...that was so 5 mins ago!

I wasnt sure what I was going to do for todays WT time challenge since I dont own a clock stamp then I saw someone used a great sentiment that referred to time so I thought Id go through my sentiments and see what I could find. I saw this sentiment in the ...and then I said set I got at CHA that hasnt even seen ink yet!! So I had to use it! I paired this sassy girl with some BG dp. I think this is a great teen set and when I think of teen cards I think of fun funky dp and bright colors. I think this June bug dp is about as funky and bright as I can get!LOL!!
Im trying out some blonde combos for copics. I used yr20, yr23, and yr31 for this one and I like it but I think next time I add a little e31 or e33 for more a sandy blonde look. Maybe?!?LOL!! I find I dont like the y's b/c they are just too bright for hair IMO.

Stamps: And then I said-MFT
Paper: june bug dp, new leaf (pti), white
Ink: memento black, versamagic key lime, copics yr20, yr23, yr31, e0000, e00, e21, r24, r29, yr04, yr16, yr07, y02. y06, y08, w1, w3, w5, 0

TGF Twinkle Tots

I dont know about all you stampers out there but I so need a break from Christmas cards!LOL!! I spent last week finishing up all my cards so I pulled out this image I got from tgf that hadnt even been inked up yet and colored him up. This is another image I HAD to have! I love it! It is perfect for my little boy since most of waking hours are spent with a game controller in his hands!LOL!! J/K but he would have it that way if I would let him!LOL!! When I colored this image I wanted to color it up for Bray so I colored his shirt orange which is his favorite color and even colored his socks with the gray toes like his has. After I had the image colored up I went digging through my stash of dp to see if I had some I could pair with my image. I found this dp from MME I think it called front porch. I have no idea how long Ive had it. I used sketch #2 from tgf 12 days of sketches for my layout. Since this card is for a boy I left off ribbon and added some piercing and brads for embellies. I also distressed some of the edges. Now its time to make some goodies with the kiddies! Have a great day!

Christmas Cardinal

I wanted to make a non cutesy Christmas card so I borrowed this SU Christmas cardinal set from my Mom and colored him up last night. When I saw featured stamper Pams card here I knew it was the one I wanted to case. I love when that happens! I kept the layout but left off the border punch. I really like her ribbon treatment but I didnt have enough room on my image so I used a buttony bow instead. I also used pearls instead of rhinestones brads and changed the placement.
Busy day today! I HAVE to get started wrapping presents and we have our Christmas play tonight where Santa will drop by for a visit! The kids are being extra good today!LOL!! Have a great day!!

Stamps: Christams Cardinal

Swiss Pixie Nora

I cased this fabulous card of Amys and realized its very close to this weeks sketch challenge. I also made this card for this weeks Flutter by winter challenge. I added some frosted lace stickles to the snowflakes and her wings. I added some snow on the ground using MS snow glitter. I love this new to me MME dp! I colored Nora using copics to match the dp and added some pearls to her jacket and hair. I sponged all the edges and Nora with antique linen distress ink to match the dp. Sorry! Not very chatty today. Alana had bronchitis this week that she obviously has passed along to me so Im gonna keep this post short and sweet! Have a great weekend!

Sassy Winter Fairy

Doesnt this fairy look so sassy to you?!! I actually won this winter fairy and the other season fairies from TGF. I was so excited! I wanted to color her with a frosty look but instead decided to use this Jolly by Golly paper and color her to match these. I really like her though so I plan to make a few more cards with her with some different colors I want to try on her. Okay so before I get any further into the card I have a confession...Im completely AR about color coordination. I stayed with SU for so long b/c I love their cs and dp and I knew which colors were in the dp. Since Ive been stamping their cs is just about all I've used. I do love some PTI white and bought their assorted pack when they released it so I like theirs also but other than a pack of Coredinations cs PTI and SU is the only cs I've ever bought. Like alot of others since the new IDA I decided to not sign it and no longer be a SU demo. So long story short after I pulled out this dp and colored up this fairy I realized I really didnt have any cs to match the dp!! GASP!! So I tried to find the closet match possible to what I had. I even went into SCS to try to see what cs others were pairing with it. What I ended up using is PTI aqua mist and ocean tides which are not great matches to the dp so needless to say AR color coordinator that I am I not too thrilled with this card. LOL! My buttony bow was not even being cooperative today! I think this sassy fairy is smirking at me!!LOL!! So I have some questions for you today not something I usually do but go with me here...what cs do you use the most? Do you buy your dp and hope you have cs that matches just b/c you like the dp and if you dont have cs to match what do you usually do?! I was going to just use like a cream colored cs base and not use any colored cs but I was out of it too! Ive also seen alot of companies releasing kits where you get dp, cs, and matching embellies all together so maybe I need to look into getting some of those!? Well since I've gone on and on and completely gotten sidetracked on my card I'll just list the supplies below.. Have a great day!!

