Girl and Birdhouse

Last night I just wanted to sit down and color with no colors or sketch etc in mind. Just to sit down and color. I pulled out some of my neglected Sugar Nellie images. I have been so intimidated by this image!LOL!! I did have a blast coloring it last night and even got a WOW from my hubby. Im sorry but I didnt write down any colors b/c I wasnt sure if it was going to make it onto a card or not. This image is so large I just matted it on a kraft card base and added a Quickutz photo corner with pearls colored with copics. Well that's it for me today. Sorry for such a quick post but I am ready to put my feet up and relax!LOL!!
ETA: OMG! I cant believe I didnt know about the Elisabeth Bell DT call!! I love her images just like the one I used here! I was browsing through some blogs and seen where a friend of mine posted the badge on her blog and was soooo excited until I saw the deadline was only 1 hr away!! GASP!! How lucky was it I just colored this image?!?LOL!!

Well my card didnt turn out so quite so clean and simple! I wanted to play along with the Sugar bowls sketch challenge so I colored up the Sugar Nellie image using the colors from this weeks CAS color challenge. Fs126 Nuts for B-gin-r

Todays featured stamper is Sandra aka B-gin-r. I love Sandra's gallery! Awesome cards! I picked her card here to case. I didnt have the squirrel image she used so I used Sugar nellies Nuts image from the home grown collection. I colored the image using gamsol magic. I changed the dp to MME (no telling how long Ive had this!LOL!) and Coredinations cs. Instead of a circle sentiment I added a
prima with a button/brad center. I also used some yummy ribbon I got from Jacksonbelle embellishments. I also remebered to take a pic of the inside of the card. I havent stamped a sentiment on it yet. I like to have a few cards on hand that will just about work for anything that I can add the sentiment later for the occassion.

Hope you all had a great 4th of July yesterday! We celebrated with our family on Friday since Danny and Jessie had to work yesterday. I spent just about all day yesterday playing Guess who with my kids!LOL! Seriously! We were cleaning out their closet and they found my old game and wanted me to show them how to play it. They loved it and we played it like 100 times yesterday!LOL!

Urban Prarie Postbox

Wow has it really been over a week since I posted?!!?! I will not bore you w/all the details of why stamping had to be put on the backburner for the last week so I'll just move onto the card. Todays FS is Kathy aka Wattle. This was a new gallery for me to browse through. While browsing through her wonderful gallery I found this happy mail card to case. I knew I wanted to keep the image and the colors reminded me of the urban prarie dp so I used similar colors. Since it was a sketch card I changed the layout. I wanted to keep the card pretty simple since I havent stamped all week so I just popped up the girl image and added a button. Have a great day!!

Afternoon tea reflection

I love todays simple sketch. I knew it would be great for a Sugar nellie image. My friend Lori sent me this image and its now her fault Im obsessed with Sugar nellie!LOL! Im still working on using some of my retired dp. I have too much of the stuff!LOL! I colored the sugar nellie image using the colors from the afternoon tea dp. I colored this image a couple of weeks ago when we were waiting out storms at my MIL's so I forgot to write down the colors I used! Sorry!! I used Inges dp corners again but I did both corners instead of one and Michelles button. I went a little crazy with the sponging on this one so Im not sure I totally love it plus I have brown fingernails now!LOL!! Have a great day!

Planting some copic love
Okay I know a funny title but hey it gets hard!LOL! For my card today I did a couple of copic challenges. I used the copic colour challenge and the copic creations challenge. The copic colour challenge is to use R22, E47, and B12. Super cute colors together! The copic creations challenge is skin tones. So of course I had to pull out some more Sugar nellies!LOL! This cutie is called planting some love (hence the title!). I used the wsc75 that is hosted by Mary Jo this week. I keep forgetting about the wsc! Okay so I love the layout but I did have kinda a hard time with it! I just really wanted to use this image so I had to make it work!LOL! I popped the kitty up on dimensionals for one of the circle in the layout and colored a bridal flower with my copic marker for the other circle. I used wide choc chip ribbon and the new SU corduroy brads-love them!! SO yummy!! The sentiment is also from SU but I cant remember which set (its one I borrowed from Mama) and I added some piercing below the sentiment. Well thats about it for today! Only 2 more days left of school this week before Easter break.

Bittersweet Sugar Nellie
Todays color challenge is riding hood red, pink pirouette, and choc chip. I knew I wanted to use BG bittersweet dp when I saw the colors. I pulled out this sweet Sugar nellie image to pair with the dp and colored her with copics. Its the first time shes seen ink Ive been waiting for the right time to use her. I used Julees mojo80 for my layout. I love this awesome sketch! I sponged the main image and dp with sahara sand ink. Im really happy with how my card turned out today! We are supposed to be having bad weather around here again today so we get to drain the pool before the 5" of rain they are prediciting we will get from this storm! yipee!LOL! My yard already looks like a swamp from 4" of the rain the storm on Saturday gave us! Have a dry day!LOL!

Giddy Up Outlaw
Congrats to Karen todays featured stamper! I love this challenge b/c I find new galleries! I cased this card of Karens. I really liked the layout so I kept it but I changed the piercing and pierced around the strip. I used this super adorable sugar nellie image my friend Lori (mwah!) sent me! Isnt she the cutest?!!? I distressed the image and sponged with river rock ink. I added a star embellie instead of the ribbon and clip Karen used. I also left off the side tab embellishment. I added two brads to the bottom of the card instead of a sentiment. I stamped the howdy sentiment from Cowboy kid on the inside. I also added in some extra layers. I kept some of her colors b/c wh
