Fs95 Mike and Ike

Okay so I gave you fair warning you would be seeing more of Mike!LOL!

Congrats to Dawn todays featured stamper. Dawn has a wonderful gallery and is super sweet!! I cased Dawns card here. I love this Mike and Ike image!! I kept Dawns layout b/c I thought it was perfect for this image. I used a snowflake instead of a circle and changed the colors. I colored the image using gamsol magic and added diamond stickles to the snow and snowflake. I used some ribbon from SU theatre ribbon originals. I think its retired but Im not 100% sure.

We didnt get to pull out Christmas decorations yesterday it had rained here all weekend long!! We did go see Bolt yesterday and the kids LOVED it! It was a cute movie! Have a great day!

I love this adorable Whipper snapper image fresh snowfall but I love all whipper snapper images!LOL! I colored the snowman using gamsol magic. I added waterfall stickles to parts of the snowman and snow. I used my circle nesties to cut and emboss the circles. The snowman is popped up on dimensionals. This was a really fun sketch to work with! I added a paper pierced frame and ribbon with a pumpkin pie brad from Pink Hedgehog Papercrafts for my embellishments.

We are going to see Bolt today and then pull out our Christmas decorations. Have a great day!!

Tecc44 Wintergreen Mike

I finally got to do Taylors sketch on Friday!! While we were watching movies last night I colored up some images. I love this Whipper snapper image (you will be seeing more of him!LOL!). Mike is sooo cute!! I saw a card Denise made awhile back and had to have this image!LOL! I colored Mike using gamsol magic and outlined him with copic marker bg10 cool shadow. I used my nesties to cut and emboss the circle. I also embossed the dp on this card which is something Ive been wanting to try. I used the snowflake ef. Its hard to see in the pic but its really cute and something I will be doing again!

While shopping with my Mom one day last week I found this Martha Stewart snowflake punch and snow glitter. I love it!! (told u to get some Mama!!) I added some bling to the center of my snowflake. I sponged all the edges with basic gray. I dont know why Ive been on a sponging kick lately! Have a great weekend!

Merry Penguin

Im not so good at the limited supply challenge but I gave it a go today!LOL! I realized after I had finished my card I still cheated!! I was only supposed to use 3 layers! Oops!! Oh well!! Throw me in jail challenge police!LOL!
Todays challenge is to use an animal image (no more than 3 stamps) and you have to use pink in your card. No more than 3 embellishments or 3 layers. I remembered the 3 embellishment, stamps , and pink part! I pulled out my neglected Merry Muffin set. I love this set it has some of my fave Stampendous images and the cutest sentiments in it! I pulled out this fun KI memories dp b/c it has pink to pair with my penguin. I colored the penguin cupcake using gamsol magic and outlined with copic cool gray no.1 marker. I added dew drops and ribbon from Joanns for my embellishments.
Hope yall had a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday!! We had a great day!! I even went shopping this morning with Mama something we've never done before and of course she went reluctantly until she found out Staples had a monitor for $100!LOL! Have a great day!

Pour some sugar on me

Sorry...had to do it!LOL! I sang the song the entire time I was making this card! I needed a break from cleaning and cooking so I made another card for the sketch challenge. On this card I used a sneaky peek from Treehouse stamps. Both of the images I used will be released on Friday Nov. 28. We will be having a release party so come join in on the fun!! This is an individual image and also has a sentiment (Sweet as sugar) that is an individual that I used on the inside of the card which I couldnt get a pic of b/c my batteries died. Sorry!! I think thats why my photo is kinda blurry.
Okay so I made this card in under 15 minutes! Yayyy me!!LOL! I colored the sugar bag with copic makers. I also used some kraft prints for the first time on this card. I love them!!! I think the button kinda throws everything off so Ive already taken it off!LOL! But you tell me what you think!! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Birthday Heather!!!!

