Chocolate Truffle Heaven

I love todays sketch!! What a fun one Rox!! This sketch gave me a chance to pull out these little truffles from H & M stamps Sweetly Stamped set. I colored the truffles with copic markers and then added crystal effects. The dp I used is from MME and I think its called Urban window but Ive already cut off the bottom part with the dp name on it. I only used one embellishment on this card!! I used a self adhesive chocolate pearl from Kaiser available at Treehouse stamps.

English Afternoon Tea Magnolia style

Hubby and I were chillin out watchin a movie tonight and I looked up and saw it was almost 12 so I decided to pop in SCS and see who the FS is today!! yayy Jami!! Congrats!! I cased Jami's card here. I changed the colors/dp and stamps but I kept the layout. I changed the circle to a square and moved the image to the opposite side.

Remember yesterday when I said I was trying to step out of my norm?!!? Well this is totally out of my norm!LOL! Magnolias are the cutest stamps but totally intimidate me b/c I thought they would be hard to color and I dont have the landscaping/scene gene!LOL! I have to say I loved coloring this image!!! I got the image from a friend and I think shes called Picnic Tilda. Oh and I totally have Guns N Roses Mr Brownstone stuck in my head tonight!! As I was coloring the images I realized I only have one copic gray marker so I looked through trying to figure out what colors to use for the stone walkway and archway. I forgot choc chip is in the dp so I pulled it out and wondered how it would look you see where Im going here?!!? Have a great day!!

Seeing Double Stripes

Since todays challenge was stripes I had to make two cards!! I used H & M images for both of my cards. I pulled out my fave (for right now!LOL!) striped dp. I think its called Front Porch by MME. I paired the dp with Old English and colored the house using ink pads/reinkers and blender pens. I also used some Core'dinations cs on this card and sanded the edges (I love how this looks!!) For my second card I wanted to make a simple masculine card so I pulled out the flannel plaid background and paired it with Natures Style. The buttons on the card are closer to the kraft color than it shows in the pic.

Have a great night! We have a basketball game tonight only 2 more to go!! Woo-Hoo!! They are doing sign ups for Soccer but we told the kids NO!LOL! We need a break!! Seriously though the kids have had a blast playing and cheering but they have so many tests, etc coming up in Spring and practice is on Tues night and games on Thurs nights we just needed a break since we did football and then now basketball. I like being home SOME nights!LOL!

Girly sfytt

When I saw the colors in todays challenge I thought GIRLY! So I pulled out this Livin the girls life set from H & M stamps. I used Jens sfytt for the layout. This little girl reminds me so much of my oldest daughter. She says she wants to be an artist. She loves sitting down with me and stampin up!LOL!! I still cant believe she will be 8 yrs old this Valentines day. Boy does time fly!!LOL!

I think I forgot to mention on here but Im so very proud of her!! She won the writing fair for her school. Her paper is now going to county. She is so excited b/c they took her pic and are going to put her paper and pic up in the mall. It was so funny b/c the day after we found out she won the writing fair her and another little girl were on the news where their school went to see an iced over farm down the road from the school. I have some cool pics the school sent me that I will post later.

Granny is home and well!! Yayyy!! Unfortunately I cant go see her b/c Ive still got this cold and she told me to stay away!LOL!! The kids were so excited to see her pull in her drive they darted out the door. Now that everything is fine I can tell you how very scared we were that we were going to lose her! It was a very stressful month and Im glad its over!! Have a great day!!

Regal Baby Bravo Kisses

I need a few baby cards so I used todays colors and my fave baby set Miracle from Above to make this card. Its a fabulous baby set!! I colored the image using gamsol magic. I used copic e00 skin white for the skin tones and warm gray no.1 to outline the image in. I also blushed her cheeks with r20 blush and used my white gel pen for a little dot in the middle. I used Jens sfytt for my layout. I *heart* this layout!!

