Put on your big girl panties

....and just deal with it!!LOL!

Since Im trying to catch up on my stamping I have a triple challenge card for you!! I used Mercys sketch challenge for my layout. I used silver brads and colored the dog collar with my Sakura silver gelly roll pen for todays ways to use it challenge. I havent been able to do any of the HCE challenges so I decided to pop over there and see what the challenge was today. Jen challenged us to pull out some old stuff! I saw a card Frances aka stamp owl did for VSN awhile back and she used this cutie dog from Rubbernecker and paired with my fave sassy sentiment from Missy B Designs Sassy girls. So of course I had to order this dog from Rubbernecker!LOL! Well that was quite awhile back and he still hasnt seen ink yet....until today!!LOL! This sentiment was just made for him!!LOL!! The remainder of the sentiment is stamped on the inside of the card. Have a great New Years Day!!! We had a great New Years eve night. We had a Wii party and played Twister dance. Alot of laughing involved!LOL! Granny didnt get moved out of ICU yesterday they're not sure when she will be moved out possibly Friday but we'll have to see what kind of day she has today!

sc170 Sassy Girl

Sorry Ive been MIA again. ALOT has been going on. First I had 2 cameras now I have none. I have stamped some though so I do have a few things I can share over the next few days. I probably wont be posting daily but I will post as often as I can.

I made this card for this weeks sketch challenge. It took me 2 days to think of the image I could use since it was a long panel. I knew I didnt want to use flowers again then I remebered these Missy B Sassy girls so I pulled them out and the sentiment seemed to fit my mood at the time!LOL!! I colored her w/prismacolor pencils and blended w/gamsol. I paper pieced her skirt with the same dp as panel 2. The dp I used is SU spring fling.

Here is a close up of the main image. This is the first time Ive tried to do a close up so let me know how you like it! I will probably give this card to my sister since we seem to share an inherited sassyness and I know she will appreciate it!LOL!

Recipe:

Stamps: Missy B Sassy girls

Ink: pallette noir

Paper: spring fling dp, pretty in pink, so saffron, certainly celery

Other: crystal stickles, prismacolor pencils, pretty in pink grosgrain, celery grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals, silver brad, paper piercing

Princess Velvet's Double Challenge

Now you all know I cant miss a sketch challenge! I just didnt get to finish it yesterday!LOL! I love doing sketch challenges! This card uses sc149 I already had all my images colored and when Julia posted velvet challenge today I worked it into my card. The only velvet I had was a couple pieces of scrap ribbon so I tabbed (???) it underneath the main image. I love this little princess image from Missy B Designs. This is Alexas set if youre not familar with her story click on Laurens blog on the sidebar: My time, My stampendence.

I colored the images w/primsacolor pencils and blended w/gamsol. I added stickles to all the jewels. I think it turned out pretty cute! Im off to eat lunch with the Mom. Hope you all have a great day!

Lsc135 Flying Monkeys

I had alot of fun with todays challenge. We had to use a halloween image with a non halloween sentiment. I decided to also use non halloween colors for my card. Everyone who knows me personally knows I can be a bit sassy!LOL! I love the sassy sentiments in Missy B designs Sassy girls! I knew I wanted to use a MFT set for Kirsten's contest and I thought of my sassy girls sentiment.."dont make me get my flying monkeys"LOL! I love it! I called Mom to make sure using that sentiment wasnt "cheating". She said I should use one of my monkey images on the card too but I thought they would be too big. So we thought of using polyshrink to make a charm. I did two things on this card I havent done before polyshrink and paper piecing. YYYAAAAYY for me!LOL!

I started out with a choc chip base 4 x 5 1/2. I layered my American crafts dp measuring 3 7/8 x 5 3/8. I started out with the idea of using Wed sketch challenge but the sentiment wouldnt work right for it and I HAD to keep the sentiment so I had to adjust the layout. I used choc chip 1 1/2 x 5 3/8 with cameo coral ribbon wrapped around it for the center of the card. To get my charm to lay right I used a faux bow and used a glue dot to attach my knot to my ribbon. For my main image I used MFT fright night set. I didnt want the bats in the corner showing so I covered it w/a quickutz photo corner. The witch is paper pieced w/dp and colored w/prisma color pencils. I sponged the edges of the paper pieced dress and the main image. I matted cameo coral and so saffron with 1/8" mats. I stamped the sentiment on the opposite side of dp in timber brown and matted w/so saffron. The entire main image is up on dimensionals.

Madison went back to school today after much debate!LOL! She thought it would be better to wait until Monday to got back to school. Alana is already having to take breathing treatments and on steriods b/c shes having trouble. See told you 2-3 days did I nail it or what?!??! Peanut season-such a joy! Its so bad right now you can walk out the door and taste the peanut dust! Hope you have a great weekend! My cousins bridal shower is tommorrow so I will be back to show you a cute little gift I made for her.