Todays is Heather's (owner of H & M) bday!! All the DT memebers are making her a bday card and we are havinga Bday Blog hop for Heather!! I used todays sketch for my card and a cute set called The Cats meow. I love this fun set! I colored the cat using gamsol magic. The dp I paired with my cat is from Autumn vine I think this design looks like cat paw prints!LOL! To see the other DT memebers creations start hopping....
Have fun hopping!!!

Ellie going really vanilla

Todays colors are going gray, very vanilla, and really rust. I pulled out my scraps of fall flowers dp and found this floral design. I needed an image that I could color gray and I remeberd Ellie!! This is the first time Ive colored her! Isnt she adorable?!?! Thanks Shannah!! For my vanilla I used vanilla bean cs coming soon from Treehouse stamps. I sponged all edges with going gray. My going gray brads are from Pink hedgehog papercrafts. I love em!!! The button is from a pack I got from Walmart and I used some ribbon from Joanns in my button. I wish I would have had a smaller button but this the only size I had left of this color.
Today is one of the days I just about gave up on my card!LOL! Well actually not making the card but trying to load it!! I dont know why but for some reason every pic I took of my card was lopsided!! Well my photo editing program kept freezing up!! So I gave up and Ellie will just be lopsided today!LOL! She looks like shes having one of those days too!LOL!

Christmas Wish List

Congrats to Elizabeth todays featured stamper!! I cased Elizabeths card here. I was inspired by the notebook paper to use this Make a list set by Treehouse stamps. My super creative Mom thought of this set and I LOVE it!! I think its genius!LOL!! I always have family call asking what to get the kids for Christmas so instead I will have each of the kids make their own list to send it out and bypass all the phone calls!LOL!! This is Alanas list and I think its adorable how she misspelled some of things. I think its a great keepsake! There are several other options for lists in this set....more sneak peeks to come later!! Come join us for the release party on Friday Nov. 28.

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow...

Olivia wants snow for Christmas!LOL! Today my Mom is hosting the color challenge since Ash is getting ready to go out of town so of course I had to play along! The colors for today are cameo coral, riding hood, red, choc chip, and vanilla. Well I changed the vanilla to white (just not a big vanilla fan!) I also added in some close to cocoa. The colors today were perfect also for the inspiration challenge. I used this photo for my inspiration. For my layout I used Taylors tecc43.
Doesnt Olivia look cozy!?!?LOL! I colored Olivia using gamsol magic and outlined with copic cool gray no.1 marker. I stamped the sentiment "let it snow" 3xs on the close to cocoa strip. I stamped the sentiment in the middle first added a comma and then stamped the sentiment on each side of the middle sentiment. I added two felt flurries and a coral brad to the end of the strip which ended up covering the 3rd let it snow but oh well!LOL! I added a quickutz photo corner and chocolate brads from Pink Hedgehop Papercrafts (LOVE THEM!!)
We have a family dinner today so I have to start cooking (yippeee!LOL!) and get the kids ready! Have a great day!

Christmas Favorites

Happy hump day!! Heres my card for todays sketch challenge. As soon as I seen the sketch I knew I wanted to use the curvy label nestabilities. Mama just got these and I took them from her to play with while she was gone shes expecting them back tommorrow (insert evil grin here!). I usually dont view the gallery until AFTER Ive made my card for many reasons. Usually if I see someone else has used an idea I was thinking of I will go a different direction or I end up casing someone not really meaning too. KWIM?!?! Well I decided to peek at the gallery today and saw quite a few cards using this curvy label punch but I was determined to use it anyway! I also used some of my new goodies from Jacksonbelle (wassail dp and ribbon).

I pulled out my Treehouse stamps Christmas favorites set. I noticed this stocking was uninked and I couldnt have that!LOL! Im really glad I did! This is such a cute image and I love it with the Basic Grey wassail dp. I stamped the stocking twice onto Pti white and colored using gamsol magic. I cut out the heel, toe, and top of the stocking and popped up for paper tole. I also used some of my new Coordinations cs on my card! LOVE it!! This card almost ended up in the trash a couple of times but Im glad I stuck with it! Im pretty happy with it now! Have a great night!!