Washington Apple Valentine

I *heart*this Valentine set from H & M! Its out of stock right now but it will be available again SOON!! I made this card for my little boy for Valentines day. As soon as he saw this giraffe he wanted me to make him a card using it and he had to have orange too!!LOL! So I pulled out washington apple dp to pair with it! Since I wont be mailing and have to worry about postage I added a few extra layers!LOL! The inside of the card is stamped with the sentiment and is pierced. ( I need to start taking pics of the inside of my cards!!LOL! I always forget!)

I used yesterdays sketch challenge for my layout. The giraffe and tree are colored using gamsol magic. I added piercing to each corner of the image and above/below each dp strip. I think this turned out really cute and I know he'll love it! Have a great day!

Doggie case

Todays featured stamper is JayDeKay. While I was browsing through her gallery I found some cute Doggie cards she made. I chose this to case. I love the adorable image she used and it reminded me of the dog in H & M stamps super adorable valentine set! I colored the dog using gamsol magic and added stardust stickles to the flower and heart tag. FYI this set should be back in stock SOON!! It sold out pretty quick during the garage sale!! Other changes I made were colors, left off the doodling, changed the embossed panel to dp, and used an oval sentiment layer instead of a circle.

Brayden lost his first tooth today! He was so excited!! My poor baby Alana hasnt felt good today shes got a bad kidney infection. Shes slept just about all day. I felt so bad for her today. She didnt understand what was wrong with her. She broke my heart!!

Peaceful Decor

Todays colors are brilliant blue, garden green, and pumpkin pie. I paired the colors with the Jersey shore dp and H & M stamps Peaceful decor. Dont forget about the Garage Sale! Unfortunately as I was linking this card Peaceful Decor has sold out!!!

I colored the tree which Im guessing is supposed to be a lemon tree but for the challenge I made it an orange tree!LOL! anywho I colored the image using gamsol magic (big surprise huh!?!?)LOL! I used Julees Mojo sketch 68 for my layout. Sorry for the bad angle but my card wasnt cooperating.

Glittered Angel

Todays technique challenge is to make striped paper using tacky tape and glitter. It made a mess but its sooo worth it!! I went digging through my glitter and found 3 tubes of glitter I got in a pack from Walmart forever ago!LOL! I love the colors!! I used 1/2" tacky tape to make my stripes. I colored the angel from H & M stamps Calling all angels using gamsol magic. This set will be on sale Jan 6-7 so dont forget to stop by H & M!! Heather is having a HUGE garage sale and you wont want to miss it!!

I used my oval nesties to cut and emboss my oval and stamped the sentiment under the angel. The layout is from Mary Jo's sketch challenge. I used circle punches and teal brads from Pink Hedgehog Papercrafts. I made this for my little girl for Valentines Day and I have to say I love how it turned out and I know she'll love it too sparkle, pink, purple...whats not to love?!!?LOL!

Whooo cased HRR

Todays featured stamper is Her Royal Rubberness Julie!! Congrats!! I chose Julie's Hoo loves you card to case. Ive been dying to ink up this owl from H & M stamps My favorite valentine and Julies card was just screaming at me to case!LOL! I changed the stamps but kept the same theme. I changed the colors and dp to Crate cowgirl dp. I love the texture to Crate dp!! I also added a couple of layers and left off the scallops.

I stamped the owl image twice and colored him. I cut out and popped up just the owls body and wings. I added the library clip and let me tell you that little library clip just about made me lose my religion this morning!LOL! Its the first time Ive used one and Ive had them since they were in the mini a few catalogs ago..well I know I've seen cards using them with ribbon tied to it. Well I have big hands so it was hard enough trying to work with this itty bitty clip but I finally got it when I flipped the clip over and seen the OTHER side of it and it worked much better!!LOL!

I wanted to let you know also that Granny is doing MUCH better. Shes out of ICU and in a regular room now. Hopefully she'll be coming home some time this week.

