Really Breezy Pete

With todays colors I couldnt resist to pull out some of my neglected cute fall images! So I pulled out HH Pumpkin patch Pete and colored him up! Im trying to finish up my fall cards this week so I can get them mailed out.

I colored Pete using gamsol magic and outlined him with cool gray no.1 marker. I need to get the warm grey b/c I think it would look better with the fall colors! This card is a case card. The OCC is having a challenge to case the OCC girls so I couldnt pass up the opportunity to case one of my fave OCC girls Denise! I cased her friendly scarecrow card. I changed the image to the HH Pete, I changed the colors to cc186 colors. I left off the dp and used the flannel plaid background tone on tone instead. I added the stitching and used the horizontal slot punch for my ribbon instead of the bow in the corner like Denise did. Since I was casing Denise I made sure to stamp on the inside of the card!LOL! I stamped flannel plaid in baja breeze(stamped off once) onto white and added the sentiment from H and M's Old Fashioned hayride. I love the senitment! "hanging around friend thinking of you cause Ive got nothing else to do!" LOL! I'll be back later with my kids goodie post.

Teacher "gift"card and candle

As promised this week I will be featuring halloween goodies. Since I have 3 little ones in school I have plenty to make!LOL! This is what I made for the teachers. I found these cute black candles at Michaels on mine and Mamas shopping trip. Its called witches brew and smells like black licorice. I will not eat the stuff but I love how it smells!! I made a band for the candle with green galore and tangerine tango. I added the sentiment "Happy Hauntings" around the band above the yummy ribbon I also found at Michaels. I colored the picture image from H & M's fright night w/copic markers and added the bat punch covered in crystal stickles. For the "gift" card I found on Kirstens blog! So cute! I stamped the bookcase image and colored w/copics. I also added the bats and sentiment "snakes, snails and bats" b/c the inside reads...special ingredients mixed with a little bit of boo! Now for the gift card which I have to explain b/c I forgot to take a pic and its already getting dark here! If you click on the link above it will take you to Kirsten blog and she has a pic of the inside of hers....anyway I found these sour gummy bats at the dollar store and they are orange and black so I put some in a baggie and attached to the inside of the card and theres still a place for you to write a special note! I will post a pic of the inside in the am. So I have 6 of these to give to teachers! I have one made so far!LOL! Guess I better get busy!LOL! J/K! They are super easy! Have a great day! I'll be back tommorrow to show you what Im making for the kids to give out in their class....and dont forget Wed is the blog hop!!

Jugglin Bday

Do you love High hopes?!?! I do!LOL! High hopes now has a blog and challenges. The first challenge is to make a birthday card. I used this super cute clown Juggles (Thanks Shannah!)
I colored Juggles clown with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. My fave technique! I also added some highlights with my white gel pen. I pulled the colors from the jersey shore dp. I used Taylors cupcake challenge #35 for my layout. I didnt get a chance to play along Friday but I really liked the layout so I did it anyway!LOL!
We had a great weekend here. My Mom and I went shopping Friday and I found an adorable Inkadinkado stamp set I cant wait to get inky! We had a bad experience w/HL though (actually our first one!) and we ate at a restaraunt my cousin raves about. Yuck!!! It wasnt for me!LOL! But other than that it was great to spend the day with my shopping/stamping bud!LOL! See I have to take her w/me to help control my spending!LOL! She always gives me these looks that says "um...you know Danny's gonna kill you!"LOL! So I know to STOP!LOL! I know people hate when I go into a store. See I put all kind of stuff in my buggy but by the time Ive reached the register Ive taken 1/2 of it out!LOL!
I'll be back in a bit with my halloween goodie!

Masking Fall Terrore

Congrats to Terry aka Terrore3 todays featured stamper!! As I was browsing through Terrys gallery I came across this card and knew it was the one I wanted to case. My mojo has been out the door this week!LOL! Just about everything Ive made ended up in the kids card stash. See I have a little bit of my Mama in me and I hate to throw things away or waste!LOL! My kids love using my images and cards to make their own so I have a little container that I put images I didnt stamp quite right or cards that I didnt like and they can make their cards for their friends. So they dont go to waste!