Meowy Christmas

I love this adorable stamp from High hopes! Well I love cats period and this cat is just super cute!! Todays color challenge is kraft, red and black. I just got this super yummy ribbon in today from Jacksonbelle embellishments (super fast shipping!!) so I had to include it! This is the first time Ive ordered with them and I was very impressed! Thanks Lindsey!
I love coloring on kraft paper especially with images with white. Its so pretty! I colored the image using gamsol magic. I added sakura silver pen to the hat. This weeks HH challenge is to use brads and buttons. I added some silver MM glittered brads and a button (from Walmart) on top of my felt flurry.
I had to take my pic outside. My light box is having a bad day!LOL! I'll be posting later afternoon again all this week. Is it Thanksgiving holidays yet?!?LOL! Have a great day!

Ski Slope Hanna

Todays featured stamper is Kendra. I cased Kendras card here. I love this Hanna image! I pulled out my ski slope dp to pair with Hanna and used the colors from the dp to color the image using gamsol magic. Dontcha love the red boots!?!LOL! Okay so I have to explain this. I knew I wanted Hannas clothes to be red and brown but I couldnt decide what color I wanted to color the boots and after I had already colored her hair, tree trunk, and skirt brown I needed some red to balance it out a little. So I went with red boots and while I was coloring her red boots I thought about Footloose and Ariels red boots!LOL! So now Ive been singing Footloose songs in my head this morning!LOL!
Okay back on to the card now....I outlined the image using copic cool gray no. 1. I added some stardust stickles to the star and snow. I kept the layout really simple since the image is so large. I punched two washers using 1/2" circle punch added some bling (it looks like one of them shifted a little). You know Hanna has to have some bling! Have a great day!!

Tinkerbell

Okay so I covered quite a few challenges on this card now the challenge is remeber which ones!LOL! To start with I used H & M stamps Fairy tales set for the OCC silhouette challenge. Silke is the guest designer for the OCC this week so I wanted to use more of her style for my card. Silke uses alot of white in her cards and they look so striking!! I used Beates wsc66 for my layout. I used the colors in the PCP color challenge hosted by my friend Ashley. As soon as I saw the colors I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The colors Ashley chose this week are certainly celery, old olive, white, and vanilla. Well I cant use white and vanilla on a card!!! It makes me break out in hives!LOL! I just cant do it so I decided to use one and went with white. Maybe its b/c I been oogling the DD gallery all today but the first thing that popped in my head when I saw the colors was Tinkerbell and I knew the fairy tales set would be perfect so I pulled it out and saw it had a never never land sentiment. It was just meant to be!LOL! So my card also is for the DD central theme this month. My girls are la la over tinkerbell!LOL! Alana reads the Tinkerbell books all the time and they both love the movie! I think the colors in my card also fit for todays inspiration challenge gotta check that out! So now that Ive babbled on and on Im gonna say bye!LOL! Hope you have a great night!

Rock on!

Im sorry this is late posting! I scheduled the post and put the wrong time in and we just got home from a day of shopping. Thats what I get for being in a hurry!LOL! I made this card for yesterdays acrylic challenge. I used H & M acrylick stamps. This set is called Rock on and has some great images for teens! I love using the bold images for fast cards. I made this card in less than 20 minutes which is super good for me!LOL! I used Jersey shore dp b/c I love the colors in it and I thought they would be great for this teen card. I distressed some of the edges and added some paper piercing. I used H & M sketch challenge for this week since its been forever since Ive played along. I really like the layout for this fun card. To play along with the sketch click here. Remeber you dont have to use H & M stamps but its a great way to use them if you have them!!!
Id also like to say a big Congrats and welcome to our new guest designers at H & M stamps. Click the above link to check them out!! Have a great day!

Turkey Talk

This image cracks me up!! I made this card for this weeks sketch challenge. I colored the whipper snapper image (I think its called Tom turkey) using gamsol magic. I outlined him with copic warm gray no.1 marker. The background is stamped with the retired SU chicken wire background and sponged with close to cocoa.

