dp and the celery ribbon (love this stuff!) are from the SAB.

Scattering Occ Love

Okay Im totally addicted to Sugar Nellie!!LOL! I love coloring their images! I made this card for this weeks OCC color challenge to use more mustard, bashful blue, and not quite navy. After seeing Silkes Occ card using the prints for this color challenge I pulled out my prints pack b/c I totally forgot that nqn print was in it!LOL! So when I pulled it out I found the mustard print too! Yippee! Perfect for SCS sketch so I made another card using it. This time I flipped the layout. I sanded the edges of the prints and matted on cs. I overlapped the nqn layer. After I took my pic I realized the prints are going in different directions!LOL! I colored this adorable Scattering love image using copics. I added the grass line also. I sponged the top edges using bashful blue for a little sky and popped the image up on dimensionals. For my embellies I added some bashful blue brads and mustard ribbon.

Well yesterdays weather wasnt as bad as they were predicting thank goodness!! Still alot of rain and flooding but not the tornadoes they were predicting! Schools are closed today and the sun is shining so my kids are happy!LOL! Have a great day!

Nutty sketch

Look no SU cs or dp! Im really trying to work on using some of my non SU dp! I have a ton of it and it just sits there looking so pretty!LOL! When I saw todays sketch I knew it would be a good time to pull some of it out. I really like today sketch so much so that it took me forever to make a card b/c I had so many different ideas of what I wanted to do!LOL! For this card I kept it simple. I pulled out an uninked whipper snapper image. Hes so cute to me!! I paired the image with some dp Mama gave me. Its from one of the slabs of dp at Michaels. I love that she loves stamping as much as I do! We share alot of stuff which means we can get more stuff!LOL!

My kids went to school this morning so mad!! All of the surrounding counties cancelled school today due to roads closed b/c of flooding but not Tift county! Brayden said all the way to school No fair! I wanna live in Moultrie so I dont have to go to school today!LOL! I think we only got 3" of rain yesterday which was much better than the 6-10 they were prediciting late yesterday afternoon. There were several tornados spotted but I think only one touched down in the town b/w me and Mama. Tommorrow we get to do it all over again!LOL! Have a great day!