As you can see Im still in fall mode over here! So for this week I will be featuring fall and halloween cards to finish them up and next week we'll move on to Christmas! H and M will be having a blog hop on Oct.1 featuring fall goodies to be sure to stop by on Oct. 1!! Okay on to the card...I wanted to use H and M's sketch challenge from yesterday. You can play along here (remeber you dont have to use H and M stamps but if you've got them why not use them!!). I used some of the colors in the color challenge but not all of them. For my main image I did alot of masking which I dont normally do! I stamped the two small pumpkins and masked them and stamped the larger pumpkin so it was behind the two smaller pumpkins. I then masked all of the pumpkins and stamped the hay bales on each side of the pumkins. I masked the hay bales and stamped one more on each side. Then I masked the hay bales and pumpkins and stamped the leaves. whoooshh!! told you it was alot of masking!LOL! I colored the image using primsacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. I added an outlined using the cool gray no. 1 copic marker. The main image is layered on ruby red. My pumpkin pie layer is sponged w/pumpkin pie ink and then choc chip. I used fiskars circles to cut a 3 1/2" circle and stamped w/sanded background tone on tone. I sponged the circle w/old olive and then choc chip. I added faux stitching with my choc chip marker around the circle for the OCC stitching challenge. I added twill ribbon that I stamped the leaves on and antique copper brads for embellishments. The card base is stamped tone on tone with weathered background and sponged with ruby red and then choc chip. Have a great day!

Charmed Trick or treaters

Todays ways to use it is CHARMS. I actually only have a few charms so I decided to make my own for this card. I started this card as this weeks MFTsc but it didnt end up that way!LOL!

I love this trick or treaters image from MFT fright night! They are sooo cute! I colored the image using copic and primsacolor markers and outlined w/cool gray no.1 marker. Do you see my new goodie on my card?!?! My super sweet Mom got me the new spider web ef!!! Its an early bday present since my bday is so close to Halloween she gave it to me early so I can play!!! I used some textured cs from HL for my embossed background and I love how some of the white core shows where it embossed. So I added a little distressing to the dp also. Its hard to see but the dp I used is the black spider web dp from last years halloween dp creepy crawly. Its looks really cute IRL!

Okay to make my charm I used poly shrink/shrinky dinks I cant remeber which one since I threw the package away but they are basically the same. You stamp on the side that is NOT shiny! I always forget this!LOL! Instead of cutting mine out this time I used my 1" circle punch. This is important! Always punch your hole for your jump ring to go in BEFORE you shrink your image! If not the hole will close up and you aint getting nothin in it!LOL! What I usually do is punch my hole then use my paper piercer to hold my image down as it shrinks and to keep the hole from closing up. I love to watch it shrink!LOL!! Its so cool lookin!LOL! I know Im easily amazed!LOL! have a great day!

Bwc Jolly Old Snowman

Of all the times for my computer to go crazy on me it chose this week!!! Sorry I havent been able to post but Ive had computer issues since Sunday night. Everytime I get on the internet I get an error message and my computer kicks me out! I think Ive got the problem fixed now (hopefully!) Todays Brainwave challenge is a color challenge. I love these colors!! I combined Ashleys bwc with todays sketch challenge for my Jolly Old snowman sneak peek. This was an odd sketch for me! It may grow on me as the day goes on though!LOL! The snowman and tree images are from Treehouse stamps and will be available this Friday!!
I love this snowman he has a country look to him and I thought the colors worked perfectly for a country Christmas card. I colored the snowman w/prismacolor pencils limepeel, crimson lake, and dark brown and blended w/gamsol. I added copic bg-10 for the snowman and accents on the snowman. I outlined the image with cool gray no.1 marker. I stamped the kiwi kiss panel with the trees and the riding hood red panel with flannel plaid. I added 3 dew drops and wide choc chip ribbon for my embellishments. I started to add sparkle to the image but decided not. Ive used my horizontal slot punch more in the past two weeks than I ever have!LOL! Do you do that to??! Get on kicks w/your punches and tools? Have a great day!!

