I got to stamp and post 2 days in a row! Im on a roll!LOL! Todays card is using the sketch challenge. I bought a shirt from Maurices a couple of months ago and its one of my faves! I wrote down the color combo and a few sets that fit the style of the shirt in my inspiration book. The three sets were baroque motifs, true friend, and wanted. I need a thank you card for my step dad so I thought the colors were good for a masculine(ish) card but I knew the true friend wouldnt work b/c it would be too girly. I decided to use baroque motifs. I still feel like I went too girly with it so I might try it again w/Wanted. Here is a pic of part of the shirt that inspired my card. The design goes up the shirt in a swirl.
For the card I started with a taken w/teal card base. I stamped the baroque swirl in night of navy and the small flower in brilliance cosmic copper. For the main image panel I stamped the same design as the card base and layered w/night of navy and copper textured cs from DCWV metallic pack. For the side panels I used night of navy and placed 4 copper snaps on each one. I stamped the Baroque medallion inked in teal onto Pti white and punched out w/the scallop punch. I added copper stickles to parts of the medallion and both are popped up on dimensionals. Since this is a thank you card I stamped the kind sentiment inked in cosmic copper onto the the main image panel. Have a great day!
