Dvd tin
Okay I know you all have probably totally given up on me!LOL! But Im back! I have been super busy with orders, my stepmom, and the holiday. I finally finished all my orders today but I went back to the store and almost everything I made is gone! YAAAYY for me! Today I have a covered Dvd tin to share with you. I saw this on Cambria's blog a month or so ago and loved it. My file folders didnt exactly turn out like hers b/c I didnt have any long notes envelopes but Im still pleased with the result.
I cant move the pics around I tried to post something on my blog a couple of weeks ago and it changed something on my posts that I cant fix it! Check out Cambrias blog (stamp a little love) to see her Dvd tin. I had to cut my notepad to fit it into the tin but I had fun making this! I used the brocade dp and theatre ribbon I love the elastic ribbon in that collection!

Featured Stamper Marshmallow Reindeer
I wanted to sit down today and stamp for FUN! Ive been so busy this week with swaps and a lady who owns a store here in town ordered a bunch of stuff for me to make for her shop! BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! When I saw Shelly was the featured stamper today I already knew I wanted to case one of her Marshmallow images and change it to the reindeer that I bought at HL on clearance last month. I love this reindeer! He is so fun to color! Shelly also sent me and Mom some other Marshmallow images so get ready to see some more!LOL!
I think this card is the cutest! I love the colors! I used lavender lace, purely pomegrante, taken w/teal, and close to cocoa. I colored the image with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. The image is layered with close to cocoa and taken w/teal. I stamped the cluster stamp from festive favorites on textured purely pomegrante and layered w/close to cocoa. I went over the circles in the cluster stamp w/my white gel pen for a little accent. The sentiment is from last years Michaels $1 bin stamped in pomegrante. The photo corner is Quickutz. The taken with teal ribbon is from Taylors share. I'm running low Taylor!!!LOL!
Madison had a school program Friday and we ate lunch with her. She was soooo cute! We will get the results from her ultrasound tommorrow so we're still keeping our fingers crossed. We are having Thanksgiving w/Dannys family tommorrow and we had Harvest Day at church today. Im gonna be stuffed all week long!LOL!

Christmas Swap
I usually dont post swap cards on my blog but since that's all I've been working on for 3 days now its all I have to post!LOL!
Okay I know this card is super simple and its usually not something I would turn in for a swap but let me tell you a little story.....I love to stamp but I have learned from the past few days I dont like to stamp for mass production. I get bored too easily!LOL! Stamping and coloring the same image over and over.....and over! I had to make 13 of these cards but I tell you it felt like 100. Things have been on the normal crazy side at home. Class programs, Dr. appointments, etc. All 3 of my kids were sick and now have gotten me and Danny sick. Okay back to the card now...I felt very bad when I sat down to do these swaps and I had to do them b/c they were due this week. I knew I wanted to do a square card b/c I was out of all other envelopes. So I cut my first card and put it together to make my template. The card was 4 3/4 sq. Now that I had my template made I got started on the other 12 cards. So I cut my card bases 4 3/4 x 9. Now if you are a match whiz you may have already realized my dilemma.LOL! I however at the time couldnt add! So I now have 12 card bases cut to 4 3/4 x 9. I start to score all my cards now. OOPPPSSS! I scored my first card at 4 3/4 and realized it didnt match up. CRAPPPP!!!!! So I start on damage control. I cut the card to 4 1/4 x 8 1/2. Well I cant make anything simple I could have just cut the card to 4 1/2 and left it alone and it would have been sq but did I realize that before already cutting half the cards to 4 1/4 x 8 1/2. NNNOOOO!!! After I finally had all the cards cut to the right size I punched out my scallops and used my fiskars to cut the circles. I stamped the Gina K Sandy claws image on the circle and the sentiment on the base of the card. I needed some type of embelishment for the card and decided on ribbon. Well I usually make cards with more layers than this card so my ribbon to where its hidden behind the layer instead of being on the back of the card and couldnt on this card so I cut it to 4 1/4". I tried to line the ribbon up with the edge of the card which turned out to be harder than I thought on this particular day. I finally put everything down for the day and went back the next day to color the images and assemble the card. I used my prismacolor pencils to color the image and blended w/gamsol. I added Tulip puffy paint in diamond to all the white areas of the image so it has some dimension and sparkle. FINALLY!! Almost done so I go grab my envelopes (that I should have done beforehand but oh well!!) I realize my envelopes are the large envelopes so now I have this little 4 1/4" sq. card in a 6 1/2" envelope!GRREEAATT!!! But at this point I didnt care! I just put them together and hope everyone likes the card.
Hope youre having better stamping days than I am!!! Hopefully I'll be back tommorrow with something that doesnt require a book to explain!LOL! Please keep Madison in your thoughts and prayers tommorrow. We are going for a renal ultrasound and praying my kidney problems have not been passed on to her.