Chicken Butt

LOL! This cracks me up! (no pun intended!LOL!) I got this image and sentiments from the PIF thread. Thanks Suzanne! When I saw Beates wsc I knew what I wanted to do!

I colored the chicken using Copic and prismacolor markers and I really love how the coloring turned out on this image! I used real red pallette of prints for the dp. Look Denise I even decorated the INSIDE of the card!LOL! This actually went in the mail Friday morning to a friend of mine I think will get a kick out of this card! Have a great day!

Cupcake Mouse

Today is featured stamper day! My fave challenge but I dont have a featured stamper card to share today b/c IM featured stamper!LOL!!! When I looked last night I hadto read the post twice!LOL!Thank you all for your sweet comments! Its been a great day!

I do have some cards to share with you today Ive made over the weekend and couldnt load b/c I was having trouble w/my blog. This is the card I made for Taylors cupcake challenge. I got this Whipper snapper image sometime last month and have been wanting to use it but havent had a chance until this weekend. Isnt he the cutest!?!? I colored the image using gamsol magic and added highlights with my white gel pen. I used Ki Memories dp b/c I love the colors in it. Theres just something about a pink/orange combo I LOVE!! The ribbon is actually pink passion but looks much darker in the pic. Its a cloudy day here so not great for pics!

The kids had their first football/cheerleading game yesterday. They were so cute!! I have the cutest pic of Brayden to share!LOL! I'll have to wait and share the story w/the pic!! Have a great day!

Leafy Bear Hugs

I bought this adorable set from ATS about a month ago. Its so cute but this set is more summery so I havent had a chance to use it since Ive been in full fall mode!LOL! So today I combined the bear and HM fall set Leaf load of fun for my beary fall scene! I pulled the colors and prints from the inspiration challenge today and used Jens sfytt for my layout. I added circle chipboard for todays OCC challenge.
I colored the image using gamsol magic and added some grass w/my Old olive marker. My blog is acting up today so I will be back later w/my HM challenge card.

Cased White out

I have a 5 minute card for you today! Sorry this is a late post but I had to work this morning and I overslept so no stamping time!LOL!
Denise posted this card this week for the colors challenge and I faved it to case. Todays challenge was the perfect day to case it! We were to use white! Alot of white!LOL! I stamped the Christmas tree image from Treehouse stamps new release Christmas Favorites. I outlined the tree w/my prismacolor pencil and blended w/gamsol. As Im typing this I realize I cheated a tad on the challenge b/c I used black ink for the sentiment! "oops!" Maybe the challenge police will be forgiving since its Friday!LOL! I added kraft taffeta ribbon for my embelishment. I also added diamond stickles to the tree.
Thats all for today! I'll be back tommorrow with an HM challenge card! Have a great night!

Upward Cheer Obsessions

Todays challenge is silhouette stamps. I love this set by H & M A Girls obsessions especially the cheerleader image since my girls are cheerleading for Upward Cheer this year. They have their first game on Saturday where they get to cheer on their little brother who is playing flag football! So expect to see pics!LOL!

I made this card for their coach and used the Upward colors. I wanted to make the pom pom more 3-d so I punched 1/2" circles in turquoise, pumpkin pie, and burgundy. I cute slits in the circles and attached them with the silver brad. It looks really cute IRL b/c you see the different colors. I added stickles to the stars in the image. Hope she likes it! Have a great day!

sc194 Real wild bayou wisemen

Sometimes it takes as long to decide on a title for my card as it does to make it! I usually like to use the color names and pick a name for the image. Dontcha like my title today!LOL!!