I forgot to take a pic of the inside but I made this card for my Dad and he has a great sense of humor (most of the time!) so I like to make funny cards for him. So I wrote gobble, gobble, gobble...etc then wrote turkey talk for Happy Thanksgiving! I think he will get a kick out of it!

The kids awars banquet was cute last night. The girls did a pom pom routine. They were so cute!! I dont know about yall but Im so glad its Friday! Lookin forward to chillin out with the kids tonight and coloring some images! Have a great night!

Wanted Snowman

Really quick post today! Sorry! We have the kids awards banquet tonight for football and cheerleading. Is it Friday yet?!?!LOL!
I made this card for todays ways to use it challenge. Kim challenged us to use watercolor paper. My fave thing to use with watercolor paper is my SU markers!! Ive had this High hopes image since last year I just bought it too late to use much for the holidays so I made sure and get a pack of the Outlaw dp to pair with him before it retired. I had alot of fun making this card!! Isnt he the cutest little dirty snowman ever?!?!LOL! I also added some sparkle to him for the HH challenge this week. I added my sakura gold pen to his badge (I inteded to go over it with stickles but I always make that the last step so I dont make a mess and touch it!LOL!) well I forgot to do it before I took the pic so just imagine stardust stickles over the badge too!
Recipe:

Ink: black stazon, creamy caramel, SU marker: pumpkin pie, really rust, sage shadow, creamy carmel, close to cocoa, choc chip, sahara sand

Percy needs shades!

I know its bright but I had to do it!LOL! I got this rainbow sherbert dp in and I just had to use it!I love the colors in it and they were perfect to pair with my Joyride percy from H & M stamps. I even found a prima and matching brad for the colors in my stash. It was just meant to be!LOL! I used todays sketch for my layout. The Percy image is colored using gamsol magic. I used the apricot appeal color I think its Spanish orange in the prismacolor pencils for shadowing so it looks like the sun is glowing all around him. It makes me warm looking at it on this cold dreary day we are having here! Oh and dont you just have to have a car like Percys!??!LOL! Have a great day!

Superheros Can do it!!

It took me awhile to decide what I wanted to do with todays colors. I wasnt in a Christmas card mood! I've had these Billy images for awhile and decided to make Brayden a card for a BIG test they have coming up after Christmas holidays. He loves superheros (that he calls fight men!LOL!) but what little boy doesnt!?! I colored Billy and his dog using gamsol magic. I wanted to make a "glow" around them but my copic marker wasnt working with me this morning so the glow didnt turn out exactly the way I wanted! I used a sentiment from H & M stamps A time for caring. It was perfect for this card!! I added piercing under the sentiment and along the bottom of the card (dont look too close I think my mat shifted!LOL!) I used Jens sfytt for my layout. I love this fun layout Jen is a layout genius!LOL!

Recipe:

Stamps: Billy, A time for caring

Ink: stazon black, basic gray

Paper: certainly celery prints/cs, textured basic gray, pacific point

Sledding Fun

Hope everyone is having a great day! I had to work again today so I had to wait until after school to post. I made this card over the weekend for Beates wsc65. I used this super cute image from Treehouse stamps. This is the first time this little guy has seen ink! Hes so cute!! It was fun to color! I colored the fox first with a chestnut color then went over him with a brown to try to get the color more "fox like".
I had an idea for this card but it didnt quite turn out the way I wanted. I also used alot more white on this card than I normally would use. Ive been on a white kick lately!LOL! I colored the fox image using gamsol magic. I outlined the image with my copic cool gray no.1 marker. I added snow to the image and the bottom portion of the card using tulip white puffy paint. The dp I used is from a Christmas stack from Walmart.
Recipe:

