Fall Trevor

I'm luvin this fall weather we are having in Georgia today!! I made this card a couple weeks ago and decided to post it today since we are having great fall weather. I used two of my new fave things for fall Sugarplums and recollections dp!LOL! I colored this pumpkin Trevor using copics (and I have no idea which ones!) I also added some ground and highlight and this time I tried it with my copics. I think I like using my prismacolor pencils for this instead. As I was typing this I realized my ribbon isnt straight!LOL! I didnt glue down the ends ribbon b/c its slightly hanging from the sides of the card. I didnt want to add a bow but I wanted something to cover up the seam of the dps so I just decided on ribbon with no bow. Just pretend its straight!lol! Hope you're having a great fall day!

Yummy Frogs

I had so much fun playing with yesterdays challenge that I made another. Can you believe I made 2 cards in one day!??!LOL! On this card I kept my cutesy style mainly b/c Im in love with this new PCS digital stamp! Look at the adorable frogs! Gotta love it! I HAD to have them! I usually always do sketches so I rarely try to come up with my own layout mainly b/c it takes me so long and when I do I get a brain freeze!LOL! So for this card I didnt use a sketch! It took me forever!LOL!! I think it turned out pretty cute though. I used all PTI colors since they have been sitting neglected lately and I finally got my V99 copic for plum pudding and wanted to try it out. Im also loving e25, e27, and e29 for brunette hair right now! Have a great weekend!

Damask Designs

Im waiting to go to the Dr today so I thought Id check out the challenge. Todays wt challenge is to step out of your box. Well anyone who visits my gallery or blog regularly knows Im a cutesy kinda girl and I love to color. I wanted to make a more elegant type card with no coloring so I decided to pull out this Damask PTI set I got at CHA and finally give it some ink. I usually dont feel like I can pull off elegant cards like some of my fave stampers do but Im pretty proud of how this turned out. I used 3 of the colors from this weeks color throwdown.

Stamps: Damask-PTI
Paper: chocolate chip, regal rose, old olive, pti white
Ink: regal rose, versamark, choc chip
Accessories: clear ep, chocolate Kaiser pearls, choc chip grosgrain ribbon, dimenisionals, sponge

Funny title huh!??!LOL! Its Emily's fault! When I saw the colors for todays color challenge I knew I had to play along. Ive had the in colors since they came out but Ive only used them once so today was a great time to play. I colored up this adorable Sugarplum Witch Emma using copics. I saw on Paula's blog (the queen of all things prismacolors!LOL!) where she used the perwinkle prismacolor pencil for shading and LOVED how it looked so I tried it today. I also added stickles to her the web on her shirt but since its not quite dry yet it looks kinda funny in the pic! Sorry! I used Amy R's sketch for my layout. Sorry for the quickie post we are heading out the door to go look at a house. Cross your fingers!

Swiss Pixie Pippi

I was excited to see Heather as featured stamper today. I love her gallery! Congrats Heather! I cased her tank card. I kept the layout and changed everything else. I also left off the sentiment because my image is larger. I used this adorable swiss pixie I colored using copics. I added some yellow stickles to her wings and used prismacolor pencils and gamsol for the ground and highlights. I get caught up on old olive for fall so I wanted to play around with another green for fall and remebered I had this retired SU dp that used sage shadow. I think she turned out cute!! I also cute her feet out of the nestie-first time trying that and loved the result! Have a great Sunday!

Witchin You a Happy Halloween

Okay so I know I said I had a HH scarecrow card to share with you today but ummm...me, my son, and a glass of iced tea just didnt mix with my card yesterday!LOL! I had my card on my table putting some finishing touches on it and had just lifted my cup to take a sip and here comes my son who thinks running is the only way to get somewhere and he bumped me and the cup went all over the card!! So I ask him why he spilled the tea on my card and his reply was "Mama I didnt spill it you did...you were holding the cup!"(roll eyes) What do you say to that?!?LOL! So long story short the scarecrow went for a swim!LOL!

Instead today I have this cute Whipper Snapper image to share with you. Now I intended to give the halloween cards a break today and just do a fall card but Jeanne S posted the spooky colors challenge and I HAD to play along. I pulled out my new Recollections halloween dp to pair with my witch. I kept the layout simple since the image is so large and Jeanne wanted us to limit to 4 embellies. I used 4 silver brads and I did add some orange peel stickles to her hair. Hope you have a great weekend!! I have LOTS of laundry to do again this weekend! Woopppeeee!LOL!

Trick or Treat w/MFT

So are you tired of Halloween cards yet?!?LOL! I hope not because I have quite a few more to share with you. Halloween cards are always so fun to make! This is a card I made about a month ago that I havent shared with you yet. I got this Whos that girl set at CHA. I colored the image using copics, prismacolor pencils, and gamsol. I added the walkway and its a little uneven but oh well!LOL! My girls were pink bunnies last year for Halloween so I just had to color Flopsey pink! This is Madisons card so I went with a pink, purple and black combo her fave. Dontcha just love those flourescent hotfix rhinestones!?! I got those at CHA too at the MFT booth. I also added some melon mambo polka dot ribbon since I used the swiss dots ef. You can never have too many polka dots!LOL!

The kids loved the fire dept field trip today but Im totally wiped out!LOL!! So I plan to have a mellow night tonight. BTW I do have a scarecrow card to share w/you (Dawn!LOL!) tommorrow. Have a great night!