ETA: I totally forgot to mention that I used another of Mercys fabulous sketches for this card!!

Meowy Christmas

Okay I dont usually say this about my cards but I just LOVE how this card turned out!! I think this HH kitty is the cutest in her Santa hat! I colored her using copics and decided to color her a pink hat instead of red. I used the out of the nestie technique for her hat and sponged some garden green ink around the image while it was still in the nestie. I added some frosted lace stickles to her hat too. I pulled out some MME dp my Mama gave me (gotta love her!!) to go with my kitty. The pink in the dp really is a closer match to PTI berry sorbet than it looks in the pic. I used Jens sfytt for my layout. I love this sketch too. Of course I had to add a buttony bow to it (Im so lovin these!LOL!) and some pewter dew drops. Thats it for me today! Hope you have had a great day! Bray lost one of his front teeth this morning so he can be singing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" soon!LOL!!

Paper: PTI berry sorbet, ga pacific white, MME dp

Santa, Horse and Pup

Todays featured stamper is Michele. I chose Michele's card here. Its been awhile since I played with my Whipper Snapper stamps so I chose one of her WS cards to case and changed the image. I kept the simple layout since this image is so large but I flipped it and added dp. I punched a half circle out of the image so my big snowflake buttony bow would fit. I also added a little piercing in the corner. This image was fun to color but let me tell you it took me forever to color!LOL!! Hubby was watching UFC last night so I colored it while I pretended to watch the fight with him!LOL! Have a great day!

Stamps: Santa, horse and pup- Whipper Snapper

Frosty Day Emma

Happy Friday!! Since Im feeling a little better today I decided to try to put together a card from the images I've colored up. I found the Diedrich Dare challenge this week and decided to play along with the sketch. I also played along with this weeks All that Scraps challenge to make a Christmas card but I went with the non traditional colors in this retired SU frosty day dp. I think the last time I used this dp I colored the hair orange too!LOL!! I love red/orange hair! Dontcha wish you could go to the salon and tell them okay I want yr04 first then yr07& yr09 then finish it off with a little e09!LOL!! Okay so maybe I need to back off the muscle relaxors a little!LOL!! Okay so back to the card of course the images are colored using copics and I added a little MS snow glitter to the tree but its hard to see in the pic. I also sponged bashful blue lightly around the edges of the nestie. Ive seen lots of Magnolia cards where they have an image in the background and the girl/boy popped up in front of it so I gave it a try with this card for a something a little different. What do you think!? Have a great weekend!! Hubby is off tomorrow so we plan to put up the tree, make some cocoa, and watch Christmas movies (and hopefully squeeze in some stamping time!).

Winter Trevor

If you visit my blog often you already I know I love me some Sugarplums and Swiss pixies!LOL! The winter releases of Emma and Trevor are so cute and Im still kickin myself for not getting them when I could preorder them! I just have a hard time buying something without seeing it first!! Im not very big on surprises!LOL! I colored Trevor one of the days I was bed bound and my hubby was nice enough to set me up a little coloring station in bed!LOL! Aint he sweet!?! He even knew which folder to grab that had all my Christmas dp in it. Score one for hubby!LOL! I thought Trevor would look cute paired with the dp with the hats. I think its Imaginesce. I used Mercys sketch for this week for my layout and added some piercing but kept the ribbon off since I wanted it to be for a boy and the sparkle on the dp is prolly pushing it!LOL! Have a great day!

Wassail Fairy

Sorry I havent posted in a couple of days. I slipped a disc in my back and it has NOT been fun!! Been in bed for 2 days so sitting at my desk to create was not happening! I made this card over the weekend sometime using Mercys sketch from last week and this adorable new image from All that Scraps. This cutie fairy is Holly Starshine and I just had to pair her with this holly dp from Wassail. I promise my next card I wont use this dp!LOL!! I had a hard time cutting the image out the nestie I wanted to use! It slipped when I went to emboss it so I ended up having to cut all the embossing off and used my ticket corner punch instead. I also colored some clear colored bling to match my dp. Lovin that still! I had to take the pic inside since we are having yucky rainy weather today so the pic is not the greatest but I wanted to be able to post something today! Hope you have a great night! Im heading back to bed since I seem to have overdone it at work today!