Todays sketch challenge is a fun one! Ive always like the color blocking look. I colored this image last night while watching the new 90210 and Priviledged. I used 3 colors I knew I had prints for(and copics/prismacolor markers!) when coloring so I could use any of them with the sketch and the sketch was perfect! I used all 3!! Love when that happens!LOL! Ive been trying to use up some of my prints so I have an excuse to get some of the new ones!
I only have a few copic/prismacolor markers. Im slowly getting my collection started so I dont have all the ones I need to do the right shading (didnt realize this while I was getting them!) The first thing I wanted to get with the markers were the in colors since SU doesnt have markers in them. I also got a 12 pack of primsacolor markers at HL with my 40% off coupon that has mostly bright colors. Copic markers are on my Christmas list!! Speaking of Christmas check out this new image by Treehouse stamps. Isnt it so cute?!?! This set will be released this Friday!!! Its so fun to color. I love how my card came together today. The design on the prints remind me of stars. I used alot of white on my card today something I dont do very often but I love how it looks! Hope you like my card as much as I do. Have a great day!

Christmas Favorites

Ive got a sneak peek from Treehouse this morning for you! The poinsetta image and sentiment are from Christmas Favorites and will be available from Treehouse stamps this Friday. Treehouse is releasing holiday stamps every Friday the month of September.
Todays color challenge is always artichoke, riding hood red, and basic grey so I had just had to ink up this poinsetta! I stamped the poinsetta image 3 times with versamagic onyx black ink. I colored one of the flowers w/marine green prismacolor pencil and 2 flowers w/crimson lake prismacolor pencil. I outlined the green flower with copic cool gray no.1 marker. I cut out both red flowers and curled the ends up and added dimensionals. I colored the center of the flower w/silver prismacolor pencil and also added silver stickles.
Its been awhile since I made an elegant card so I pulled out my arthichoke pallet of prints and used this print I love to use for elegant cards! I paired it with the ef in riding hood red. I love this print and ef together!! I used basic gray taffeta ribbon another fave of mine for more elegant cards. I wanted to use Amy's sketch challenge from the OCC blog so I added the sentiment layer with brads on each side and added dimensionals. Have a great day and check out other DT member blogs for more sneak peeks!

Glitter Surprise Bella

Todays technique challenge is glitter surprise. Instead of a background stamp I used the flip flop wheel and paired it with this Bella image I got from Ashley. Its hard to see the flip flops in the pic but its pretty IRL. I colored the image with SU, copic, and prismacolor markers. I also used some of my stash of east coast prep dp. I love this dp for fun bright cards so I had to stock up when it retired!LOL!

I cleaned my stamping area yesterday and rearranged some things and I found these sparkling brads from MM. Now my table is covered in glitter from this technique!LOL! I used Jens sfytt for my layout. Have a great day!

I want to grow old with you

Todays featured stamper is Liz aka Lazy Lizard. I cased her old friends card here. As soon as I saw her card I knew I had to use my old couple from H & M's our love. I love this sweet image! The sentiment always reminds me of the movie Wedding Singer!LOL! I changed just about everything on her card but kept the theme of the image. I used hmsc13 for my layout. I colored the image with SU markers and added highlights with my white gel pen which was really acting up tonight so forgive the highlights!LOL! I stamped the ballet blue layer tone on tone with linen background.

Short post tonight! Im beat! Have a great day!

Saturday HM Challenge

Happy Saturday to you! You know what that means-another Saturday color vs. sketch from Heather. Remeber you dont have to use HM stamps to particpate in the challenge! Heathers is giving away goodies each week for playing along so check out her blog for the details!

