Green At Heart Angel

Yesterday was an exciting day! We had a pool party for our birthday babies! I have 2 with a bday in July and Aug and my step sis has a little one who turns 1 today. So we had a big Toy Story 3 bday bash at my Moms yesterday. Yesterday was also the first challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz. The DT is divided into 2 teams and team A had the first challenge and its pastels. So pull out your pastels and Kenny K images and play along here and check out team A's gorgeous creations! Next Sunday team B (that Im on) will bring you another fun challenge.

Okay enough blah blah!LOL!! Onto the card..I got some goodies in the mail this week that included BG Green at heart dp. Ohhlala!! Love the colors in this! I had this KK uptown angel image waiting to be colored up so I grabbed her and colored her with copics. I tried a new (for me) skin tone on this one. I used r00, e21, and e95. I used e93 for blush. Her hair is colored using e13, e15, e17, e19. I was going for a khaki for her pants so I used e30, e31, and e33. For her shirt and shoes I used yr12, yr15, and yr18. I also added some orange peel stickles to her earrings and some clear glaze to her eyes, lips, teeth, and belt. I sponged memeto canteloupe ink around the nestie. I used Friday sketchers for my layout. A fun sketch but I had to try REALLY hard not to add a bow to that dusty durango polka dot ribbon!LOL! It really did look better without it though! I added some kraft brads and colored a paper daisy using yr18 and added a button and some pti twine. Well thats it for me today! Have a great one!!

Ya Old Buzzard

This weeks FS is Stephanie and since my Mom is hosting this week she asked me to make a sample. As I browsing through Stephanie's great gallery I came across this buzzardcard. My Dad's bday is this month and since I love picking on him about him being over 50 now I knew this image and sentiment were perfect! I even had the dp Stephanie used! I changed the layout and left off the stitching. Instead I distressed and sponged the edges and added the library clip and mini brads. Image is colored using copics and of course I didnt write them down (again!). The copic creations challenge is birds so Im entering this card. Buzzards count as birds right?!LOL! I wanted to thank everyone for all their sweet comments about my crappy week!LOL!! After alot of searching I was able to find everything on my computer except my archive of edited cards waiting to be shared so thankfully I still have all of them and can just take another pic. Thats it for me today! I have a quiet house and Im taking advantage!LOL!!

Trevor Shell-o

Man what a week I'm having!! Seriously!! I have had a horrific earache/toothache for 3 days and today I finally felt better so I got on here to post a card I made over the weekend and I wiped out ALL of my pics/digis...EVERYTHING from my windows photo gallery. I finally found it and tried to restore it and still....nada!! So needless to say this will be another quickie post....or something else might go wrong!LOL!! I made this card for this weeks Sketch Saturday and used some Paper Studio dp I picked up on my last trip to Michaels or HL?!! Cant remember which one carries it. I got this dp just to use for Trevor. I paired it with some kraft cs for a more beachy look. Of course Trevor is colored w/copics and I wrote them down but in the chaos of organizing my cs and dp it got thrown away! sorry! I'm pretty sure his hair is e21, e25, and e27 and his clothes are yg11, 13 and 17 and b00, b01, and b12. For the sand e31, e33, e35 and the shells e40, e41, e42. Granny's Big Girl Panties

Since its getting close to CHA again I've been thinking about what a fantastic time I had in July of last year in Orlando. One of the highlights of our trip was helping with the OCL girls at the Splitcoast booth. Cambria and Joy were such sweeties and gave me this adorable Granny set as a Thank you. When I saw todays colors I decided to pull her out and play. She makes me smile and her hair is so fun to color. I added some sakura clear glaze to her glasses and jewerly then I added stardust stickles to the flowers on her dress. I used this weeks sweet spot sketch for my layout. The inside sentiment reads "I LIVE in my big girl panties!" Well thats it for me today. I have a big task of trying to get my dp and cs organized today. Cross ur fingers for me!LOL!! MME Swiss Pixie

When I posted my mint chocolate chip bear and I said how much I loved the mint green color a friend of mine sent me a message telling me about a MME stack that had mint green in it. Wanna know the sad part?! I actually already had the dp and it was sitting in a drawer untouched!LOL!! I had forgotten all about it! So I pulled it out and paired it with this Swiss Pixie and colored her up. I saw another hair color combo on Melyssa's blog I had to try... Im stuck on red heads for some reason!LOL! I used Tracys ESS sketch for my layout. I had to add some flowers around the image to cover up my out of the nestie boo-boo since there was no way I was trashing the image so Im actually not thrilled with how my card turned out. I know we all have days like that...I dont love my card but I cant put my finger on what it is about it I dont like!LOL!! I do love how her hair turned out and I love the dp and colors in the dp so Im going to leave it at that!LOL!! Hope you have a great day!

Early Bird Kiki

Hope you all have a great holiday today! We had to do our celebration Friday since most everyone had to work today. We went to Mama's and had a great time and now Im really glad we did it Friday since its looking like a cloudy day here in Ga.

Yesterday we got to do something we havent done in a long time! Too long! No kids, no hubbies, just me and Mama and our stamps, copics, and paper..ahhhh!LOL!! We decided to do the Quixotic sketch challenge and I colored this adorable Kiki image from CC designs. I did my grass different on this image and Im thrilled with how it turned out! I paired Kiki with some Cosmo Cricket early bird dp I found in my stash. Hope you dont get too tired of it b/c I colored 3 different images yesterday with the colors from it!LOL!! I already had all the markers out from this Kiki image and the race was on rain delay so I colored away. I laughed so hard at hubby last night b/c the Daytona race was on and the UFC fight started at 10 so we had the race on the bedroom tv and the fight on the living room and he was running back and forth all night!LOL! So after he got tired of running back and forth he had the kids watching his cars on the race and coming back and giving reports!LOL! Men...enuf said!LOL!!

Exciting News!

If you follow along on my blog you may remember a couple of cards I made with some new sassy and cute digis from Kenny K. I applied for the DT call and guess what?!?.....Yeppers!! I am a Kenny K Girl!! Yayy! You can check out all the other Kenny K Girlz on my sidebar along with the shop and a new challenge blog that will begin July 11.

So of course since I was so excited I had to make a card!LOL!! Hey we're stampers thats what we do!LOL!! I knew I wanted to use this Star image but I wanted to give her a more of a goth look. I went digging through my halloween dp and came across this BG dp from last Halloween. SCORE!! Love it! So I colored Star to match the dp and added some SU perfect plum (geesh cant even remember last time I used that color!) sponging around the nestie. Of course she had to have a little bling and sparkle so I added some black rhinestones to the stars, stardust stickles to her boots and silver stickles to her guitar. Oh and BTW Brayden says this is his girlfriend!LOL!!! I used Sketch Saturday for my layout. I think this is actually my first time playing along with their sketch-it was a fun sketch to work with. Oh and I was a good girl and wrote down my copics!