For the love of the game

I feel like its been forever since I stamped!LOL! I couldnt let a sketch challenge go by without me doing it though!! I also used yesterdays color challenge for my combo card. When I saw the colors I thought they would be great for a masculine card. I love this set from H & M stamps. This set will be on sale Jan 6-7 for Heathers BIG garage sale!!! You wont want to miss it!!!!!I also had to use the diamond ef and prints b/c of the golf shorts/pants I see!!!LOL!!

Since its been awhile since Ive posted I wanted to update you! Things have been a little hetic around here the past week. We had family here from out of town and then my husband's granny had surgery the first of the week. We've done alot of going back and forth. We're hoping she will get moved out of ICU today!! Oh and I have to tell you we had the craziest day on the day of her surgery!!LOL! Different hospitals use different codes but if you are ever in Valdosta hospital and hear Code gray find a place to hide!!!LOL! (PS I can laugh about it now but I sure wasnt laughing then!!!)

Go ahead and dance

I had some stamping time this weekend so I made a card for Laurens sketch. I thought it would be cute for this little dancer from H & M stamps. She is from Livin the girls life. I love the sentiment!! I used some retired dp called spring showers (I think!LOL!). I colored the girl with copics and went over the skirt (tutu?!!?) with diamond stickles. Can you tell my girls dont dance!?!LOL! They stay busy enough with cheerleading! I colored the bridal flower from Micheals with the copic too I just love how they shimmer!!

Livin like a rockstar

Todays challenge is winter blues to use mostly blue making a holiday card (any holiday). Well when Jeanne said any holiday I thought this would be a great day to make a card for the DD gallery. This months theme is Obscure holidays. Did you know that Jan 13 is make your dreams come true day? Well this littlel girl from H & M stamps Livin the girls life is making her dreams come true livin like a rockstar!LOL! I used the DD sketchfor my layout.

I watercolored the girl using SU markers but Im not bragging about that!LOL! I havent used the technique in awhile and it seems I've forgotten how to do it!LOL! I colored two images and popped her up. It looks really cute IRL.

Todays the last day of school here and they dont go back to school until Jan 7 so the kids are having their Christmas parties today. They were so excited this morning b/c they have pajama day and are watching Polar Express and having cocoa. Madison also got invited to her first slumber party for tonight. Its all shes talked about this week!LOL! Have a great day!

Apple Cider Brewin

I love todays sketch!! It was perfect for a card I need to make for a coffee lovin friend. I used H & Ms Coffees abrewin for my image. I colored the coffee cups using gamsol magic and added tulip puffy paint to the foam. I sponged the circles w/river rock ink and popped up the image on dimensionals. I pulled out some of my apple cider dp to pair w/the coffee cups and added some double stitched river rock ribbon.

I think Im finally finished Christmas shopping! Yayyyy!!LOL! My oldest daughter was the hardest to buy for this year. Shes getting older which means shes getting too much like her Mama and getting expensive taste! Half the things on her list to Santa would have broke Santas bank!LOL! I got her an MP3 player (instead of the IPOD she wanted) I found on sale for $30 and spent an entire day putting songs on the thing!! Good grief it was alot of work!!LOL!

So now that Im finally through w/shopping (the fun part) I have to wrap the presents which if you've been reading my blog since last Christmas know is my least fave part!!LOL! Im not so great at the wrapping I usually nominate my MIL for the task!LOL! She feels honored!LOL! Have a great day!

Pointe Case

Congrats Anna!! I love Anna's gallery especially her masculine cards but I decided to case her Thank you card here. I loved the simple layout and the colors were perfect for the card I wanted to make for my neice who is having a recital next month. I used H & M stamps Girls Obsession. I love this ballet image and sentiment! I changed the pink to pink pirouette, changed the stamps, and added some layers and embossing. I also added stardust stickles to the stars.