Okay so I have some s'plainin to do on my card today!LOL! I started off TRYING to use the sketch!LOL! It just went into something more so todays card is another sketch(ish) card!LOL! I dont know about all of you but with my cards I have to start with the main image and work everything else around the image! So I stamped the leaf image and colored using SU markers. I wanted to use the girl this time so I stamped her legs and upper body (seperate images) and colored using SU markers. I cut out her legs and body and when I was trying to get them just where I wanted I had an idea! I pulled out my craft knife (which had layers of dust!) and went along the top of the leaf pile. I tucked the upper body image under the leafs and popped up just the top so its kinda angled. I did the same thing for the legs. I stamped the leaf cluster above her head so it looks like she just threw them and its getting ready for another handful! Okay now this is the part where my brain should have said (warning main image large enough! warning!LOL!) but I love the little bag images in this set and I havent used them yet! So of course I stamped one beside her. So needless to say I had to adjust the sketch a little. I made this a large sq card using textured bravo burgundy as my card base. I layered with textured so saffron sponged w/close to cocoa. For the strip I stamped the leaf cluster onto old olive using close to cocoa. I used striped pumpkin pie ribbon and hemp twine for my stay put bow. I stamped the sentiment frolic and play in cocoa and in a leaf throwing way in burgundy. I layered the main image w/pumpkin pie and distressed the edges and sponged with close to cocoa. Sorry for the darker pic but its 11:00 at night here right now as Im writing this b/c our town festival is tommorrow. I will be back later today to announce the blog candy winner so you still have time to enter!!! Have a great Saturday!

Merry Christmas Cupcake

Treehouse stamps will be having a release every Friday this month! Todays release is this super cute Christmas cupcake set! Now I usually dont start on my Christmas cards until October but this year everyone seems determined to get me to start earlier!LOL! I just have to be in the right "mood" to really have fun creating a Christmas card so coolier weather is a definte!LOL! That being said I love this cute cupcake image!

I have a triple challenge card here this morning! Yesterdays challenge was to use your white gel pen. I used mine to make highlights on the holly and berries. Todays LSC challenge is to find a quick and simple TLC challenge to use on your card. I used paper piecing and watercoloring with markers on my card. I love paper piecing! Its my fave quick WOW technique. The dp I used is KI Memories simple Christmas stripes. For the third challenge on this triple card is Beates wsc57 for my layout.

Only one more day to enter for the blog candy!! I will announce the winner tommorrow! I've had fun reading about everyones fave thing about fall. To enter for the blog candy click here!

Our Love

Heres another sketch challenge card for you today. I also used the colors from Heathers color challenge on Saturday. Heather has a color and sketch challenge on her blog every Saturday. This week if you paricipate in both you could win GOODIES!!! You can make two cards or you can combine.

I used a new H & M stamp set called Our love! I love this set-a great set for couples! I colored the couple image using watercoloring with markers technique. I also added stickles to the necklace on the woman. I added a prima to the bottom right corner of the image. (2 days in a row using primas!yayy!) Dont they make a cute couple?!?LOL! For my background I inked up SU French script background in pale plum and stamped off once before stamping on the pale plum cs. I stamped the baroque swirl in pefect plum in the left corner (which I actually should have stamped in the right corner!). I stamped the french script background tone on tone on the perfect plum strip. I stamped the sentiment Together Forever from Our love on lower right of the pale plum layer. I used pomegrante ds ribbon instead of cs on this card for the 3 strips on the sketch.

To win some blog candy check out this post!

Pretties Brainwave sketch

Those of you who have been visiting my blog for awhile know that Ashley and I used to do challenges and post them on our blogs. Well I was super excited for her when she started her own stamp company. I was even more excited when she asked me to be a guest designer!! Well Ashley has some BIG news! She is expecting her first baby! Yaayyy! Congrats Ashley!! Ashley posts a brainwave challenge on her blog every Wed. this week its a color challenge. Come play along here! I combined the colors from the brainwave challenge with todays sketch challenge. Have I told you Im totally addicted to the PIF thread!LOL!! I love it! A great way to get some images to try out before you buy them. I will be ordering some of these adorable images from Paper pretties! Ive seen them and really liked them I just havent ordered from them YET! I got this super cute image from Lee! Thanks girlie! Isnt she soooo cute!?!? I colored her using gamsol magic and outlined with my copic cool gray no.1 marker. After I pulled out the colors from the brainwave challenge I realized that three of the colors (teal, choc chip, regal rose) were in SU retired Loves me dp and I had some flowers punched out in the dp! yayy!! After I found the flowers I realized the design of the dp also matched the dotted background stamp from Polka dots and paisleys! So my card was born....Love when everything fall together!LOL! Hope you have a great day and dont forget to post a comment to win blog candy here!!