I still had some dp left on my desk from my mummy Trevor card so I decided to use it up since it was the last of that striped dp (pout!). I used todays sketch for my layout and as I was taking the pic it started raining so one shot was all I got!LOL! What is it with me and pics this week?!?LOL!! Mummy Trevor

New stamps and new tunes on the mp3 player...nuthin betta!!LOL!!
I love the adorable sugarplums from All that scraps! I have not made a card yet with these cuties I havent liked! The beachies are what broke me down and I had to order then after playing with them I was hooked!LOL!! So when the new fall/halloween images came out I HAD to have them! You know there are just those stamps that are just right for your style and you dont even hesitate on putting in your cart and hitting that continue button!LOL! If you're like me you have several carts *saved* at several different stamp companies that you just end up talking yourself out of especially when you look at your stack of stamps that you havent even inked up yet!LOL!! Im terrible!
Okay onto the card...(finally huh?!LOL!) I colored mummy trevor using copics and added a green glow with prismacolor pencils. I sponged some pumpkin pie around my new deckled rectangles. I think they are so cute for halloween just because they have that "broken" look to them! I mixed some old halloween dp from SU (last years ghostly greetings and the year befores I think!) Its hard to see in the pic but the black dp has spiderwebs on it. I used Jens sfytt for my layout. This is really so much cuter irl! I had to take the pic at night and since I still only have one bulb its not the best pic! Looking at my card I think I will pop Trevor up then pop up the spider to give it a little more dimension. Have a great night!!

Monster Hugs for Shannan

Congrats Shannan todays featured stamper!! I love Shannans gallery and have quite a few of her cards in my favorites so I cased this Rawrrrr card. I dont have that Bella image (pout!) so I used this cutie monster from a set coming soon from I heart papers called Silly Monsters. I pulled out some halloween dp from last year and colored his tummy to match the stripes in the dp. I used prismacolor pencils for the ground and sponged summer sun around the circle nestie. This will be a card for my step dad from the kids. They love hugs especially Papas group hugs!LOL! So I thought the monster hugs sentiment would be cute!

Im so glad to be back home. Tonight I have a card to share with you I made a few weeks ago. I used MFT I heart books set. I got this set at CHA. It was a must have for me because my kids LOVE to read. I think this bookworm is just soooo cute!! Alana loves to play the computer game bookworm too so thats what she thought it was when she saw the card!LOL! I colored the worm and books using copics using the colors from my MM dp and added ground using prismacolor pencils. Crystal effects were added to the glasses for a little shine. I sponged some versamagic sage ink to the top while my image was still in the nestie. I used my nail to distress the edges of the dp for an worn look. To finish off my card I added a sentiment and finally found a use for the library clips I have!!LOL! I also added two mini buttons. I love these tiny buttons! So cute! I love how this turned out!!

All ears for Lori

Todays featured stamper is my sweet friend Lori! Yayyy Lori!! I had to case one of Lori's High hopes card since thats how we met on SCS! Lori and I also worked on THDT together. Mama and I actually got a chance to meet Lori irl at CHA and we had a blast! We laughed so much! Heres a pic of us after a long day!!LOL!!

Okay now onto the card...I chose Lori's We're all ears card. I used the same image and colored up the crows with copics and added some shadows using prismacolor pencils. I loved how Lori colored some of the kernels on the corn different colors so of course I added that too! I changed the layout to the wsc96. It was perfect since I wanted to use some new Recollections dp I picked up at Michaels yesterday. I stamped the sentiment from SU Lots of thoughts in more mustard and punched out with the ww punch and added a bridal flower. I added some paper piercing to finish off my card. This card will be on its way to Lori Tuesday to celebrate her special day!!

Boo-tiful scrapling

I warned you I'd be back today!LOL! This is my first scrapling and I thought it would be perfect for a little card to slip in my kids backpacks! I just love Halloween and have really been ready to make some fun Halloween cards so I couldnt resist using this set coming soon from I *heart* papers. Sorry Kate I just had to!!LOL! When Kate sent me this set I just giggled! Such a cute and fun set. Look for the announcement for the two new Jannie Ho sets on my blog on Sept. 8! I outlined the ghost using copics w1 and w3 and then smoothed the lines with the colorless blender. I popped up the ghost and stamped the sentiment onto the SEI lime cs. That sentiment cracks me up! too cute! I also added some gingham ribbon, white brads, and some distressing to finish off my card. Who knew I could get all that on a little 1 1/2 x 4 scrapling?!!LOL! I think I'll stick a green lollipop on the inside with a glue dot and Alana will just love it!! Have a great day!

Stamps: Silly monsters
Paper: black, white, sei lime cs
Ink: memento black, copics w1, w3, r22, colorless blender
Accessories: gingham ribbon, MM white brads,

I love reading all of your comments..makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!LOL!

I was so glad to see Julias sanded challenge today. I love to sand the edges of my dp and I needed to stamp!!LOL! I colored up this sweet Singing Catrina image using copics (I had to get this image since my girls are both Hannah Montana crazy!) I had a hard time trying to match that razzleberry! Geesh!!LOL! I used primsacolor pencils for the shadows and sponged the edges with crushed curry. If you look real hard you can see I used Jens sfytt for this week but you have to look hard!LOL! It feels so good to stamp today even if I only got to do it b/c I had a child home sick from school today.