Dp Inspired Tree

Congrats to Wendy todays featured stamper!! Wendy has a beautiful butterfly filled gallery but I decided to case her Season of friendship card here. Ive had this set for about a month and it hasnt seen ink yet! Its been awhile since I made a card with no coloring.
I used a piece of KI company dp (last years Christmas) to inspire my colors. I had to had some sparkle so I went over the tree and branches with stardust stickles and added stickles to the snowflake centers. I love making cards with non traditional Christmas colors especially snowflake cards!
We took the kids to the fair last night and they had a BLAST!! They were so cute! My cheeks were hurting last night from laughing and smiling so much. A great feeling!LOL! I ended up having to ride with Alana some b/c she was too tall for the kiddie rides but not quite brave enough to ride the bigger rides by herself!LOL! Man I forgot how the rides jerk you around so much! I hurt this morning!LOL! We were riding the ride Himalya which used to be called the Thunderbolt and I was telling Alana that mine and Daddys first date was the fair and he held my hand and kissed me on the cheek while we were on the Thunderbolt. The look in her eyes was sooo cute!LOL!! But it was kinda funny riding the ride with our daughter. Have a great day!
Recipe:
Stamps: Season of friendship
Ink: basic gray, orchid opulence, pixie pink, almost amethyst, baja breeze
Paper: textured orchid opulence, baja breeze, almost amethyst, pti white
Other: stardust stickles, cutter kit, pixie pink ribbon, circle punches

Holly Cupcake

Im back and feeling much better this morning! I made this quick card before we head out the door for our last football game. After the game we are going to a local arts and crafts fair.

As soon as I seen the OCC challenge this morning I knew I had to use my Treehouse Christmas cupcake image. Since I used a cupcake image I decided to use Taylors cupcake sketch challenge for my layout.

I colored the cupcake using gamsol magic. I also used the copic cool gray no1 marker for shadows. I pulled out some dp and textured cs from last Christmas I got from Walmart. I cant remeber the name of it! I added silver sheer ribbon and silver brads for embellishments.

Heres a peek at the inside of the card too...

I love this sentiment!!

Ink: versafine onyx
Paper: PTI white, christmas stack from Walmart
Other: prismacolor pencils, gamsol, copic cool gray no1 marker, silver sheer ribbon, silver brads, scallop border punch, paper piercer, white gel pen, cropadile

My trick or treaters

Doesnt Alana look happy!?!LOL! She was mad b/c we werent going where her friends were so she was pouting. She got over though! Brayden ran around all night doing his best ninja moves and the girls were bunny hopping everywhere!LOL!

Fs91 The Cats Meow

Congrats to Becca Stamps todays featured stamper! I cased her card here. I changed the stamps but kept the image a cat. I loved her coloring and out of the box or circle on her card!! I changed the colors and dp since her card was a halloween card. Instead I used Washington apple dp since I still had it out on my desk from yesterday. I used alot more designs on this card than I would normally use!! I usually on use one maybe 2 designs of dp on my card so this was a stretch for me!LOL!

I love orange cats!! My fave pet Ive ever had was a orange cat named Rusty. He was a mess!! Isnt this cat from H & M adorable?!!? Im sure going to have fun with this set!!

Group Hug

I finally got a chance today to play with the HH challenge from Sunday. You can play along here. This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge. I have a hard time with wavy borders!! I messed up 3 strips before I gave up and left off the border. The Bo bunny ruler has been on my wish list for awhile but I keep talking myself out of it!LOL! Today is also the OCC challenge and my friend Lori is a guest designer this week!! This weeks challenge is a coloring challenge! Right up my alley!LOL! I made this card for Laurie's and her family. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. You can read more about it here. A group hug always makes everything better doesnt it!??!
I colored the Group hug bears using gamsol magic and outlined with copic cool gray no.1. I used my oval nesties to cut and emboss the oval. I finally got a B plate to replace the one I broke!! I used my new Washington apple dp (Love it!!) and used the colors from it. I decided to use a strip of cs instead of ribbon and popped the sentiment up over it. I added some faux stitching with my pumpkin pie marker and silver brads for embellies.
Im so glad that Oct is over!!LOL!! I was counting down the days! We only have 1 more football games and practice left so I can finally have my Saturdays back too (at least for a couple of months)!! Dont forget about the H & M blog hop!! Have a great day.