cc183 Wally Walrus

Todays color challenge is the first one using the new in colors. Emily picked green galore, going gray, and riding hood red. It took me a little time to find an image I wanted to use this morning. I knew I didnt want to do a Christmas card! Its too early for that for me! So my first thought was frogs or turtles b/c of the green. I didnt have any that I thought would work so I went digging through my PIF images and came across Wally Walrus. Thanks Collette!! He was perfect. So the next thing I had to do was find a sentiment small enough to fit in his little sign. I grabbed PTI's faux ribbon. Okay I have a confession....Ive had this faux ribbon set since it was released and all I've used out of it is the sentiments(and they have had plenty of love!)! Ive never tried to use the stripe images for dp or ribbon!LOL! Since I didnt have any dp to match the colors today I decided I would make my own! Next time I wont space my lines as far apart as I did today but Im pretty pleased with my results. Okay I have another confession....I have this thing with using primas with animals unless it has a flower image! I cant do it! It just never looks right to me!LOL! I see some really cute cards on SCS using cutesy or animal images with primas and I really like them but when I'M doing it its another story!LOL! Ive had this bag of primas so long I dont remeber where they came from! I think I've used 2 out of the pack but I found 2 that matched riding hood red! Yayyy! For my layout I used one of Kirstens old sketches but made a few changes. I colored Wally using gamsol magic. I added white gel pen dots to his face and outlined him with silver gelly roll pen but its hard to see in the pic so I attached a close up view.

Dont forget about the blog candy on the post below! I will let one of the kids draw a name on Saturday! Have a great day!!

Fs83 A Leaf Load of cardcrazy fun

Congrats to Denise aka cardcrazy todays featured stamper. I love Denise gallery! I cased a this card of hers. I loved the leaves on her card and it gave me a chance to ink up H & M's A leaf load. I love this set! A fun fall set! This little boy looks like hes about to have a blast!LOL! I used Beate wsc56 for my layout.

I colored the image using watercoloring with markers technique. I have to say Im pretty proud of my coloring on this one! Ive tried it before and didnt like the outcome then I realized I was using 90 lb cold press watercolor paper. For best results on this technique 140 lb cold press watercolor paper is needed. I stamped the leaf pile twice to pop it up. Can you believe I actually remebered to use HH on this! Im so proud!LOL!

I dont know about you but Im ready for some fall weather so....to get us fully ready for fall how about some fall blog candy. Its been awhile since Ive given you a chance to get goodies. How about this new A leaf load from H & M?!?! To enter just leave me a comment telling me your fave thing about fall! I love fall its my fave season! As a kid my fave thing about fall meant the fair! I used to love to go to the fair w/my best friend we always had a blast!

Raggedy Anns horse

Since Alanas napping I decided to get a little more stamp time in so I made another card for todays sketch. I used H & M's new stamp set Generation of stitches. I love this set! This image reminds me of Raggedy Ann and Andys horse! I have a boy and girl card for you today. For the boy card I used todays sketch and MME dp. I colored the horse using Julees no copics no problem technique. For the girl card I used KI memories sweet and sassy stitches and colored the horse using Su markers blended with alcohol on Pti white. I definetly like the other coloring technique more. The layout for my girl card is a sketch challenge from a couple of weeks ago but right now I cant find where!LOL! I added buttons as embellishment on both cards b/c I cant NOT put buttons for some reason using this set!LOL!

Dont forget about the H & M shipping special! Hop on over and check it out! Have a great day! Oh and for some reason that I cant explain Ive tried to rename this stamp set in my head!! So if you see where I address this stamp set as Everyday stitches you know what Im talking about! I had to go back yesterday morning in my haste and correct it here and on SCS!LOL!

