Tart and Tangy Emma

Hello friends hope you are having a "cherry" good day!LOL!! Keeping true to my promise to myself I pulled out some retired SU dp to use this weekend. I loved Jens sfytt from Sat so I sat down and colored up this Cherry Emma. I think this dp is called Summer Picnic but I know its dp that goes with the SU set Tart and tangy. Anywho I forgot how much I liked this dp and Jens fun sketch was great for using different designs. I pulled out some lovely crocheted flowers Anne was so nice to send me. Ive been hoarding these beauties but finally decided to use the red one! Thanks so much Anne! I may just have to send her this card as a thank you! Okay thats it for me today short and sweet. Im looking forward to a relaxing weekend since I know the last week of school is going to be killer!LOL!! Have a good one!

Sugar Rush Tomboy

I adore this TGF image! Shes so cute with her little tongue stuck out!LOL! I thought she would be cute paired with the fun designs in the BG sugar rush dp. Of course I had to color her clothes mismatched since she probably doesnt care if she matches or not!LOL!! Kinda like my girls! This totally looks like something my 7 year old would get up on and put on to wear to school!LOL! I think the sketch I used was last weeks Sweet Sunday sketch. I wanted to keep this card pretty simple and this sketch was perfect for a simple layout. I even jotted down my copic colors I used on this one. I think I'll slip this card in my little girls bookbag the last day of school. Have a great one!

ESS Daisies

If you visit my blog often you know I tend to do more cutesy cards. Im not too big on flowers except daisies! I love this set from Flourishes Gerbera Daisy. I also finally got my hands on some BG Origins dp with I think goes perfect for daisies. Of course the daisy image is colored with copics and sponged with antique linen. I also added some chocolate pearls to the image. I used Tracy's ESS sketch for my layout which I think was also perfect for this image. I just love when my cards fall together so easily!LOL! Im really happy with how this turned out! I even pulled out some SU garden green cs! I cant tell you how long its been since I used that color!LOL!! I also paired the dp with SU chocolate chip and crushed curry. I even finished the inside of this card mainly because I knew the occassion I wanted to use it for. Im bad about not stamping a sentiment on card so I can have it if I need a last minute card.

I hope all you Mothers had a great day yesterday!! I spent the day with my Mom, sis, and 3 kiddos. I have made the mistake of teaching my kids how to play Skip-Bo and now thats all they want to do!LOL!! Have a great one!

Heidi among the flowers

1 day down 18 more to go!! Yes I am beginning my countdown for the school year!LOL! I am so ready for summer this year. Dont get me wrong I do *heart* my preK babies but they have spring fever right now and you can tell its near the end of the year!

Okay so onto the card. Sadly this is the only card Ive had a chance to make. My kids had CRCT testing this past week so we were busy, busy!! I colored this CC designs swiss pixie image using copics of course. I tried a new hair color again. This I was going for an ash blonde/brown color. I used e50, e44, and y28. Not exactly thrilled with it but at least something different. I paired Heidi with some MME bloom and grow paper and colored the image to match. Lately Im having to make cards in steps since my time at my stamp table is limited. So it took me about 3 days to make this card!LOL!! I started out coloring her skin and hair the first night then left it alone. The next night I picked out the dp and colored her to match. Then the 3rd night I put the card together. I used last weeks Sunday sketch for my layout and used another of Tori's bows like in my previous card. I love using this for scraps of wider ribbon! I was actually trying a new sponging method on this card too that didnt work out so I think I will go back to my previous way of doing it! Have a great day!

Sweet Messages

Im going to make this quick since I've already tried 3xs to post this! Is anyone else having trouble with Blogger?! Somehow in our busy weekend I found the time to color this TGF Sweet Messages image. I knew I wanted to use some SU dp so I pulled out this afternoon tea dp. I just love the colors in this and even though Im not a SU demo anymore Im glad to see they are changing some of the colors and bringing back alot of the good in colors from the past. For my layout I used Jens sfytt. This layout was a bit different for me so I struggled with it for a bit but Im happy with the end result and look 3 different dp designs!! Im getting better!LOL! Oh and did you check out the ribbon treatment?!! I found this tutorial on Toris blog and had to give it a try. I love ribbon and love using it on my card but seriously I come up blank when trying to think of different bows, etc to use on my cards. Okay thats it for me today! Im super tired today we had a fishing field trip and thankfully no one fell in the pond and no child or adult got "hooked"!LOL! If you seen our class you would know that meant it was a good day!LOL!!

Kiki's Diner

Oops! I hit enter too soon so if you seen this post earlier with nothing on it now ya know!LOL!

I have been waiting patiently for warm sunny day to get me in the mood to color this adorable Kiki image! Isnt she a doll!?!? I picked up this Moms Diner Recollections dp on a trip to our LSS. I thought the fun colors would be perfect for Kiki! I colored her using copics and added some sakura clear glaze to her eyes and the cherry on the ice cream. I used Amys Friday sketch for my layout. For a little something different I cut Kiki out and used blush blossom for my oval layer. I had a really hard time matching my cs to the dp so next time I will make sure and pick up some Bazzill cs that matches this dp! I think I've told you before thats why I LOVE the Recollections dp and when I looked at the tabs I thought I had some cs to match it....turns out not so much!LOL! Oh and did you see the glitter candy dots! They are so cute and sparkly! Have a great day!

Bang! Bang!

Boo!Hoo!! Today is the last day of my spring break. We have had sooo much fun this week I hate to see it come to an end. Sadly today will be spent getting back to reality and getting ready to go back to school/work tommorrow! I did have some coloring and stamping time this week just lack of time for posting. I made this card earlier in the week for Mercys Tuesday sketch. Since my cheeky shooter was too big for a circle I used an oval instead. I also pulled out some SU dp again and again I cant think of the name of the dp! Gotta find that catty!LOL!! I colored the Cheeky girl using copics to match the dp and added some stickles to her boots and skirt. I also added some pearl earrings and used sakura clear glaze pen over her eyes so they are shiny. I even finally used a courdoury button on this card! I just HAD to have them when they came out and I think I've used one before this card. Why do we do that!?!LOL! Hope you all have had a great week!