Hambo ATC swap
I signed up for a Hambo ATC on Taylors blog. I still had the skunk out yesterday and decided to go ahead and make my ATC cards. I love doing ATC's! I used a non SU textured burgundy base (3 1/2 x 2 1/2)and layered with regal rose and paper studio dp. The skunk is colored with SU markers and has stickles on this tail and hair. The skunk is layered w/the ruby red and burgundy. For embellishments I used black grosgrain ribbon from Taylors share and silver brads. Have a great weekend!

"phew" and far between
I've got another combo challenge card for you today. I love Beates weekend sketch challenge and I havent been able to do one in the last few weeks so I was determined to do it this weekend. Her layout was perfect for todays follow the list limited supply challenge. The challenge was to use only one background, one sentiment, and an animal stamp. You could use any coloring tools and quick tools like punches. No embelisments! I used my giga scallop punch, fiskars circles, and my corner punch.
I used my Hambo skunk (aint he cute!) and colored the flowers w/my Su markers. I layered him on brocade blue (cut w/fiskars) and old olive (scallop punch). I pierced the scallops and added stickles to the white parts of the skunk. I figured he had to have something going for him so why not a little sparkle to cover up the smell!LOL!
I used bashful blue strip since we couldnt use ribbon. The inside has the sentiment that goes with the skunk: Friends like you are "phew" and far between.
Have a great weekend. We are Calico bound this weekend!

Princess Velvet's Double Challenge
Now you all know I cant miss a sketch challenge! I just didnt get to finish it yesterday!LOL! I love doing sketch challenges! This card uses sc149 I already had all my images colored and when Julia posted velvet challenge today I worked it into my card. The only velvet I had was a couple pieces of scrap ribbon so I tabbed (???) it underneath the main image. I love this little princess image from Missy B Designs. This is Alexas set if youre not familar with her story click on Laurens blog on the sidebar: My time, My stampendence.
I colored the images w/primsacolor pencils and blended w/gamsol. I added stickles to all the jewels. I think it turned out pretty cute! Im off to eat lunch with the Mom. Hope you all have a great day!

Featured Stamper: JP Mayo
I made this card for todays featured stamper challenge. I love this challenge b/c it gives you a chance to case some great galleries. I chose Jimmie's Hanna card to case since I just got this set this week. I changed the dp, colors, sentiment, and added some stickles. I colored the image with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. I pulled my colors from the polka dots from my dp with are unfortunately covered up by the image!LOL! I used the corner rounder for my scallops and my ticket corner punch for the main image. I made faux brads with my stickles. I didnt have enough room for the entire sentiment so I only inked up the but... and the I need it is stamped on the inside of the card. Have a great day!

MFTSC03 Teacher Christmas
Ive been wanting to participate in the MFT sketch challenges on the member companies forum and I finally got a chance to today. I'm so behind on all the challenges! I had to change the sketch a little for it to work for my card which I normally dont try to do!
This is for mftsc03. I wanted to use my new KI memories dp and went from there. I paper pieced the teachers skirt and colored her w/prisma pencils. The teacher image is cut out of the box and layered on celery. I had to distress the edges b/c my fiskars messed up one of the sides. (note to self:need new blade!) I used the chalkboard image stamped in garden green and sentiment stamped in bravo burgundy under my angled dp. The image needed a little something more so I stamped the present image from home for the holidays and used my silver stickles. To finish off my card I added silver brads to all four corners.
I had fun making this card mixing the two sets and it was the first time I've tried an out of the box image. It took tow tries but I got it!LOL!
Recipe
stamps:MFT home for the holidays, MFT back to school
Paper: ki memories dp, bravo burgundy, certainly celery, PTI white
Ink: garden green, pink passion, bravo burgundy
Other: silver stickles, silver brads, prismacolor pencils, sponges, dimensionals, oval fiskars

Holiday Triple Challenge
Did ya miss me?!!?LOL! We have been busy picking up pecans here. We have 7 trees we've been picking up from. I think this weekend we are going to shake the trees and that should wrap it up.
Todays challenge was to make a holiday card that could easily be mass produced and flat (no knots or dimensionals, etc.). When I think of mass producing bold image stamps come to mind so I went looking through my stamps. I didnt have any that didnt require coloring! So I pulled out all my acrylic sets since I wanted to also used Thursday's chalk it out challenge. I love using chalk inks on my acrylic stamps. I found this flower in my green thumb set from PTI. PERFECT!! I stamped the larger image with Versamagic aegan blue and the smaller in starlite silver. I added silver stickles to the centers. The main image is layered with bayou and basic gray. I stamped the PTI sentiment from faux ribbon on the bayou card base. The textured silver cs was from a metallic stack from DCWV. For the flat ribbon I used my basic gray taffeta ribbon.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