Sorry Ive been MIA again. Ive had a terrible earache this week! The whole left side of my head ached!LOL! Yesterday we had a great day! We put up our Christmas tree and decorations, watched some Christmas movies, drank cocoa and went looking at Christmas lights last night. My kids got their letter from Santa yesterday. It was sooo cute! They were so excited!LOL! Have a great day!

Dec Blog Hop

This months H & M blog hop theme is wrap it up! So I decided to make a gift for my cousins. I know this is not the best pic but its large and was hard to photograph!LOL! I got this idea from the Pre-k. I bought a cookie sheet and used the Painters markers and wrote their name on it. The girls are BIG Tinkerbell fans so I used H & M's Fairy tales and stamped teh fairy silhouette in certainly celery like Tink. The cookie sheets are a great way to keep the mess minimized!LOL!

I found this basket at the Dollar tree and thought it would be perfect to hold the girls playdough in so I filled it will some leftover Easter ribbon shreds. I found some pastel colored playdough and I covered the playdough containers w/some dp from Paper studio. I stamped the butterfly from the Fairy tales set in barely banana, pretty in pink, and apricot appeal b/c they were the closet matched to the playdough colors. I used my scallop circle punch and 1 3/8" circle punch for the lids.

I found a 101 pc cookie cutter set at Walmart and thought they would be great to include in the gift basket. I pulled out all the alphabet cookie cutters for the girls set. It took two large acetate bags so I made a topper for one bag and a tag for the other bag. I also made the same tag for the gift bag. Now its time to start hoppin.....Check out what the other DT ladies created.

Tinkerbell

Okay so I covered quite a few challenges on this card now the challenge is remeber which ones!LOL! To start with I used H & M stamps Fairy tales set for the OCC silhouette challenge. Silke is the guest designer for the OCC this week so I wanted to use more of her style for my card. Silke uses alot of white in her cards and they look so striking!! I used Beates wsc66 for my layout. I used the colors in the PCP color challenge hosted by my friend Ashley. As soon as I saw the colors I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The colors Ashley chose this week are certainly celery, old olive, white, and vanilla. Well I cant use white and vanilla on a card!!! It makes me break out in hives!LOL! I just cant do it so I decided to use one and went with white. Maybe its b/c I been oogling the DD gallery all today but the first thing that popped in my head when I saw the colors was Tinkerbell and I knew the fairy tales set would be perfect so I pulled it out and saw it had a never never land sentiment. It was just meant to be!LOL! So my card also is for the DD central theme this month. My girls are la la over tinkerbell!LOL! Alana reads the Tinkerbell books all the time and they both love the movie! I think the colors in my card also fit for todays inspiration challenge gotta check that out! So now that Ive babbled on and on Im gonna say bye!LOL! Hope you have a great night!

Rock on!

Im sorry this is late posting! I scheduled the post and put the wrong time in and we just got home from a day of shopping. Thats what I get for being in a hurry!LOL! I made this card for yesterdays acrylic challenge. I used H & M acrylick stamps. This set is called Rock on and has some great images for teens! I love using the bold images for fast cards. I made this card in less than 20 minutes which is super good for me!LOL! I used Jersey shore dp b/c I love the colors in it and I thought they would be great for this teen card. I distressed some of the edges and added some paper piercing. I used H & M sketch challenge for this week since its been forever since Ive played along. I really like the layout for this fun card. Percy needs shades!

I know its bright but I had to do it!LOL! I got this rainbow sherbert dp in and I just had to use it!I love the colors in it and they were perfect to pair with my Joyride percy from H & M stamps. I even found a prima and matching brad for the colors in my stash. It was just meant to be!LOL! I used todays sketch for my layout. The Percy image is colored using gamsol magic. I used the apricot appeal color I think its Spanish orange in the prismacolor pencils for shadowing so it looks like the sun is glowing all around him. It makes me warm looking at it on this cold dreary day we are having here! Oh and dont you just have to have a car like Percys!??!LOL! Have a great day!