Popcorn Bear

Todays sketch was just what I needed to make a card using my new super cute Rubbernecker image. Isnt he adorable!?!LOL!
I made my card a sq card base since the image is large. I colored popcorn bear with copic markers. I used my white gel pen for the nose and cheeks.
As soon as I saw this image I knew I wanted to make some dp using the popcorn image from SU Treat yourself. I stamped the popcorn randomly on ga pacific white and colored with copics. I used my SU real red and black markers to make my dots. I used striped real red grosgrain to cover the seam I thought this ribbon would be cute since it matches the popcorn bag! I colored the clear bella bauble with my copic marker (the bottom bauble is a little off I just noticed that!LOL!). I think this turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself!LOL!
Alana is doing wonderful!! She did fantastic yesterday! Im so proud of her. She never once complained about pain and she only cried once and it was when she first woke up in recovery. As soon as we got back to the room she was sitting up in the bed talking to everyone and wanting her presents!LOL! She got up and walked the halls a couple of times. We didnt have to stay overnight we made it home just in time to watch the new 90210 last night! Have a great day!

Generation of stitches

Im updating my blog from the hospital with Mama's laptop. Its good to have connections at the hospital!LOL!

Todays color challenge is to create a card using a monochromatic color combo. This was a perfect challenge for this super cute new set from H & M. I love this Generation of stitches set. This is a great baby set! I pulled out my summer sun textured cs and bazzill yellow, I added kraft and ga pacific white for my neutrals. I used copic markers to color my image then outlined with cool gray no.1. I used an old sketch challenge from Beates blog for my layout. I added 2 silver brads and yellow grosgrain ribbon for my embellies. Dontcha just love that sentiment..."you've gotten the cutest little..." Heather has designed this set so you can add...button nose, baby bottom, or baby face. So cute! It also has lots of family sentiments like Mother, father, grand, etc.

Please keep Alana in your thoughts and prayers. I will be back later with an update on her! Have a great day and dont forget about Heathers free shipping!!! If you like this image and would like to see the entire set click here

Fright Night with a little black magic

Today is the day H & M releases 40 stamp sets and as an added bonus Heather is offereing FREE shipping!! Gotta love that! To visit the H & M store click on the link on my sidebar!

On to todays card! Todays technique challenge is Black Magic. I've seen the technique before but never tried it. Its fun to do but not so fun to try to photograph especially on a cloudy day! The spooky house and fence are stamped with craft white ink and colored using prismacolor pencils dipped in gamsol. All the images used on my card are from H & M's new Fright Night! A great halloween set! Okay so youre probably looking at my colors and thinking its not exactly looking like a halloween card but theres a reason just be patient!LOL! I used Taylors cupcake challenge for my layout. I kept my design pretty basic I stamped the bats in the upper left corner and added black gingham ribbon and the popped up oval sentiment for accents.

Okay now for the explanation of colors! Sorry Im a little longwinded today b/c Im so excited to share with you my next creation!!! I bought some test tubes from Michaels the other day. I went looking online to see if I could find any ideas to use with them. I saw a few creations that I liked(and bookmarked for later use) but not exactly what I was looking for. So I ran to the dollar store to get some candy and go from there! Boy am I glad I did!LOL! I found the cutest thing!! Monster potions by Nerds! They are so cute and they were already in a test tube! Heck yeah!LOL! Okay so they were in a box of 12 and there are 4 different candies so I just picked up the whole box. I came home took apart the box and designed this......
How cute is this!?!?! I dont usually like to toot my own horn but BEEP!! BEEP!! I love this! I have the hardest time making boxes, etc from directions but I sat down and made my own template with this! So I know you are all wanting directions, tutorial, etc. and it coming soon! I do have a couple of things I want to change to stabilize the box more before I do a tutorial! All images/sentiment on the box are all also from Fright Night! See I told you this was a fun set! I just love the book case with the eyes peeking out!LOL! Just in case you cant see the names of the candies they are bat bite antidote, vampire vaccine, werewolf morph, and mummy makeover. Perfect!! And as you can see I pulled the colors from the candies for my color combo! Can you tell Im super excited about this!LOL!
I'll be back later with another H & M creation....until then have a great day!
